Different shapes of gemstones and their meanings.
Each crystal or gemstone can be found in many different shapes, but actually each one has specific properties. Here are some of them:
Tumbled Stones
This stones are the ones whose shape has been smoothed or polished from their raw form. Ideal for meditation, affirmations and altar work. This shape evens and gentle energy.
Abundance stones
This is basically an elongated crystal with clustered, smaller crystals around it. This is perfect for wealth and abundance, hence it’s name. Useful, for example, to use in business.
Natural point stones
Not necessary a wand-like crystal, they’re any part of a faceted crystal with a point that has formed naturally and not precisely perfected. This are useful to draw energy from a body or to the body. Perfect for cleansing and healing.
Generator stones
A Generator will have six facets (of equal or unequal proportions) that meet into one point. It gets its name for its ability to generate amplified energy, boosting the power of other stones, or the stone it is made of. This type of formation is also very powerful for charging other stones.
Geode
Geodes have the ability to hold energy within and soften it, allowing it to naturally flow out and disperse evenly. These formations are great for protection or for assisting with healing abusive habits such as alcoholism and abusive internal monologues.
Raw stones
Raw stones are in their natural form and have not been smoothed, polished or altered. Also they’re often considered as more fragile than it’s relatives. They are great for all spiritual work.
Pyramid stones
This refers to four equal triangle faces and a square base. This is pretty often used in healing, it’s useful for warding off negative energy and also removing blocks from the chakra system. Also good for affirmations and manifestation work.
Spheres
These powerful formations are great for scrying. As it’s form is smooth from every possible angle, is believed that light, energy and time pass through it with no rules or hindrances, hence their scrying abilities.
Cubes
Perfect for grounding energies and intentions, believed that energy is contained and enhanced in this stone shape. Transmutes negative to positive energy, perfect for mindfulness and concentration.

The Huld Manuscript
Also known as the ‘Dark Manuscript’, this book of Icelandic magical staves, sigils and charms was written and collected in 1847 by Geir Vigfússyni á Akureyri from three other manuscripts.
Of the three manuscripts used in compiling the Huld manuscript we know that one of them was written in Seltjarnarnesi of 1810.
The full manuscript can be found here

Lásabrjótur (Icelandic Magical Staves)
Known as the “Lockbreaker”, this stave can be used to open locks. You must begin by drawing the sigil onto paper, then you must place the paper onto the lock and breathe on it until the water vapour from your breath dampens the paper enough so that it sticks. Finally, to activate the magical stave, you must recite the following chant:
“Tröll öll taki í mellu, taki í djöfull svo braki.” “May all trolls take the bolt, pull so that the devil will squeak.”

How to Predict Timing with Tarot
When performing a Celtic Cross, there are three cards that can reveal when the event will happen: the advice, the outcome, and the card at the bottom of the deck. While your intuition will tell you which is most likely, it is best to acknowledge all three possibilities.
THE MAJOR ARCANA
The Fool – Whenever you are ready
The Magician – It has already begun
The High Priestess – You know exactly when
The Empress – During harvest season
The Emperor – It is almost done
The Hierophant – It is finished
The Lovers – As soon as you make the choice
The Chariot – In just a few moments
Strength – The minute you accept it
The Hermit – Only after you meditate on it
The Wheel of Fortune – During your first or next Saturn return
Justice – When you least expect it
The Hanged Man – When the circumstances change
Death – Whenever it is ready
Temperance – After the storm
The Devil – It is happening right now
The Tower – Soon, unexpectedly and suddenly
The Star – The more you believe, the sooner it will happen
The Moon – It cannot be determined at the moment
The Sun – In the summer or by sunrise
Judgement – Soon and inevitably
The World – In divine timing
THE MINOR ARCANA
THE SUIT OF WANDS
Ace of Wands – One day
Two of Wands – Two days
Three of Wands – Three days
Four of Wands – Four days
Five of Wands – Five days
Six of Wands – Six days
Seven of Wands – Seven days
Eight of Wands – Eight days
Nine of Wands – Nine days
Ten of Wands – Ten days
Page of Wands – As we speak
Knight of Wands – End of November to most of December
Queen of Wands – End of March to most of April
King of Wands – End of July to most of August

Bind Runes: A How-To
Yo gais, I’ve gotten several requests from people to create a tutorial on how I do bind runes. Keep in mind that everyone creates a unique set of rules and methods for creating these so you don’t have to follow this to the tee!
First: CHOOSE AN INTENT The biggest thing is to know what you want this bind rune to be for. Do you want a bind rune for strength or for creativity? You’ll use different runes for different intents, so make sure you know what you want from it.
Second: CHOOSE RUNES THAT MATCH YOUR INTENT Now that you know your intent, choose runes that match! I like to use sets of 3, but if you feel two or even four or more runes would be better suited to your task go ahead! Runes can also be mirrored to reverse the meaning, for instance you can mirror Haglaz to include in a protection rune as something like “calm weather.” If you are new to runes, I have a post here that has my personal associations! For the purpose of this tutorial I’ll make a rune for protection. We can always use protection runes.
The runes I’ve chosen are: Agliz for Protection Ingwaz for Safety Sowilo for Good Health
Third: COMBINE THE RUNES This stage is where you get to be creative. Overlay the runes, one on top of the other, to create the bind rune. Try out different lay outs, pick ones that are aesthetically pleasing to you. In this stage we also make sure that we’re not creating any other runes that would result in mixed energies. (For instance, we wouldn’t want a reversed Wunjo in a protection rune.)
These are examples of bind runes that you can get from just those three runes I showed you eariler!
Fourth: MAKE LAST ADJUSTMENTS Here’s where you choose your final design(s), and make sure there’s no more changes to be made. This is the easiest step in my opinion, just final adjustments!
Last Step: CLEAN IT UP AND USE IT I like to clean my designs up using a digital program. SAI or Photoshop are personal favourites of mine. After that, all that’s left is to use it! Sometimes you can carve it into a piece of wood and use sangomancy(blood magic) to charge it and make sure the energies are directed towards you, or you can just draw it on your wrist as needed, or create a charm from it! The uses are endless, much like sigils. So go make bind runes, and have fun!
