|| Playing With Their Hair ||
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Request: "Hello! How would Sebastian, Ominis, Garreth and/or Amit react to gn!MC "secretly" playing with the boys' hair while they're taking a nap? Thank you! - Anon "
Pairings: Ominis Gaunt x GN!Reader, Amit Thakkar x GN!Reader, Garreth Weasley x GN!Reader, Sebastian Sallow x GN!Reader
Warnings: None
a/n: went a little long for Sebastian- oops
Tumblr media
>> Garreth Weasley <<
It had been a long and exhausting day to say the least, each class was currently going through everything they learned through the year to prepare the students for their upcoming O.W.Ls. The review had finally pooped out the poor ginger, who simply walked and plopped himself down in one of the couches in the common room. Not even putting in the effort to ever get to his dorm room.
He had been peacefully resting his eyes, the depth of sleep barely grabbing hold of him before he felt a ticklish touch against his head. A soothing pressure ran through his scalp which sent a pleasant shiver down his spine.
“Are you playing with Garreth’s hair?”
The voice of Natty caught his attention, keeping his eyes firmly shut so he could hear the conversation. “Shhh, you’ll wake him.” the sweet voice of his beloved sounded just above him, causing a small smile to form on his lips. But he quickly caught himself before he could be caught for actually being awake, allowing for the fingers that played with his locks to keep at their pampering of his tired little head.
>> Ominis Gaunt <<
It was a late studying session that Sebastian managed to drag the both of you to, having all three of you sneak into the Library pass opening hours, pajamas and slippers still on as the three of you crammed through every possible subject. Not surprising though, Sebastian was the first to pass out on the table, however, not soon after Ominis felt his own eyelids start to weigh down.
“Are you falling asleep too Ominis?”
“Hmm?”
The young slytherin couldn’t even process the question as he laid his head against his arms for a moment. Just letting the heavenly feeling of his eyes not burning for a night's rest settle in his nerves. A couple minutes pass and Ominis just lets the sound of pen on parchment to sooth his senses, enjoying the smell of your ink as you keep on working despite both slytherin boys having dragged you out of bed to start with. Yet, as he felt his senses dwindle into rest, he felt the familiar feeling of your gentle fingers scratching gently at the back of his head.
If he were a cat he was sure he would be purring right about now as you twirled a strand of his hair around your finger, lulling deeper into the comforting darkness that was sleep. A pleased smile formed on his lips.
>> Amit Thakkar <<
It was your idea to go out late at night for a date, thinking that Amit would love to be able to just lay back and talk about every star and constellation there was to know about. His love for all knowledge, especially about what might lie beyond this earth always caused a smile to rise out of you. Besides you knew he loved being able to share his interests with you, made him feel almost validated that you truly cared for him if you were willing to put up with his nerdiness.
Yet, you perhaps should have considered how late it was because just thirty minutes in, Amit’s head was resting on your shoulder, soft snores leaving his lips as his hair tickled your cheek.
Resting your head against his, you brought your fingers up to move a strand of hair off his face, causing the Ravenclaw to scrunch up his nose at the ticklish sensation. Without much thought, you started to move your fingers through each strand of hair that might have been misplaced, oftentimes just running your fingers through his black locks, enjoying how soft they felt against your skin. You were enjoying yourself so much that no one did you stop to notice that his light snoring had stopped, a deep blush now evident in his cheeks as he bit down a smile, eyes still remaining firmly shut.
>> Sebastian Sallow<<
Detention was perhaps the last place you wanted to be in, but Sebastian wouldn’t have had it any other way. In retrospect, he did try to take the fall this time like all the other previous times but that annoying poltergeist was quicker than he was and managed to catch the both of you out of bed after hours. Now here you were, in the charms class that was temporarily being used as the detention hall, Professor Ronen out of sight due to some kids running down the hall.
“This sucks..”
You muttered, throwing a piece of enchanted rolled up parchment across the room only for it to fly back towards you. “Oh come on, what’s better than spending the evening with your charming good looking boyfriend?”
“Not being in detention.”
You snapped back, making him roll his eyes and pinch your cheek. “You love me.” he teased, causing you to huff in annoyance, hoping that the slytherin couldn’t see your ongrowing blush. Sebastian, ever the observant one did notice it but figured he shouldn’t get under your skin too much so he opted to just place his legs up against the bench seat and rest his head on your lap, hoping to catch some shut eye before Ronen comes back.
