Some other ones, not writing-related, just some things I've noticed:
That feeling when talking or writing, like there's a word or phrase you're looking for at the tip of your tongue. But after you rack your brain for it, you realize the word you're looking for only exists in the other language, not the one you're currently using.
Bilingual people tend to sound like their first language when saying exclamations - words like "umm, ow, huh, eh, ah" etc, expecially when they're caught by surprise.
Words that are spelled the same but pronounced differently can be confusing. Like the word "plus" is pronounced differently in German and English, and I used the English pronounciation in a conversation once without even realizing it.
People from different countries may write the numbers 1-9 slightly differently.
German computer keyboards are different than ones produced in the US.
When asked to jot some stuff down quickly and at short notice, bilingual people will often take notes or type on their phone in their primary language, even when the info is given to them in another language.
Hearing a bilingual friend speak another language that you also understand is a strange sensation. They will feel like they've transformed into a different person. Their whole vibe shifts, or the tone and cadence of their voice is suddenly different.
Bilingual people will probably have a dictionary app on their phone, and a machine translation website saved in their browser shortcuts, especially if they're currently studying their second language.
People that often have to write in Chinese will have a tiny little tab either floating on their computer sceen, or as an icon in the taskbar. That's an input software, and you can't type Chinese characters without one.
Different languages have different sentence structures. They also have different "paragraph structures", how an idea is conveyed through multiple sentences. Sometimes bilingual people will speak or write one language with another language's structure. It's subtle but it's there.
im going to have a stroke

Welcome to the finals of the Unofficial Top AO3 Relationships Bracket!
Many people on Tumblr might have engaged in the practice of "shipping" in relation to "media". Some, according to legend, even have opinions on these matters.
If the above happens to apply to you, you might be eligible to vote in this bracket! We have pitted the most popular pairings on archiveofourown.org against each other to see who will emerge victorious. Final polls drop on Thursday October 12th at 3PM CST, and will run for a full week.
Check current vote counts here!
Further information is below the cut!
How was the bracket made?
This bracket was made based off centreoftheselights's data on the most-written pairings of all time, and edited to fit into a workable bracket. Matchups were seeded according to number of works.
This is a platonic/familial relationship, not a ship! Why is it on a ship bracket?
The top relationships on AO3 include both platonic and romantic/sexual relationships; so does this bracket. If the relationship is formatted as "[Character X] & [Character Y]" it is not a romantic pairing. If it is formatted as "[Character X]/[Character Y]" it is. (For efficiency, when a pairing showed up as both & and / in the data, only the higher-ranked version was chosen.)
What are your stances on voter fraud, etc.?
Fight for your blorbos however your honor dictates (though we ask that you don't DDOS Tumblr, and preferably do not commit any murders which can be traced back to us).
I have an issue with [x] being included in this poll.
This poll is a celebration of fandom history; we're aware that there are certain issues with many of the listed pairings and sources, but they are a part of that history. Please do not take this as an endorsement of anything included in the bracket, and refrain from harassment.
In general, please remember that this is intended to be a fun time for the wide community which is fandom culture, and treat each other with respect!
Bracket Schedule!

One of reasons I love Scully so much is bc how unapologetic she is about being jealous and having daddy issues. It never makes her a less strong or independent female character.
Female characters like that are so rare now. Nowadays so many female characters are portrayed as just plain rude and arrogant because writers (and audiences) think that's synonymous with Strong庐 and Independent庐, and as soon as they show even a trace of a personal flaw, immediately the narrative has to show their tragic backstory or something

it's so hard making a favorite episode list, I tried but couldn't, because there are like 5 eps I want to put in #1, 8 eps I want to put in my top 5, and 20 episodes I want to put into top 10

great list, very well written episode descriptions, I agree with 90%
here are some of my faves that aren't on the list: Arcadia (i'd put in top 5), Dreamland, Musings of CSM, X-cops (I just love how Scully tries to steer Mulder away from the camera in that scene), Rain King

CSM: why couldn't the alien park his ufo
Mulder: I don't know, why
CSM: because he couldn't find a SPACE馃槈
Mulder: that is such a lame dad joke
CSM: it's funny you should mention that

In my opinion csm shouldn't have given up on writing just because his first published story got rewritten and the magazine wasn't the fucking Newyorker.
It's hard enough to get anything published, one story is just a start.
He should have kept writing, instead of instantly being like Man the world Fucking Sucks, my life has no meaning, back to conspiracies and manipulation and chainsmoking I guess
I think it's kind of funny that all CSM does in season 1 is stand around in the background smoking his cigarettes and looking mysterious, like I don't even think he has any lines and Mulder and Scully don't have the slightest idea who he is at this point, as far as they know he's just some random dude who's blatantly eavesdropping on all their meetings with Blevins and Skinner but he's not an assistant director or a deputy director or any kind of superior that they know about, he just looks vaguely important but for all they know he's somebody's visiting cousin or the janitor or another screenwriter or novelist getting an inside look at the FBI for his latest work
