T'is a little presentation about this blog

A bit about me:

I go by 'Ace'

I'm in my twenties

English is not my first language (if you see any mistake, please let me know)

I am bi and under the aro/ace umbrella

I'm still figuring out my gender but I'm most comfortable with he/him pronouns, sometimes he/they

I'm a literary student

I aspire to be a writer and screenwriter, and also own a bookshop someday

This is a sideblog, so I won't be able to like anything or follow anyone (because I like to have the different parts of my life stored in their different little boxes), but I'll reblog and reply <3

A bit about my projects:

The main story i'm working on (or trying to, hence this blog) is a fantasy trilogy

I'm also daydreaming about an art thief and his shenanigans with the forces of law and order

And a sci-fi screenplay (that used to be destined to be a book, but not anymore)

And a bit of fanfiction here and there

A bit about the content of this blog:

I apologise in advance, this blog will be pretty vague.

I know that social media and copyright/intellectual property don't really get along, especially since AI has become so accessible and easy to use. If you're here, I'm sure you know it too. Or you should, because it's very important. Anyway.

I think I'll be posting mostly aesthetic stuff, but nothing really relevant to the plot or the worldbuilding of any of my stories.

Also, maybe, if you have anything you'd like to say or any advice you'd like to share, please do! I'd be happy to read about it, and I'm sure others will too.

Little PSA though: I'm stuggling with mental health (also a reason as to why I stuggle to write lol), so I may log in irregularly. I'm sorry.

Hello! I am Ace!

I'm supposed to be a writer, but lately the inspiration and motivation have been somewhat... non-existent.

I realised recently that what made me write was in fact writing for other people. I'm hoping that, through this blog, someone will take an interest in my story and I will feel motivated again - or if no one reads this, that the illusion of writing for someone will be enough.

For years, in secret, I've been developing my universe, my characters, the themes I want to approach and the ideas I want to share though this story. But what good can come out of it if it's just sitting there in a corner of my mind? Absolutely none. Maybe it's time to see if it resonates with someone else.

The thing is, I'm a coward. I'm terrified of being perceived, and of my work being perceived. Apparently it's a thing for other people too - it even has a name that I unfortunately forgot. But maybe if I'm brave enough to share a part of me, it will inspire others who struggle to do so, and well... the more the merrier. May this planet be filled with authors and unique stories so that we may read for ever and ever.