You had simply let him, knowing he would be throwing a whining fit if you didn’t let him do as he pleased in the moment. A good half hour passed, just another half to go before you can be let out for the day. You finished all your work so really that left you with nothing to do but sit there while Sallow napped away on your lap. Looking down at him, you couldn’t help but admire how soft his hair looked. Tempted by how welcoming it looked, you dragged your hand from where it rested on his chest and started to gently comb through his locks with your fingers. Huh, surprisingly silky.
“Are you petting me?”
A smirk spread through his features, but his eyes remained shut. His voice startled you a bit, causing you to retract your fingers from his hair only for him to grab your wrist and lead your hand back to where they were.
“No, no, I didn’t say stop.” He pouted, letting out a satisfied sigh once you went back to pampering him.

What if they had kept romance in the game?
I've seen a few posts of scraped game files with a friendship weighting system and one of the options is a romance. And it really does seem like Sebastian was meant to be a character who could have had a romance option.
If the romanceable characters were also your companions they could've had different dialogue whilst exploring.
Sebastian:
I love it when you use fiery magic. Sends a shiver down my spine.
Be careful of the spiders, sweetheart. Their fangs are lethal.
Ominis:
Mind your step, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself in these treacherous waters.
It is nice to spend time together outside of the castle.
Garreth:
Look at that sunshine, I wish we could stop for a picnic.
Do you think we can gather some ingredients here, darling?

Cleansing Release
Anon: You could do one where MC is cleaning absolutely everything possible in sight, but MC is just very sexually ‘pent up’….so Ominis and Sebastian decide to help MC release that frustration in the undercroft… At the end asking if they still feel like cleaning xD //Shortened the ask a tiny bit for posting purposes. Absolutely loved the idea! I haven’t written smut in quite some time, and I’ve never written a throuple before, so hopefully it came out all right!
**Written in “F! Y/N” format since I started this before the poll was finished
All chars aged up!
Ominis x MC x Sebastian | NSFT - Explicit | 2932 words | AO3
Ivy goes on a cleaning frenzy that baffles and concerns Ominis and Sebastian. After digging into possible causes and coming up short, the two approach Ivy directly.
Tumblr media
It began in the Room of Requirement. Deek mentioned it in passing to Sebastian, that Y/N had been spending even more time than usual there, and not for her beasts or plants or potions, but simply cleaning. Any bit of mud or sand tracked in from the vivariums, wiped away before Deek could even gather his cleaning supplies. Loose potting soil - swept back into the sacks. Dust in even the high corners of the room - never given the chance to fall and catch in the light.
Then Ominis noticed a new scent in the Undercroft. The area untouched by house elves for generations, even with his family having used it for their own deeds, it was never given a proper cleaning. The remnants of time and students passed had long since gathered in every crevice, giving the area a slightly stale smell. And while that scent still wound its way through the air and stone, it was now accompanied by a faint smell of herbs and mint; the same smell that carried through Y/N’s room, the soap she preferred when cleaning her own space.
The smell started appearing in Ominis and Sebastian’s room as well one day. And their beds were made with pristine creases and pillows fluffed perfectly; the house elves were meticulous, but this was an entirely different level of care. Sebastian’s clothes were suddenly folded; fitting far better in his dresser than before when he merely shoved them in the drawers. And Ominis’s books, both enchanted and in braille, were sorted by subject and alphabetized. Their room had never been in such a condition.
“I’m beginning to grow concerned for Y/N,” Ominis said to Sebastian.
“The obsessive cleaning?” Sebastian replied.
“Precisely.”

Are your requests still open? I’d love a part two to Marriage if you’d be open to it. I think an inverse where Ominis is the one jealous would be interesting especially given he’s much more willing to share his emotions with reader compared to them.
This got so out of hand I'm so sorry-
Marry Me (O.G)
I got stuck listening to Eric Cartman sing Poker Face because it was already playing, and I just committed to it. It's been over two hours. He's holding me hostage, send help, please. Anyway, accidently went heaving on the angst as I was baking this, but it got very fluffy when it came out of the oven, so I think that makes up for it. I hope you enjoy, because idk how I got to 4k words with this, I blacked out.
pt1, Marriage?
Tumblr media
You walked down the hall with Ominis as you trailed behind Sebastian, who was rambling on about how he needed a better dueling partner, shaking your head each time he asked you if you were “sure” you didn’t want to duel him. Sebastian continued talking to himself as you leaned over to Ominis, whispering in his ear. “If we left, do you think he’d notice?” Ominis shook his head, a smile gracing his lips as he grabbed your hand and led you down a different hall. “He’ll realize eventually, but by then we should be far enough away to be free.” You laughed as you continued to walk, still holding Ominis’ hand.
