Childhood Dream Come True

Memoir
When you were growing up as a kid, we were interested in everything, you would want to do everything and try it all but you had a couple things that stuck out to you as a kid, and you knew back then that you were going to love this for awhile or your entire life. When you figure out what you really like, that is when you think about all the awesome things that come with it, you might have subconscious dreams at night about things and then wake up thinking about it and wanting to go or do it so badly. Well ever since I could walk, I played sports, I was always doing a couple sports. Baseball is the sport to me as a kid that was my favorite, I always wanted to hit things and hitting a baseball was the best to me, it was awesome. As I grew up and got older and started getting into competitive and travel baseball at age 7, there was one place that every young, competitive, baseball player wanted to go and they all knew about. It was a dream to all young baseball players, and it most certainly as a kid was my dream.
In Cooperstown, New York, there is a massive baseball complex named “Cooperstown Dream’s Park” with 25+ baseball fields all with wooden green fences around the outside and all the fields were 200ft. They took great care of these fields and made them look amazing with grass infields. They also had an area for all the teams to each have a “barrack” and inside the barrack was only bunkbeds and that was it. There was about 200 barracks and they have them to keep the teams together for the week long tournament that they put on. During the summer Dream’s Park has around 10 weeks where each week they have 150-200 new teams from around the world come and stay in there barracks and play in the tournament. The complex also had a dining hall for all the players and provide 3 meals a day, they also have an arcade because as a kid, that was heaven, every kid loves arcades especially when their parents give them money and they blow it all. The tournament was for all players the age of 12. Safe to say this place was a dream to all young baseball players.
When I was 12 years old, I did get the chance to live my childhood dream and go to New York and play baseball for a week with my team. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. My father was the only ones from my family that could make the trip with me and he helped coach my team so he got to stay in the barracks with us. In 2012, my father and I took off on a plane that was headed to Chicago, and from there we were getting on another flight that was headed to Albany, New York. When we landed in New York I immediately filled with excitement and was so excited to get there. We rented a convertible car and started driving to Cooperstown, when we got there, the complex jumped out of nowhere, it was hiding behind some mountains because we couldn't see anything until we could see it all. When I saw it, my eyes stoped blinking, my jaw dropped open and I bursted with excitement, way more than I ever did when we landed in Albany, everything felt so not real because of how amazing the place was. We checked in and went to our barrack and my dad and I got to share a bunkbed together, it was unusual but fun.
The first day after everyone got there, all teams had to go to the main stadium field for a presentation. It was an introduction to Dream’s Park and each team was presented as everyone else watched. We didn't get to start playing baseball until the next day, so after the presentation we had time to mess around and have fun so my teammates and I all played a wiffleball baseball game, after that we went to the dining hall and got to eat a meal there for the first time. Before we went to bed and got some sleep for our game the next day, we had to test out the arcade and figure out if it’s a good one, so my dad gave me some money and I tried it out. Turns out the arcade was amazing and had so many games that were so fun.
Today is the day that the games begin, the tournament is set up where you play 7 pool play games and then you get seeded, the top 64 seeds continue playing in a single elimination bracket until we have a champion. As pool play started we were playing really well and ended up going 5-2 in pool play. In our last pool play game, I was up to bat and it was a tough at bat, I got to a full count and was battling hard. As the pitcher threw the ball, I saw a fastball right down the middle and I let it rip, I squared the ball up and started running, when I hit first base and looked up as I was rounding, I heard all the fans and my team cheering very loud and I saw the outfielders at the wall and I realized that I just hit a home run. I could not stop smiling as I jogged around the bases and was so happy. I knew that I would remember this for the rest of my life. Somebody got the ball I hit and I still to this day have the same ball I hit.
We made it into the top 64 teams and in our first bracket play game, we ended up losing a heart breaker and our tournament was over. It was very sad to have it all come to an end and not make it further, but the time I had there was so awesome and fun and I am so thankful that I got to experience this, I knew how lucky I was and that not everyone get’s this opportunity. Going to Dream’s Park is something I will never forget and the people I went with made my time there awesome.

