Dylan was rushing, doing five things at once. What else was new? As he texted his colleague, he carefully dodged the people walking towards him (not entirely without the help of his power). His blonde hair fell in line with the wind, having a life of its own, yet looking exactly the way he intended it to. On the left side of his forehead was small wound that clearly had been bleeding, a line of blood descending till the height of his eye. He was a little banged up after a fight he had with a meta thinking he was a bigger deal than the law. His favourite kind. He looked up from his phone and sighed in rushed annoyance, which suddenly stopped. Air left his lungs as he froze. Lachlan Murray, the man who once could be called his best friend, who betrayed him on a level so personal that it took Dylan years to think of him and not be blinded by rage, was sitting on a park bench, smoking. His heart started beating a million times harder as the look on his face morphed from shock to a hardened determination. Within those few seconds, he turned into his twenty year old self, the rage feeling as fresh as if it had happened yesterday. He adjusted his coal-coloured coat as he made his way towards the man, receiving snarky comment as he would have back in the day. But Dylan was not having any of that, greeting him with an upwards swing of his arm, followed by a gust of incredible force that hit Lachlan from below. “You arsehole.” He hissed, his volume raised.
@andrcmedax
It wasn’t him. How many times had Lachlan thought he’d seen Dylan out of the corner of his eye, melting into a crowd? Enough that he was liable to be put away if he told a therapist about it, and it was never Dylan. The chances of his ex-best friend having left Ireland were minuscule, if he gave the matter serious thought. No one was better suited for a country town than Dylan Winchester, and Pansaw was entirely the opposite of that backwater vista that he grew up in. So Lachlan took another draw off of his joint, cast his eyes out at the scenery in the park while he hogged the best bench for himself. He tilted his head back against the coated steel and closed his eyes, trying to will the thought out of his head. Another minute made it clear that attempt was an abject failure, and besides, he had a perfectly decent condo he could be in right now. Sighing, he stood and rounded the bench, only to be faced with what was either his greatest fear or his greatest desire standing across the street from him. Couldn’t be a hallucination, the Dylan of his memory was slimmer and didn’t have a single wrinkle. And generally, that Dylan didn’t look like he wanted Lachlan’s head on a pike. “You’re on the wrong side of the ocean, mate.” Lachlan said, his conversational tone going flat and raspy from surprise. “Can’t imagine why.”

He chuckled to himself at Noah’s seeming eagerness. “Quite well actually,” he admitted. “Lucky and I toured one of our new facilities for our future ‘guests’. It’s just about complete. I know we’re all chomping at the bit but I don’t want us rushing and for all our hard work to be for nothing you know?” David sipped his drink before continuing. “I have had some of our runners sow some seeds of discourse though. Things that can easily be blamed on metas.”
Noah nodded in silence, his eyes fixated on the drink that was coming his way via the bartender. The gears in Noah’s head kept turning, never stopping, but you wouldn’t know by just looking at him. His face muscles were relaxed, yet his look was thunderous, frozen by the emotional trauma of his past. “I understand.” His southern accent adding melody to the short sentence. If anyone understood patience, it was Noah. His long list of revenge had been in the works for years and he knew timing was critical in every step. Noah’s face finally moved at the mention, a brow raised and his head turned towards David. “Are you sure it won’t be traceable back to us?” He had faith in the group he aligned himself with, but in a life that had taught him that he was the only one he could count on, he wasn’t able to put that much trust in someone else. “I’ve been workin’ on some gear, to protect runners from energy attacks.” He took a sip, his gaze back to the front.

Tanner got out of the shower, drying himself off quickly and wrapping the towel around his waist. He looked in the mirror and suddenly thought that thirty one really was showing his face today. He sighed and shook it off, his muscles still slightly sore from the work-out he just had before. He dried his hair and put on a simple black shirt with jeans hugged his legs tight and made his way to HQ. Ready for his annual check-up.
He walked the grand, clean halls of the massive building and made his way to the R&D floor he needed to be. It was the first time that Quinn Parker wouldn’t be doing his annual, which was weird. She was the mother of the solder serum, his creator, sort of. He knocked on the familiar door and opened it, finding Dr. Johnson-Smith. Tanner flashed her a smile. “Good morning, gorgeous. Where do you want me?”