You played with your mother’s ring; its silver band cold on your skin as you moved it around. Ominis usually held the hand with the ring on it since you had lost it a few weeks prior, but you were on his other side at that moment, so he grabbed the hand closest to him. You continued to walk down the hall in a comfortable silence, the warm feeling in your chest felt homely now. You smiled to yourself, glad that you were able to become close with Ominis, you even felt ready to marry him, sort of. There was still a dull throb in your chest every now and then, telling you that you were only this close now because you had to, and that your mother had asked you to be nicer to Ominis.
Some nights, you find yourself staring up at the dark ceiling, thoughts of doubt and feelings of sadness filling your whole being. You often wondered if Ominis was going through those feelings as well, though he never showed them. Ominis was always up front on his thoughts and feelings, but would he lie to you to not hurt your feelings? Your thoughts began to run as you walked, biting the inside of your cheek. Ominis broke the silence soon after, speaking in a nonchalant manner. “My father sent a letter earlier today.” You broke from your thoughts, turning your head slightly as you hummed in response. “Really? What did he say?” Ominis hung his head as he walked, brows furrowed. “He asked for progress on our relationship. He says we’re close to the age for a wedding.” You stopped walking, frowning as you looked at Ominis. “A progress report? Has he been keeping an eye on us?” You asked, letting go of Ominis’ hand as you crossed your arms. Ominis turned, missing the feeling of your hand in his, but nodded.
“He sends frequent letters asking about it, to keep track I suppose.” He said, shrugging his shoulders. Your eyes widened, the idea that you were practically being watched even in Hogwarts stung you. You were unable to speak, your thoughts running once again as you began to think about what Ominis might have told him over the years, face turning red. “Y/n? It’s just him checking in, nothing to worry about, I assure you.” Ominis said, walking towards you. You shook your head, taking a step back. “How much have you told him?” You asked, your heart beginning to beat faster in your chest. Ominis shrugged, “He always asks for details, so I give him them, it’s nothing to worry about, honest.” Your gaze narrowed as you looked down at your feet. His father was a harsh man, and you remembered the stories he would tell at the dinner table during parties; how they would torture muggles for fun. You shuddered, wondering how he felt when he read how you treated Ominis when you first started Hogwarts.
“I haven’t even told my father anything, and you’re sending detailed reports to yours?” You said, anger replacing the confusion that had a grasp on your chest. You watched as Ominis hung his head, nodding slightly. You sighed as took a few breaths, collecting your thoughts. “So that means, that he now knows that we’ve kissed, and how I basically bullied you for years?” You asked, trying to keep your voice calm. Ominis nodded again, head still low. “Do you know what this means? What if he read your earlier notes and did something?” Ominis raised his head, confused. “What are you implying?” “I’m implying that he could have retaliated when he read that we weren’t getting along!” You began to shout, your thoughts running faster than you could have kept up. You felt a squeeze in your chest, tears threatening to fall as you stared at Ominis, who stood there, unmoving. “Your mother?”
You breathed heavily, glaring at Ominis. “They said she died suddenly, and I left it at that. But now? I don’t think so.” Ominis glared at you, not believing what he was hearing. “You think he did something?” You sighed as you nodded, feeling the tears begin to fall from your eyes. “I think we need some time apart; I need to breathe.” You said, turning away from Ominis. “You can tell your father that too. In fact, tell him I refuse.” You sighed, hearing Ominis as he scoffed. “Refuse? Do you really think you can get out of this?” You began to walk away, shouting over your shoulder, “You didn’t want this either, so I’m sure you’ll be fine.” You turned down another hall, feeling your hands shake as you tried to keep your composure. You passed by Sebastian, who had realized that the two of you were no longer with him, as he tried to talk to you. “Not now, Sebastian. Another time, perhaps.” Sebastian watched you in confusion as you kept walking towards the common room, desperate to reach your bed.
