*gripping my hands so hard on a young trans persons shoulders that their bones are about to break*
do not log on to 4chan.com. do not get involved in passing olympics. you will always lose. do not put afab/amab/tma/tme in your bio, that is cisgender society trying to know your real” gender. you do not exist to please cisgender people. there is no ‘right’ way to be trans. learn your goddamn history, listen to your elders. listen to other disenfranchised groups. listen to intersex people and check yourself for intersexism. listen to trans poc and check yourself for racism. listen to disabled people and check yourself for ableism. be open to learning always. labels are meant to fit you, not the other way around. you are not weird or predatory for simply being attracted to others. you’re fine if you’re not a skinny white twink or a barbie doll. you’re fine if your body is ‘weird’. you’re fine if you don’t have heavy or any dysphoria. it’s okay if you actually don’t want to transition or anything like that. life is worth living at any stage, you deserve to be happy. I SWEAR THAT YOU ARE OKAY!!!!!

The terms afab and amab are very much about the social construct aspect of gender, as in, they refer specifically to the letter on your birth certificate that was assigned to you, not any trait you innately possess. Yet I routinely hear people using these terms as a euphemism for biological aspects of sex, because I guess they think it sounds more progressive or something.
"afab tweens get very emotional at this age due to hormones," "archeologists think this skeleton belonged to an amab individual due to hip measurements," stuff like that. I keep waiting for someone refer to a wild animal as afab or amab.
"afab" is not synonymous with "has a uterus" or "has two X chromosomes," intersex people with XY chromosomes can have an F on their birth certificate.
If you're talking about something biological it's fine to just say "male" or "female" in contexts where that makes more sense.

You can make any straight guy's love song better by imagining the singer as a lesbian with a beautiful deep voice. It works every time.

I think if you're a white trans woman and you're citing statistics about trans women being murdered to prove our oppression, you really need to bring up that the vast majority of murdered trans women in America are black. I think if you leave that detail out you are kind of doing the exact same thing as the people you're arguing with.
If you don't think about those stats and what they mean, you need to fix that.

i need you all to realize that man hating & antimasculism disproportionally affects trans women & transfemmes.
not always, but much of the time, before trans women and femmes figure out their gender, they will likely be identifying as cis men before exposure to queer community and terminology. like i really don't get why people understand that in all likelihood, the trans woman that came out 40 years ago identified as a cis man before realizing they were a trans woman. like i hate to break it to people, but a lot of trans girls identified as a cis man at one point in their life.
this hurts trans women and transfemmes who are closeted or trying to come out. this creates a space where trans women and femmes who haven't come out yet don't feel safe to. this creates a space where masculine and butch trans women feel unwelcome and like they will be misgendered and treated like men. this means that a lot of trans women and femmes either stay in the closet/never come out, or struggle to find community, because we feel alienated by the fact that our gender assigned at birth is somehow a problem for everyone else.
this also affects trans women and femmes who don't/can't pass, don't/can't take hormones, don't want to socially transition, and so on. this also REALLY hurts trans women who are bi/multigender and still identify as a cis man on some level. this hurts intersex trans women. this hurts trans women who still consider themselves gay men. this hurts two spirit trans women. this hurts nonbinary trans women. this hurts butch trans women. this hurts so many more trans women & femmes than you realize.
like idk maybe it's because the people behaving this way aren't trans women, but i don't know why it's hard to grasp this. most trans people identify as cis before we realize we're trans. it's how we're conditioned. many of us are not aware that you can even BE trans until we meet other trans people. stop chasing away the questioning tgirls who aren't sure yet. stop chasing away transfem eggs who need exposure to other transfems. stop chasing away multigender trans women who identify as cis men as well.
some women used to be men. don't shame them for that. some women are also men at the same time. don't shame them for that.
stop this behavior. it affects all queers, but it hurts trans women way more than you realize.

Nosferatu fan art from last year from my Patreon.
I watched the new one and I must say it was quite fun despite the bit of downtime before Act 3. I loved the reinterpretation they made for the characters compared to the original as well as some aspects of the story + designs that made it closer to a true representation of Dracula. The fact that they kept Count Orlok hidden most of the time helped with the mystery and horror of the character.
Without spoilers, all I can say to my fellow ghouls is to not skip leg day 💀
