Every single piece of dialogue and voice acting is intact but I did trim a bit of empty footage, exact details under the cut

- Trimmed title sequences (and the person playing turning on auto) unless it cut off voice lines or dialogue. Which it did in most cases in the main story so you’ll really only see cuts on the intermissions.

- Cut down some unusually long pauses between dialogue progression in the scenes without music (It makes things sound weird in the scenes with it. Which is most of them unfortunately)

- Cut out the repeated lines from any parts that begin with the ending lines of the part prior since they aren’t really necessary for context when watching everything back to back

I definitely missed a couple instances of all of the above but I am NOT going back to edit this again lmao

what better way to celebrate itsumi fic's first birthday than to write a short epilogue? link here, various thoughts as always under the cut for when you're done reading and want to see into my mind. thank you as always to spade for beta-reading and such

first for more practical matters, if you could call it that. the vision for future yachiyo (the look, paris fashion school, etc.) is all spade's. none of it's mine. the outfit yachiyo's described wearing is based on Izumi Sena Casual (Autumn-Winter) Outfit. spade has many thoughts on what pinkie is up to in paris, but that's its story to tell.

i dropped in some hints that victoria is being a shitty boss/aunt because i thought it would be funny. she's a pretty benevolent figure in stage woman, but i can't really think of her as very benevolent now that we know what we know about shiro and stella. the cousins kiyohide mentions asking him for help with soundcloud stuff are stella and rikuo, dima and i's yachiyo's cousin oc. they are from the tsuruhime side of the family. they are silly, doesn't gaf about the inevitable downfall of house tsuruhime that they're destined to lead by birthright, and make really bad music. aunt hishiki isn't a blood aunt, more aunt in the family friend sense. she's the lead of rinmeikan 1995 (aka the one itsumi wrote for), as well as itsumi's high school ex-girlfriend who she's still very close with. she dropped yachiyo as a baby and she helped yachiyo with the buzzcut as an adult.

the diary thing. this one's based entirely in canon. it's a combination of the diary being addressed to siegfeld's board of directors and yachiyo's mother being on the board of directors, as fool intermission shows. i copy-pasted a bunch into the fic, but if you want to reread some of yachiyo's diary entries, some notable ones i can think of are her entries from the hospital event and from the valentine's day event. you can also look at this wonderful art dima did if you want to feel deeply sad. every time i read those diary entries, it kills me how much she seems to want to tell her mother about her life while having such an adverse reaction to her mother in arcana arcadia stories. and hopefully, this can haunt you too now.

okay, now for more personal reflections on all this.

itsumi fic remains the biggest thing i've written, both in word length and emotional labor. as restless as it makes me feel that i haven't surpassed that yet (guy who wanted to go to a university known for how much work it gives you spent the academic year suffering from having to do work), i'm proud of how much people seem to like it and how much it's kickstarted. there is now an ocverse of about twelve characters strong all tied to itsumi in some way. it consumes the minds of those who participate in it, including me. i've talked about it elsewhere but i never imagined i could write something that people would care much about, let alone make people cry. so thank you to everyone who's read itsumi fic. and once again, happy birthday itsumi fic.
