200/2000 points
Since I don't have time for a job due to my classes, I decided to do a bit of cleaning through my books and maybe sell what I do not need/want anymore. I don't think I will be able to sell them for a lot, but I will still make a buck, and my room will be cleaner.
I don't want to tell anyone I know I want to buy a bjd. Is not like they will be directly against it, but they will be like "Do you reaaaaaally need one?". Is nothing malicious. They just aren't into dolls. I feel like it's normal for people to not understand your every hobby or passion. And I am sure once I will get it they will like it too because I like it.

Rozen maiden was my first exposure to bjds. Ever since I saw them I wanted to own a bjd.

In order to not use a currency, I decided to tell you all that I need 2000 points for my first bjd. I also think that this makes this whole thing feel more like a game. I can also write at the top of my post how many points I have.
Did you also decided to buy your first bjd this year? Or a new bjd? Let's all do the points system and reach our goals together!
Reglog and let me know how many points do you need in order to buy your doll.

omg I adore it!
SHE MADE IT SAFE AND SOUND!!! MY WIFE!!!!!!!
She does have a ton of quality issues imo (the faceup is just okay, the wig is poorly styled and thin, her glasses are cast resin and cannot be adjusted and will slide off if I look at her funny, and same goes for the chain on them...) but I'm thrilled to actually own this one, she really was a grail for so long.

So, more details about my journey. I do not want to say what doll I want to buy. I want to keep it a secret for a while, out of the fear that if I say it will magically become unavailable.
What I can tell you is that is a bjd on the more cheaper side. But despite being on the cheaper side she is just BEAUTIFUL! Until now I never saw a doll and thought "I NEED THIS DOLL!".
Feel free to reblog this post and tell me how you felt when you bought your first ever bjd? What convinced you to buy it?

So! I have been looking at bjds for over a decade. Always looked, always post phoned getting one. I always said "Oh, they are too expensive" , "maybe I will grow out of it", "maybe is not for me", "I don't understand how to buy one", etc. And also, it was harder to get stuff shipped to my country in the past.
But one decade later I still love dolls and bjds, I did not grow out of it, and worse, I finally saw a doll I fell in love with.
F*ck me!
Now my love for the dolls is even bigger cause I am not just admiring the wonderful people in the community, but I am actively looking at a doll I want to own.
But I am a mere poor student, so I can't just buy it. I don't have a stable source of income. So I will have to save my pocket money like hell and also get creative. But this will make everything even more fun!
I know a lot of people that want to get their first bjd are in a similar situation. Buying a bjd is an investment of sorts. But looking back at my younger self, there were plenty of opportunities to save, but I wasn't wise enough at the time. But that is not the end of the world.
Sooooo, I decided to record my journey on me figuring out how to buy my first ever bjd. I will record the challenges and the entire experience. Maybe this will encourage other too?
See you next post!