How do you deal with boredom?
NY Times Writing Prompt
I deal with boredom in numerous amount of ways, it depends on the day and what I have in the future to do. When I am bored, my mind is always seeing things to do and I will see something and come up with ideas. I am creative and so when I am bored, I love to draw because that lets me make whatever I want and it is hard and takes awhile. If I have homework due in the near future and I am bored, sometimes I will do my homework because it gives me something to do that I already need done in the future so might as well do it now.

Dear Reader,
In my research about vegetarians I wanted to find out about why people chose to eat a vegetarian diet, and not a traditional meat-eater diet, also I wanted to know about what really being vegetarian is and know the difference between the different types of vegetarian diets, and last I really wanted to know more about the health benefits and what being vegetarian really does to make a difference and stand out compared to a meat-eater diet.
I have some experience with family member being vegetarian so I immediately thought of her and gave her a call. I told her about my research paper and asked if I could ask her a couple questions about being vegetarian. She told me that when she made the switch from meat-eater to vegetarian diet, after 2 weeks she said she could feel the difference and felt energized and said she truly felt more clean and healthier.
I learned so much through this paper about being vegetarian and it has opened my eyes to how what you eat has a huge direct impact on your overall health. I learned that vegetarian can also event reduce risk of developing cancer by 40 percent and helps with so much more like helps prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure, prevent or reduce diabetes, reduces medication needed for asthma and the severity of asthma attacks, reduce kidney stones and gallstones. I found this so interesting because it was so new and I had no clue it could be so beneficial to choose a vegetarian diet.
Sincerely yours,
Andrew Hill

Vegetarian? Let’s learn more.
Do you really know what being vegetarian is and do you know if it’s healthier for you and why people choose it? Today in my paper we are going to break down what being vegetarian is and the benefits that come with it, and we will also go over some concerns that vegetarians have when it comes to their diet. When you look up vegetarian in google, the definition will state “a person who does not eat meat, and sometimes other animal products, especially for moral, religious, or health reasons.” Vegetarianism has the side of science when it comes to health, you will find out more why science is on the vegetarian side later in my paper.
First lets go over why people choose to be a vegetarian and not a tradition diet. There is many different reasons why people choose to be vegetarian. One of the main reasons is that some people don’t like to eat animals that were once alive. They just do not like the thought of eating them and the thought of killing them to eat, but unfortunately that is the way life is, and the people that kill them for us to eat and doing their roles and it’s not wrong, just some people choose differently and that is fine because being vegetarian is not a bad choice.
Another reason is some peoples religions require vegetarianism or strongly advocate towards it. Vegetarianism is strongly linked in religions that originated in ancient India, the three religions that do is Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Jainism is the only one where vegetarianism is mandatory for everyone, in Hinduism and Buddhism it is strongly advised by influential scriptures and religion authorities but they do not make you choose a vegetarian diet.
Lastly, people choose to be a vegetarian because it is a healthier lifestyle and has so many health benefits. There has been large health studies held in Germany and England that have shown that being vegetarian makes you 40 percent less likely to develop cancer when comparing to meat-eaters. In the United States, they have found similar data that vegetarians are less likely to develop cancer. This is because vegetarians avoid animal products and a lot of animal fat can be linked to cancer, and vegetarians get more vitamins, phytochemical, and fibers that help prevent cancer, and also they did blood analysis of vegetarians blood and the analysis showed that they have much higher levels of “natural killer cells”, these cells are specialized white blood cells that attack cancer cell and so this makes vegetarians less likely to develop cancer when they have more white blood cells trained to fight off the cancer.