Noah: Aquarius, Sun, 4th House
Aquarius - Tell me three character quirks.
Noah, while always seeming like a serious guy with an agenda, is a huge geek for science fiction, such as Star Wars (or whatever the equivalent is in 2045) and draws inspiration from it, which he uses in the weapons, armor and gadgets he makes for HAMER.
After each day of work, he kicks back with a beer and some popcorn.
He feels emotions really intensely, despite it looking like something hardly ever makes an impression.
Sun - Describe your character’s personality in depth.
Noah’s personality is one that’s best described as serious, focused and creative, he is very intelligent and resilient. His personality is largely formed because he was abandoned by his parents for not being a meta human. It filled with him with hate and insecurity and gave him the dreadful life of an orphan who moved around and looked after himself. His goals and ambitions are focused on bringing down the meta human race, who in his eyes, are a bunch of arrogant, dangerous people who want to take over the world and wipe out the non-meta population, even if they won’t admit it. His free time is often filled with working on gadget or old cars, as tinkering is both his most useful skill as his way to unwind. He hasn’t got a clue how to give his life meaning apart from his stand against the meta humans.
4th House - Describe your character’s family and how they influenced them.
Noah was born to two meta humans, who were incredibly disappointed when they found out that the gene skipped Noah. From the moment when they learned about that, they stopped giving him love and affection, which ultimately resulted in child abuse, such has hitting him and withholding food. Noah wasn’t an only child, he had a younger brother who was four years younger than him. He did have the meta human gene. Not long after, Noah was dumped in Texas and left to fend for his own. His family is the reason for his hatred, insecurity, abandonment issues and he pretty much blames them for everything else in his life. They died of a car crash when he was ten. His younger brother, Nick, is still alive and he plans to make him pay for their parents’s sins, eventually.

Tanner: Pallas, Capricorn, 8th House
Pallas - How does your character think? What’s their general skill when it comes to strategic intelligence?
Tanner is particularly good at anticipating the move of his opponents. His skill is mostly used in the field, but also in the war room, where he helps decide what their own next move should be.
Capricorn - Would you consider your character ambitious?
I think he used to be ambitious, wanting to rise to the top. It started when he was in med school, but then he wanted to rise within the CARMA ranks. Now that he is older, he has found comfort in the rank that he is in, doing what he excels at and appreciating more what he has and where he is in life. He sees now that rising in the ranks wouldn’t do much for him, except for giving him stress and a better title.
8th House - What’s your characters most likely cause of death?
At some point, it might’ve been an alcohol or drugs related cause of death from partying too much. Nowadays, it would most likely be an accident in the field, being killed by an unstable meta, or sacrificing himself for a civilian in the field.

For Tanner - Lilth
Lilth - What’s your character’s dark side like?
Tanner is a rare person who doesn’t quite have a dark side. Or rather, no one (including himself) is familiar with his dark side. His dark side would most likely emerge if he’d lose a loved one or if dark opponents like Nephilim took over and there was no hope to be found (although he’d be one of the last to lose hope probably). His dark side would likely him being partying like the world is going to end, caring very little for the safety of himself or others and being a selfish dick, who’d get in fights and screw people over just for kicks.

For Alessandro - Cancer
Cancer - How important is family to your character?
For Alessandro, family is the most important thing. His siblings and father are the only ones that are naturally immune to his power, making them the only safe people to interact with. Alessandro’s powers are one of the most volatile in his family, hence why he struggled with making friends and functioning in society. He lives with his sister Scarlett in Pansaw and he most likely wouldn’t alive if it weren’t for her (caught by CARMA or collateral damage of his own ability). He is constantly searching for family to accept him for who and what he is, even if he can’t. Even now, the Nephilim are his surrogate family.

jaxon-landry·:
When Noah pulled up a chair for him, Jax slid onto the seat and gave the other man a little smirk before looking at the database Noah had been working on. “Looks like we got some useful information, huh? Good,” he spoke softly before sitting back in his seat, his gaze moving from the screen to Noah again. “It’s been a long day. You wanna grab a drink? Or chill at my place? Y’know, once you’re done with all this stuff.”
Noah gave a nod, typed some more and closed the window. That was work for another day. He grabbed the glass of water and took a sip, before setting it back. “I’m done.” He replied as he decisively stood up and made his way to the door. “Let’s go to a bar. I’ve been cooped up here all day. We’ll chill at your place after.” He turned at the door, holding it open for Jaxon, offering a grin that nearly got lost in his beard.

For Noah - Mars
Mars - How does your character express their anger?
Noah prefers to use few words when he’s in a ‘normal’ emotional state. When he’s legit angry, he’s pretty much silent. His mind, however, is working overtime. Depending on what, or who, makes him angry, Noah prefers to go right to the source and take care of it. If it’s a simple disagreement, he might ignore them for a while or punch them in the face and be over with it (depending on the act/person). If there’s no target or if violence is not an option, he takes it out on a punching bag.

urielzeriah:
The transition from formless entity to a corporeal body took a moment for Uriel to fully process, his gaze falling on the man who spoke while he dealt with the onrush of sensations again. “Thank you, Alessandro. It feels good to be whole once more." While he hadn’t interacted with the young man often, he made a point to know the members of his council. "As much as I may wish it otherwise, revenge will have to wait. We must focus on rebuilding before we can start making our plans.”
Alessandro was still processing the miracle he had just witnessed. With Jaden around, magic hadn’t been unfamiliar to him, but yet somehow this seemed to have reached a new level. Alessandro was one of the newest members to be part of the council as Gluttony, yet Uriel seemed to know him. Was he finally making a name for himself then? Sandro’s face turned into a confused and slightly annoyed look. “What? No, no more waiting. We waited three years and our lives have been made a living hell. We have to do something!” In addition to be a new council member, he might’ve also been one of the more impulsive members, led by emotion and not vision.

