To quote an excerpt:
The evidence has been found in a runic inscription on one of the hoard’s four elaborately decorated silver “ribbon” arm rings, which has only just been deciphered. It reads: “This is the community’s wealth [property].”
Dr Martin Goldberg, NMS’s principal curator of early medieval and Viking collections, said the discovery had been made just as the treasure had been lent to Adelaide in Australia, its first international tour: “We’re spreading the wealth. Everybody owns a bit of this hoard – just like the inscription says.”
He added: “The idea that the wealth this hoard represents would be communally held is fascinating.”
Allow me to repeat the inscription:
“This is the community’s wealth.”

Okay. So. The casual antisemitism in Ahsoka, since y'all asked. Spoilers below:
Casting Peter Jacobson, best known for playing Dr. Chris Taub (a Jewish doctor) on House, Ezra Goldman (a Jewish lawyer!) on Ray Donovan, and a rabbi in Fear the Walking Dead, as Myn Weaver, an Imperial sellout, is bad enough.
It's bad enough when he says "I'm a businessman. My loyalty is to my investors."
But then we have this exchange when he and his cohort are caught:
Hera: How can they still be loyal to the empire? [The camera cuts to an extended cut of Myn Weaver being loaded onto a ship in handcuffs. He looks aside and back at Ahsoka and Hera, shifty/guilty.] Ahsoka: It's not loyalty. It's greed.
Did you catch that? They cast a Jewish actor who is pretty much only ever cast to play Jews, and attributed his betrayal of the New Republic not to misplaced loyalty, but to greed.
Nice, right? Very cool.

Yeah I saw the lovecraftian horrors and didn’t succumb to madness. What- no I’m not a cultist, James. For Christ’s sake. What you’re forgetting my friend is that HP Lovecraft wasn’t a flexible man. His brain simply wasn’t stretchy enough to take it all in. I however, have short term memory issues. Flexibility is the name of the game when you can’t remember if you ate lunch or not. What’s the size of the universe? Big. You knew that already, James. Come on now. You don’t need to witness the terrifying ocean at the base of the entirety of reality itself to know that. Pass the brandy.

I hate how people will look at popular indie artists who had one or two songs go viral on TikTok and start making fun of anybody who listens to them. "Oh you listen to Lemon Demon, Will Wood, Jack Stauber, Glass Animals, and Mother Mother? Tsk, don't you know that is stupid TikTok neurodivergent white transmasc preteen music? It's so mid and bad you should listen to real music–" you are a pit of misery

Political power in medieval Germany was always split between, on the one hand, the few major families whose power could rival or at least threaten the Holy Roman Emperor, and on the other hand, a collection of independent towns and smallholders. The balance of power was, one could say, between five guys, burghers, and freis.