Now that you know the basics of what a vegetarian is, and why people choose it, it is time to break down what really being a vegetarian is and all the types of vegetarian diets. First you should know their is many different types of vegetarian diets and I will talk to you about them and what makes them different compared to other vegetarian diets. A “lacto-ovo vegetarian” consumes milk and dairy foods, eggs, grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds. This type of vegetarian diet is the easiest to follow because it only takes away meat, fish, and poultry. The next step up is a small change and it is called a “lacto-vegetarian” and it follows all the same rules except this type does not eat eggs. When someone is a “true vegetarian” and truly does not touch anything to do with animals, they are called “vegan” and they don’t eat meat, milk and dairy products, lard, gelatin and any foods with ingredients from an animal source, and some vegans eat honey and some do not.
A vegetarian diet has so many health benefits that most people don’t know about. Earlier I told you about how it reduces cancer risk and now I will share with you more of the health benefits that come with being vegetarian. Choosing a vegetarian diet also helps prevent heart disease. We get most saturated fats from animals and animals are also our only source of cholesterol in the diet. Vegetarians do not eat meat or animal products so it eliminates these risky products from your diet and those fats and cholesterol aren’t the best for your heart, so it helps prevent against heart disease. Another way the vegetarian diet is good for your heart is that it lowers your blood pressure. In 1900s some nutritionists found and noted that people who chose a vegetarian diet all had lower blood pressure from before they started, no matter the sodium levels in the vegetarian diet. Nobody knows exactly why a vegetarian diet helps lower your blood pressure but we have a good clue and that is cutting out meat, dairy products, and extra fats reduces the bloods thickness, and that would bring down your blood pressure because if your blood could flow like water and not like hand soap, your heart wouldn't have to work so hard to process it around your body.
Another health benefit that comes with being vegetarian is that in some cases it can prevent or reverse diabetes. Non-insulin-dependent (adult-onset) diabetes can really be controlled and in some cases eliminated through a low-fat, vegetarian diet, and of course with regular exercise. This works because with a diet like this that is low in fat and high in fiber and that also have complex carbohydrates, it allows the insulin to work much better and act way more efficient. Unfortunately a vegetarian diet cannot eliminate the need for insulin in people with insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes. Although it can help reduce the amount of insulin needed for that person with type 1 diabetes that is insulin dependent.
The next health benefit that vegetarians have is that’s been shown to reduce a persons chance of forming kidney stones and gallstones. This has been shown because urinary tract stones have three main components and those are calcium, oxalate, and uric acid. Non vegetarian diets that are high in protein, especially animal protein, cause the body to excrete more calcium, oxalate, and uric acid, so in this case if you choose a vegetarian diet you will cause your body to excrete less amounts of calcium, oxalate, and uric acid and that means you will have a less chance of having kidney stones or gallstones.
A unique health benefit that vegetarians have is that for some reason their has been studies that have shown that it can help with asthma. The study was held in Sweden in 1985 and they found that practicing a vegetarian diet for a full year has helped people with asthma not need as much medication, and also found that the vegetarian diet helps make the severity of asthma attacks decrease.
When becoming a vegetarian, people have all types of concerns about how you will get all the essential nutrients your body needs to grow and live. A lot of times people forget that protein comes from other things and not only meat. Any normal variety of plant foods has enough protein that the body needs. Vegetarian diets clearly do have a little less protein compared to a meat-eaters diet, but most people don’t know that it is an advantage. Diets that have a lot of animal protein have been linked to kidney stones, osteoporosis, heart disease, and some cancers. A vegetarians diet focused on whole grains, beans, and vegetables has enough protein without having to much like most meat-eaters get. They also wonder how we will get calcium, calcium is not hard to find in a vegetarian diet, many dark green leafy vegetables and beans are loaded with calcium and also strangely some orange-juices and non-dairy milks contain calcium. Vitamin B12 is another issue for vegans. This vitamin is found mainly in animals and so if you are a vegan, this would be a problem but it is easy to deal with. Small amounts of vitamin B12 may be found in plant products because bacterial contamination can happen and get into the plant products. Although that small amount is not a reliable source, and vitamin B12 is needed for people to meet nutritional needs. Vegans usually solve this problem by taking a vitamin B12 pill that is made for vegetarians that need their vitamin B12.

New York Times 10/19~ Do You Apologize Too Much?