David’s mind was a buzz with thoughts as he sat alone at the bar of his favorite dive. Plans were coming into place just as predicted and soon he would be ready to take the next step. He was lost in his ideas with just the enjoyable buzz of alcohol to keep him company until he felt a new presence beside him. Pushing away the thoughts like papers into a suitcase, David took a long sip of his rum and coke before turning to the person beside him. “What are you drinking?” he asked, preparing to order for his new companion.
@wotnastarters
Noah entered the bar. The light was dimmed and it was fairly crowded, just like Noah preferred it. There was a satisfying safety in blending in a crowd without too much effort. He took the seat next to David. “Cap’n.” He acknowledged his presence with a nod. “Whiskey on the rocks. Two fingers.” It sounded like the drink of a depressed man, but Noah was just thirsting for the drink. “How’s everything coming along?” He asked, skipping the small talk entirely.

guadalupexperez:
It had been a particularly anger-fueled day for Guadalupe. To be fair, most days were fueled by her ire. But between half of her staff at the restaurant falling ill, customers who thought she cared about their very wrong opinion of her food, and a few late deliveries - yeah, she was fired up. Once she’d closed up (a few hours late, yet another source of rage), she’d headed directly to H.A.M.E.R. headquarters to blow off some steam in the training room.
A couple of hours of sparring and practicing with her throwing knives had helped to calm her somewhat, though she was eager for nightfall to find some Meta to take out the rest of her anger on. The lounge was suspiciously quiet as she entered to grab a couple of bottles of water and make up a snack, tendrils of hair sticking to the back of her sweaty neck. Only then did she notice Noah, though it was clear he was working on something. For the most part, she knew better than to interrupt a Tinkerer at work. So she gulped down one bottle, digging through the fridge for ingredients she’d stuck in there before training. “You hungry, stud?” she asked as she realized the man had finally acknowledged her presence.
Noah could easily lose his mind in his work, as if his brain would make so much noise, it cancelled out any other sounds. He was flipping through the file on the meta whose ability he was working on. Next to it was a stack of paper, research he did on anything even remotely he connected to the power in question; weaknesses, occurrences, natural phenomena and more. In front of him was the computer that modeled his research and plans for the tech he was designing into a strategic guide. But, he had hit a bump in the road. Guadalupe offered a chance for a break and he was eager to take her up on it. “Yeah.” He was much more of a thinker than a talker, but he accompanied the word with a soft smile.
He rolled back on his chair and got up, walking over to the woman. He stretched for a moment, feeling the strain of sitting too long. There was a dampened crack in spine and he immediately felt the relief. “You been trainin’? He didn’t need to be much of an observant to spot the flush in her face and the soft glimmer of sweat.

jaxon-landry·:
Bored and in need of some entertainment, Jax’s first thought was to find Noah. The two of them had more than a little history and he knew the other male was unlikely to tell him to fuck off like a lot of others would if he decided to bug them. He’d already done his main mission for the day – luring some unsuspecting meta that no one would miss back to the lab for testing. It had been successful thanks to the winning combination of his charm and H.A.M.E.R’s gadgets, so Jax, for once, was in an incredibly chipper mood.
When he found Noah working, he didn’t really even try to be quiet, wanting to distract him from it for a little while. “Hey, big guy. What ya working on?” He asked, greeting him with a grin as Noah finally turned around to look at him. “Want some company?”
Noah spotted his... he spotted Jaxon. His former colleague and his ticket into HAMER, for which he was thankful. There were some other bits of history there, that he didn’t discuss openly with anyone, not even Jaxon himself. Then again, Noah hardly ever conversed about anything. He was a man of actions, not words. “Just updating the intel database on that meta you just caught.” He showed off a slight grin. “Sure.” He simply replied and pulled up a chair. The great thing about Jax was that he knew Noah wasn’t much of a talker and that it wasn’t a problem. They had other ways of communicating. “Take a look.”

urielzeriah:
The last thing Uriel consciously remembered was the fight three years ago, of standing atop that fateful hill, beating back the combined might of CARMA and the Rebels before they finally overwhelmed him and brought him down. Then, nothingness.
It wasn’t the nothingness of oblivion however. There was consciousness, but it was more like being half awake and half asleep at the same time. Suddenly, he felt something that he hadn’t felt in three years.
Eyes slipping closed as he inhaled deeply, Uriel let out a slow breath, the corner of his lips pulled up in a smirk. His eyes opened once more, the glow slowly fading as he looked on his council. “I… am… home.”
@mari-zeriah @xastcriiax @scarlett-valenti @andrcmedax @storiesof-mnemosyne @chaoticjett
Alessandro was all for darkness. There was little that scared him or that he found off-limits. Yet, bringing back their leader from the dead after three years, even gave him the creeps. Alessandro hadn’t interacted much with his leader. He had a certain aura of authority that was intimidating to him. Yet, with Uriel revived, the Nephilim was finally reunited. “Welcome back.” Alessandro spoke, looking over and observing the older man. He had seem some weird shit in his life, but this was something else. “We can finally get revenge.”
