Arcane criticism would be absolutely more tolerable if the "internet critics" actually said stuff that actually happened in the narrative. "Caitlyn gassed the entire city of Zaun" no she didn't. "Caitlyn murdered Zaunites" no she didn't. "Caitlyn was always evil" no she wasn't. "Caitlyn seduced Vi in the middle of a panic attack" no she didn't. "Vi fucked Caitlyn even though she knew Jinx was suicidal" Vi didn't know that, she simply thought Jinx had chosen to leave, and Vi was alone once again. Of course she sought comfort in Caitlyn. "Ekko would have hated Vi and Caitlyn for going after the chembarons" you mean like he did, for all of s1? No he wouldn't. "Caitlyn is a Geneva convention violator for using chemical welfare. She's a war criminal" you mean a real world thing that doesn't exist in the world of Arcane? Well if we're using that as a metric for good and bad in this universe, Jinx is guilty of the same thing, only Jinx used it indiscriminately, targeting the entire city of Piltover. Men, women, and children. Caitlyn used it as a strategic way to incapacitate the chembarons and put a stop to shimmer production and the related crimes surrounding it. And it was done as a more humane alternative to an all out invasion, WHICH WOULD HAVE harmed and killed Zaunites indiscriminately.