Url: https://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/01/21/do-you-or-people-you-know-apologize-all-the-time/
Yes, I most definitely do apologize to much. Although if you spend a lot of time with me you may find it is really annoying but I don't think of it as a bad thing. I think it shows that even if I have no control over what happened to the person that wasn't what they preferred, no matter how small or big the thing is, that I care about them and what happened and I want to make it right. In a way it is a way to keep conversation calm and pleasant and do not want to upset the person by what happened. It is a habit that I could stop but I don't think need to stop and it's most definitely not worth my time to try and stop something like that when I don’t perceive it as a bad thing.

Proposal Essay

Today I will talk to you about a problem in the United States that I believe is getting bad and needs to change for the good. Childhood obesity in the United States is getting worse and worse, the percentage has tripled since the 1970′s and has shown no improvement for the future. Nearly 1 in 5 children ages from 6-19 years old has obesity. The definition of obesity to clarify for you is “having excess body fat”. This is a problem because obesity is killing too many people in the United States, when it shouldn't be killing anyone. It is something that needs to be put on the radar and somebody needs to do something about it.
Well first I will start by giving you some factors that cause obesity in early ages. One of the main factors is genetics, some people have family history of obesity and honestly they are born with it, but being born obese or into a obese family does not mean you can't do something about the obesity and lose weight and try to get your family into working out and making your entire family healthier. A second factor to childhood obesity is that every kid has a different metabolism and the better metabolism you have means you can transfer the food and oxygen you take in into more usable energy, kids with worse metabolisms tend to be more obese because they don’t quite make all the food or oxygen into energy and it is much slower process and that can lead to obesity in early ages. Another factor that plays a huge role on childhood obesity is that the community you live in. If you live in a community that cares for everyone and wants to help everyone and be healthy then they will probably in the schools make sure the kids are eating healthy and getting all their fruits and vegetables and making sure the kids get at least 60 minutes of exercise everyday at school. This gets the kids into habit of eating right and getting exercise. If your community is not really involved then that means the responsibility of eating right at school and working out is on the kid and we all know kids just don’t know so they do the wrong thing a lot of the times. Next factor is kids not getting enough sleep night after night, your body burns calories and loses weight in its sleep so when you continuously have short sleep periods, then you have less time to lose weight and so therefore, you don't lose yourself’s full potential of weight while sleeping. Last factor is one I don't have to go into much detail about because I think most people know that if you have bad eating behaviors and don't get enough physical exercise then that leads to early obesity.
Now that you know the factors of the problem, here's my solution. We need to get in touch and talk with all K-8 grade schools in the United States and get them all on the same or similar eating and exercise daily, all the kids across the United States need to get exposed to healthy living and how to do it properly. They all will need to learn and get into a habit of eating right and exercising early in their life so they know it is important and something they should never stop doing. This will help program the kids, because if they are exposed to it when they are young, and if they grow up being told the same thing over and over, then they will probably understand the importance of being healthy and how to live a healthy life. This will help decrease the amount of obesity cases found in early ages and then also teaches the kids for them to know for life. The most important thing that this helps is it will cut down on childhood deaths across the United States caused from obesity.

What have you done to earn money?
URL: https://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/06/what-have-you-done-to-earn-money/
I have earned money in mainly two ways throughout the years. When I didn't have time to have an actual job with weekly hours and all of that, I had to just do some chores like mow grass, pull weeds, mulch, and earned money from that. That was all just because I didn't have time for a real job and would do these jobs for my neighbors and grandparents and they would make me take their money, even if I told them I didn't want it.
Now that I have time and not playing a sport, I am earning a consistent amount every two weeks at Taco Bell on 151st street. I work as a service employee and so I deal with the customers orders, complaints and cashier. It is very difficult because there is so many things to always be checking and do for each customer. I also had a small part time weekend job at Lake Quivira Golf Course, on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6 am would go out on the course and rake all bunkers and mow the greens and prepare the course to be golfed on and keep it looking nice.

