Obligatory PSA that if you're from the US and were interested in my original art you might want to get it now to avoid the random tariffs coming at the end of the month

Blessing of the Bee is now available on Everyday Original!
Bee, birdie of air, Bring nectar on thy tongue, With a tiny pitcher, Only fitting a finger.
The bee was seen both as a potential threat due to its stings but also as a healer that brought honey for ailments and other uses. There are many spells and songs for preventin or healing a sting, but also many songs pleading for the bee to bring in precious honey.
This painting is from my mini series “Blessings of the Old Gods” in which I explored various blessings related to animals. Many of them have to do with health, fortune and protection against evil and misfortune.
Painted in ink and gold medium on 300 g/sqm Arches hot press watercolour paper. The painting is unframed.
