Toulouse was full of beautiful alleys and so many cool shops and cafés. I loved the colours and the whole vibe de la Ville Rose.

the last couple of days have consisted of lots of notes and even more coffee; i went to a book sale yesterday and failed at having any sort of self control, grabbing some of my favorite books as a kid and every copy of a $2 arden shakespeare i could find

This week has been a good week for campus events. I went to see Sophie Collins, Miriam Nash and Eva Salzman read their poems at an event hosted by the Goldsmiths Writers’ Centre and Poetry London which was really inspiring. I’ve been looking forward to hearing Sophie Collins read since last year. I also went to a great talk at the GLITS, on cockles and question marks in Ulysses (Dr. Sophie Corser). There was a cancellation for next week so I put myself forward to present a paper. I will be speaking on the transideological power of irony in postmodern literature and art. I have been feeling stagnant academically so––even though I’m terrified––this is a welcome opportunity to get back into things.