It’s Party Time
I hope you all like to party if you are reading this, I also have a feeling that if you are reading this, then you are thinking about having a party yourself. Well you have came to the right spot because today I am going to teach you how to have a party and how to do it properly. I will break it down into three parts of party planning, before the party, during the party, after the party. If you are brave enough to continue reading, then you will learn much more about each step in the party planning process.
Obviously the first step is before the party, this I believe is the most important step in planning a party. Before your party you will want to grab a couple of close friends and have them help you gather stuff you need, come up with ideas, and help out with the party. First thing you need to do is come up with date and time of your party, when that is complete then you will be able to start getting the word out about party, start letting all your friends know and post some pictures on social media about it if you want, it is very important to get the word out and usually the earlier you let people know about the party, then it gets on there plans and allows them to schedule around it, if they find out the day of or night of, then they might already have plans and can’t go. Before your party you should make sure you have a good sound system and if you don’t, find a friend to bring some big speakers because we all know loud music is a key item to a great party. Next you will want to create a way to keep a lot of beverages of your choice, cold and ready to take for the partiers. Last thing to do before your party is to put some trash cans throughout your house, this will allow anybody near the trash can or that know about the trash can to throw their trash away and if they were a great person, then they would pick up for the person having the party. Sometimes people want to help throw away trash but don’t ever know where the trash is because it is not their house, if you make it obvious where trash cans are, then people will throw away trash more then if they can’t find one. I am going to share with you guys a tip, if you have things laying around your house that you don’t want to be taken or that if its important to you, then I would before the party, walk around and gather those items and place them all in a safe place that only you know about, this way your items will be safe during the party.
The second step in the party planning process is during the party. During the party, you will always have to stay alert and stay on top of what is going on, because at the end of the day, you are the one responsible for what happens on your property, so stay alert and make sure nobody does anything idiotic that would get themselves hurt, or someone else. You will want to try and linger around the door so you are able to see everyone entering the house and leaving, this is good because if you see someone come inside that you don't approve of, then you can get him out fast and quick. This also allows you to not let people drive after they have been drinking that night, drunk driving is something that can be stopped easily with good friends, stop your friend from driving after he’s been drinking, it is never worth it and you aren’t just putting your own life at risk, you are putting other innocent people in danger. During the party if you find yourself thinking about how the clean up is gonna be hell, then during the party, clean up as you go along, ask people nicely to just throw away there trash, you will be surprised how people respond to you asking them something nicely and letting them know it would be a huge help, people like to help so you might be surprised with the amount of trash people actually throw away.
The last step in this process is most definitely the worst and most boring part of the process. Its called after the party, and this is where you have to do some real cleaning, where you will have to empty trash from all over the house, you will have to clean up counter tops because obviously people spilled and gets all sticky. You will have to almost seem to put the inside of your house together again because the people that come to the party will take chairs and seats and move them all over the house and you will have to find all of them, and put all the furniture back into its original spot. You will have to return all items that you borrow from your friends, and make sure the drinks get put back into a refrigerator after the party. Always do final checks throughout the house to make sure you don’t find anyones personal belongings and can return it.
By now, I really hope I have built your confidence in party planning, and I hope you feel good about planning your own party for your friends, or at least I hope you all have learned something and feel a little better about it. Remember that getting the word out about your party is a huge key to a successful party, if people don't know, then people won’t come and it’s that simple, so get the word out and watch as your party can take off and turn into something fun and amazing.

What Animal Are You Most Like?
Url: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/26/learning/what-animal-are-you-most-like.html?rref=collection%2Fcolumn%2Flearning-student-opinion
I would definitely say I am most like a monkey for multiple reasons. First of all I think monkeys are very cool and unique because they can move and climb like no other. They even use their tails like arms and use them to grab limbs to help them climb. Monkeys I think are the most similar to a human than any other animal. They have opposable thumbs like us humans, most animals can't grab things with one arm and throw it, but monkeys can. I am very good at climbing and when I was younger and occasionally now, I would climb on everything, climb up trees, anything that could be climbed, I either thought about climbing it, or did indeed climb it. I also like to throw things and I feel monkeys like to also so that's another reason why I choose monkeys. Last of all, monkeys are very expressive and show their personality and I feel like I am kinda similar to that and monkeys can be very loud, and a lot of times, I can be a little too loud. This is why I think I am most like a monkey, and honestly, I think most humans are more similar to monkeys, than any other animal on the planet.

