Just to add another option: in UK English, bonbons are an old-fashioned, chewy, fruit-flavoured sweet often coated in powdered sugar. (And praline refers specifically to hazelnut paste in chocolate.)

The texture is about the same as a Starburst - hard enough to keep it's shape but chewy with some resistance.

What is a bonbon?

I was listening to an american podcast and they were talking about bonbons being chocolates which - as a german - confused me, so I decided to look it up.

Apparently the word bonbon in english means what we call Praline??? Huh????

So now I am asking once more: Tumblr what is a bonbon to you?

the first rule of writing is that there are no rules. the second rule is to save your work every 5 minutes because technology is a fickle god.

I don't even do outlines anymore, but this still happens. Planning means nothing; never has.

being a writer is wild

like there are some days where all the words click into place and the sentences flow like silk and then there are other days where your plot is undergoing radioactive decay and you're about to punch through your laptop screen in frustration

screaming, crying, throwing up, as I force myself to write a story i'm very passionate about and love writing and have no obligation to write except that i want to

Just write the thing. for 5 minutes. If there's more than 5 minutes of work, great. If not, you had the 5 minutes

there are two types of writers: the ones who say, “i’m almost done, just one last tweak,” and the ones who say, “i’m done, maybe, not sure, wait, scrap everything.”
