SUBMISSION FORMAT

Writings:  

The story must have at least 2.000 words and at most 15.000 words;

The story must be unpublished, which means that the story must be written for this collection. Stories that have been published somewhere else before will not be accepted;

The story must be a one-shot - if you want to give it a sequel later, that’s okay but for the collection, do the story in a way that can be read as a stand-alone work.

The story doc must contain a header with title, brief summary and, if necessary, warnings. Example:

Title: Help Me

Summary: After suffering a terrible accident, Arthur is going to need the help of his husband to put his life back together.

Warnings: Traffic accident description, sexual intercourse, bad language

Drawings:

You need to put your pen-name somewhere in your art. It can be in the board or it can be just inserted somewhere in the drawing itself like a signature.

Your work doesn’t need to be in color;

The drawing must have a title and a brief description of what it is portraying.

If the drawing has a story behind it that you feel is important to share, feel free to put it on the drawing itself.

Attach a board with these informations at the bottom of the drawing. Please check the previous event to have an idea of how the board can be.

GENERAL RULES

Rule number 01: All stories must necessarily have Alfred and Arthur as the main couple.

Rule number 02: This is a collection for people who support them as a COUPLE, therefore stories in which they are brothers or just friends/acquaintances (with no romantic and/or sexual interest from any of the parties) will not be accepted. Other than that, they can have any kind of dynamic you want.

What is allowed:

Arthur and Alfred have had something romantic/sexual in the past, but are no longer together;

Unrequited love;

They have secret feelings for each other;

Although they begin only as friends/acquaintances/strangers, their relationship moves towards a romantic/sexual direction throughout the narrative;

They COULD have fallen in love if it were not for X circumstances that causes them to, noticeably, try to ignore their own feelings;

When the story begins, they are already dating, getting married, living together for 40 years and so on.

What is not allowed:

Alfred and Arthur are two people who know each other and well, that’s it;

Alfred and Arthur are good friends that stay friends and only friends

Alfred and Arthur are brothers.

* It is worth to mention that polyamorous relationships that USUKUS is a part of are also accepted in this collection.

Rule number 03: No apologies to rape, pedophilia, racism, transphobia or anything of the kind. This means that fics or fanarts with “lolis” or “shotas” are definitely, definitely cut from this collection.

Rule number 04: Adult and dark themes can be addressed as long as they do not violate rule number 03 and the necessary warnings are made.

Erotic stories will be accepted, but it is required they have a warning in its header.

Erotic drawings will also be accepted, however they will be displayed at the end of the collection and after a warning.

Rule number 05: If a work evades the collection’s theme, it will not be accepted.

Rule number 06: Fanfics need to conform minimally to the normative grammar to be accepted and we recommend that insecure authors look for a beta reader. Your work doesn’t have to be flawless in grammatical aspects, but it needs to be understandable and not have major mistakes.

Rule number 07: Your story or fanart, in full version, can’t be posted in any other place before the collection is released. However, fragments, drafts, and unfinished versions can be shared at any time.

Rule number 08: You can’t put in the collection works that were already published somewhere. You will have to submit something new.

EVENT-SPECIFIC RULES

At least one of your main characters must be recovering from something during MOST of your story. The story may start with them doing fine but remember that the focus must be in the recovery process they will experience due to some event.  

In the end, they don’t need to be in a perfect situation but there’s MUST be some progress from the point they were when the incident happened. This collection is about HOPE.

Examples of things they could be recovering from: The lose of a member of the family, a divorce, an accident, an abusive relationship, an addiction, a mental illness, any illness really.

Always be respectful about the topics you’re going to use in your work and try to do your research on it.

WIP - Going Away On Holiday 

This is supposed to be England sarcastically listing off the “fantastic” features of their very outdated bed and breakfast they’re staying at for the weekend while waiting for their train and America playing along oohing and awwing. But I got a bit in perfectionist mode and drained my energy cleaning up the piece and not working on a background. I don’t know when I’ll come back to this piece so I thought to post what I had done

Nurse On The Line: Again? Mr. America This is the 5th time this hour.

Last night was reading fluffy tropey fanfiction and one of the characters got shot and there was a cute recovery scene. And all I kept thinking about was this so wouldn’t work for usuk and that’s how we got here. Also while drawing I thought alternate shorter ending which goes like this:

UK: Some wear hospital gowns and  pay an exorbitant amount in medical bills because free health care is for socialists  

USA: You think I’m a hero!?!!

UK: America please focus you’re missing the whole roast.

I saw this LIFE photo and liked the idea for my public au of a LIFE photographer snapping this pic of America and England on the train just thinking they were just random riders. Never knowing they are personifications. It’s only after there outted, that it gets any real recognition and is praise because before their identities where blown most photos of personifications are classified and few in number.

For years I’ve wanted to draw America as a broadway backup dancer in the from the 1930s or 40s and I while I was trying to figure out what pose America should be in. I somehow got this silly pose and all I can think about is America belting Whitney Houston’s ‘I just want to dance with somebody’ a very non 1930/40′s song and I wanted to share :)

17th century headcanons: arthur elected to wear a mop on his head, and the uncanny vibe nations give off to humans often wasn’t interpreted so…charitably in colonial america. (sorcery!)

I’ve just discovered my new favorite painter, Vittorio Reggianini - those smarter than myself probably already know of him as an Italian painter from the 1800s who made satin look even satiny-er than satin. I just cannot get over how much he loved painting women who were NOT. HAVING. A. MAN’S. SHIT. 

But there was one hottie that everyone seemed to like, and I can’t blame them…

Vittorio knows what the ladies like.