Fans? They are everything.
When you go to a Professional sporting event, doesn’t matter if its the Royals, Chiefs, Sporting Kansas City, could be any team, what makes your experience at that game so good and fun or what makes your experience not the best, and wishing it was better? What gives you that good feeling you get inside that makes you wanna go back so badly? What gives you the chills and goosebumps that run down your body? During the game I'm sure you all have thought “why do my ears hurt?” Then forget that thought and immediately go back to cheering on your team and enjoying the pain. If you want to learn more about how fans have a bigger impact on your experience than you think, then continue to read.
Fans are one of the most important things for a Professional team, they are what makes the team who they truly are, they are what makes your experience so good, and they are also why you leave wishing it was better. They provide the money to the stadium and team, if nobody showed up, then the stadium would not make money because nobody would buy the food, drinks and apparel all at very overprice, and the team wouldn’t want to play in that location anymore and would most likely end up moving to a new location, or they would sell or close the team and use the stadium for a different team or different events.
Now to the type of fans and how their actions have a bigger impact on the entire mood in the stadium and personally how their actions effect your experience. Their actions dictate the entire mood of the stadium because when you have a large amount of fans that mostly all love the same team and are willing to pay to come support and cheer on their team, that’s when the stadium feels like a big happy family that all share the same love and passion for that team. If you don't have many fans show up, then its very hard to get the mood in the stadium to be so uplifting and exciting because you just cant be as loud and when its loud, you know there is a lot of fans and that they are all cheering on the same team, but when its not very loud, its just not as exciting and makes the mood not as good. I think we all can agree that when the mood is not good, that its hard to have a great, fun, and exciting time. Your personal experience at a game is largely based off the mood of the stadium, when you have not a large amount, and they aren’t loud and cheering, it makes the game not as fun to watch and makes you wonder why you came, when you could be at home, sitting in air conditioning, on your favorite couch, eating free food, walking five steps to the bathroom, and wearing anything you want. We all go to the games because we want to have a fun, and good experience, not to go to the game and have a boring experience and pay a lot of money for food and wait in lines for the restroom, all of is worth it if its a good experience but isn’t so worth it when you don't have a great experience. When the stadium is packed full, and they are all loud and cheering on their team the whole game, losing their voices but continuing to try and yell. Thats when you have a great experience and it makes all the over priced things you purchased, the 20 minute bathroom break, and the blazing heat or freezing cold worth it.
I will tell you guys some of my own personal experience with good fans and bad fans, I will go over the good experience first and spend a little more time on it then the bad. This fantastic experience took place in 2015, my family and I went to the Kansas City Royals game and the game we went to was in the post season, so it was a very important game. You could tell it was a important game because when you took your first step through the entry gates, you could immediately feel the energy in the stadium, you could feel the excitement roar through the stadium, you would look around and see nothing but smiling people, watching and joining the Royals on their ride to be the World Series Champions. This is the type of fans that all teams want to fill their stadiums, this is the type of game experience that makes you want to come back for more and its largely because the fans that were there with you, they had a great time and also made your experience better without even knowing it.
Don't get me wrong, all teams appreciate all fans but they don’t want fans that come to the games and just sit there and not cheer or buy anything or make any connections with the stadium like interacting with the game. This year I unfortunately didn’t have the best experience at the Royals games that I went to, there was something different this time then what I remember from that post season game back in 2015. The most obvious difference's was the amount of people and the noise. This time when I entered, I had plenty of room to move around and walk and in 2015, there was almost no room to walk because there was so many fans that showed up to watch. Obviously if there is less people then the noise isn’t gonna be as loud, but it wasn’t just the noise, I never got that rush of energy or thrill of excitement, I never heard the roar of the crowd like last time at all throughout the two games I went to this year. I didn’t think I would ever notice moments of silence at a Professional game, but for some reason I noticed the stadium seemed legitimately silent, I thought it was really weird and it stuck out to me because I knew it shouldn’t be happening. When I was leaving the stadium, I didn’t have the excitement and want to go back for more like I did in 2015.
If you made it to the end of my paper then I want to thank you because trust me, I know how hard it was for you. I hope that all you fans that are reading this, are all the good type, the ones that make the stadium feel like home, that cheer on your team, that love the pain of losing your voice, that support your team throughout the years and stick with them during the rough ones. If you are reading this and know you aren’t a good type of fan, you don't have to admit it or anything, I just want you to learn from my paper and maybe the next time you go to a game, get involved with the game and people around you and it could be the start of making your teams stadium feel like home.

Intro Essay
I will start this off like every paper you will read for this essay. Hello, I am Andrew Hill, and I am 18 years old. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and I have lived with my parents and my three siblings in the same house for 18 years. My siblings are named Justin, Quinn, and Madison. Justin is my older brother, he is 20 and goes to Johnson County Community College. Quinn is my younger brother, he is 17 and he is a senior at Blue Valley Southwest. Madison is the youngest of us all, she is 15 and she is a sophomore at BVSW high school. I also attended Blue Valley Southwest High School and graduated in 2018.
In high school, sports was something that was very important to me, it has always been my entire life. Sports has never stopped for me, ever since I could remember, I was always doing something sport related, rather it was traveling all summer for baseball, or staying for practice, going in early to practice, going to tournaments or games. This all sadly came to an end my senior year after I graduated, sports was done for me and it has been something very new. During high school I never had a quarter of school without playing a sport. I played football, where I earned two varsity letters and my junior year I played cornerback and my senior year I played wide receiver and cornerback, I also played some strong safety during that season. During the winter I wrestled, I earned three varsity letter, one at 145 pound weight class and two at 160 pound weight class. My junior and senior year were my best years because I was apart of the varsity team the entire season. Junior year my record was 26-11 and I qualified for state but did not place top 6 in the state, that year my team placed 6th in the state. My senior year I had to go through a lot of adversity and I didn’t perform well, I had pneumonia and mono during the season and continued to wrestle through it and I lost about 30 pounds and weighed 140 pounds wrestling at 160 pounds, I somehow managed to fight my way to state and qualified. That year I did not place top 6 but my team placed 5th that year. During the spring was baseball season, I earned three varsity letters, I played shortstop and would also play second base and would pitch when I was needed. My team made it to state in 2017 and also in 2018, we placed in the top 8 in the state both years. I finished high school with 8 varsity sport letters. I was apart of 4 regional championship teams, two in wrestling and two in baseball. I also was apart of the first League championship in Blue Valley Southwest history, and also another league title in 2018, both were with wrestling.
This paragraph I am gonna try to keep on track and keep it simple enough for you to understand. I am gonna try to tell you some things that I think will be good for you to know about me. I for some reason like to write a little to much about stuff that doesn’t matter. I am a morning person as soon as my feet hit the cold ground and I stand up off my bed, at that moment, I am able to start my day well. I will try my 100% best to be on time but I promise you, I do make mistakes and I do sleep in, like everybody, but I will be to every class and if I am not by the end of class, then you will already know or I am still at home asleep and if that time comes, I will apologize when so.
Now about my writing, it really only happens when I have stuff to write for school, as in homework and papers and projects and I also have social media so I believe that is a form of writing so I write very rarely on social media like Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat. I don’t have a process I go through when I am writing something for school, this could be a direct correlation on me getting lost when writing stories and not being able to write long passages very well. I think I can write my best stuff about things I am strong in, things I agree with very much and things I know a lot about, if I am writing about stuff like that, then I am able to write my best work. Also, if I am very focused on writing and only writing then that helps write my best stuff because I can really think about what I am doing and really put my thoughts into words and create something amazing.