For the next few days, you avoided Ominis and kept to yourself, spending most of your free time trying to figure out what to do next. Ominis had tried to speak with you; offer you an explanation, but you refused, instead busying yourself with something each time he tried to speak. It felt as if you were back to square one, settling for your bed as you thought about the past few years. You didn’t fully believe that his father was responsible, but you knew how Mr. Gaunt was and how he treated people he thought were below him. You sighed as you stared at the ceiling, not hearing the door open. “Hey, Y/n. You have a letter.” Imelda walked in; a familiar owl rested on her arm as she handed you the envelope. You eyed it suspiciously, unsure if it was best to open it. “Are you sure it’s for me? That’s not my owl,” You asked, standing up from your bed as you walked over. “It has your name on it. Though, I’m not sure why you’d be receiving an owl from the Gaunts.” Your eyes widened as you looked at the owl, its dark feathers ruffled as it shifted on Imelda’s arm. “Thank you, Imelda. I suppose I should take the owl from you as well.” Imelda nodded, watching as the owl flew off her arm and landed on the post of your bed, clicking its beak. Imelda walked out, leaving you to open a small pouch and give the treat to the owl, sitting on your bed as you sighed.
You opened the letter, the elegant handwriting covered the page, one that was no doubt sent by Mrs. Gaunt. You tensed up, reading through the letter as Mrs. Gaunt wrote her apologies. “I never properly spoke with you after your mother’s death, and for that, I apologize. I know you may have your doubts, but I assure you, no matter how harsh my husband is, he would never point his wand at your family, you have my word.” You furrowed your brows as you read; it was unlike Mrs. Gaunt to be so up-front, let alone send you a letter. You continued to read. “I know how hard it was to accept the fact that you had to marry someone you didn’t know. I apologize for that as well, ten years old is too young to arrange such a thing. But I know how you feel, as I was in your place as well. I’ve read the letters my son has sent back, and I applaud your persistence in the past, as I would have done the same. However, even as you acted out, Ominis continued to try and befriend you. When he wrote back to us saying how you had helped him from causing an explosion in class, I felt happy, something I hadn’t expected.” You sighed, glancing over to the owl, you stared at you with round, amber eyes. You turned back to the letter. “It is evident that Ominis cares for you, and even now, as he writes to us about the rift that has sprung between the two of you, he still cares. I’m writing to you, not as his mother, but as someone you can count on. Ominis loves you. And I know that, deep down, you must care for him in the same way. I only hope I can shed some light on the problem at hand, I would love to have you in our family. You have your mother’s spirit, and I’m sure you will see just how much Ominis cares.” You set the letter down, your mind wandering as you went over her words. Of course, you cared for Ominis, but you were unsure if the care was real or superficial. You thought Ominis felt the same, even after he had expressed how glad he was that you two had become close; you felt like it was all a ploy. You groaned as you lay on your back, shutting your eyes tightly as you began to go through the events that led you to that moment.
You had sent the owl back later that night, sighing as you continued to lay in bed. You needed to figure out your own feelings before you began to try and figure out Ominis’, but you had found yourself at a wall. While you felt protective and jealous, whenever you saw someone flirting with Ominis, you couldn’t bring yourself to say that it was out of love. Did you even know what that was? You had been told that you would grow to love your husband-to-be, but no one had ever specified exactly what that would feel like, leaving you to figure it out for yourself. You didn’t know who to ask either, nor did you think you could bring yourself to ask someone that question either. You groaned as you slammed a fist down onto your covers, glaring into the stone above you.
A knock sounded at the door, causing you to turn your head. Imelda came in and placed her bag by her bed, her gaze softening as she saw you on your bed, where she had left you earlier. She slowly made her way over and moved your legs, taking a seat. “I take it that the letter wasn’t good?” She asked, looking down at her hands. You groaned once again, unable to form any words. The letter lay beside you, and Imelda looked at you curiously as she reached for the parchment, silently asking if she could have a look. You didn’t stop her, opting to close your eyes instead. Imelda stayed quiet as she read, taking a few moments to gather her thoughts as she pulled her legs up onto your bed, crossing them as she tapped your foot. “Do you want to talk about it?” You sighed, trying to gather your thoughts. Imelda wasn’t normally this docile, and you thought about asking her about the whole situation while you had someone willing to listen. You sat up, crossing your legs as well as you bit your lip.
“I’m having a hard time figuring things out, if that makes sense.” You started, watching Imelda as she nodded softly, motioning for you to continue. You explained to her about your feelings, about how you didn’t understand what they were and how you didn’t know what you were supposed to be feeling. Imelda listened to you, waiting for you to finish before talking herself. “You’re close with him, that part is clear. I can’t tell you what you should be feeling, because not everyone feels the same things, but it seems like you do care.” You furrowed your brows, looking down at your bed. Imelda continued. “Jealousy like that isn’t something you can really fake just because you must. I was there, when you stood behind that girl as she flirted with Ominis. That was real, that much I can tell you.” She pushed your shoulder lightly, smiling. “Besides, you looked like you wanted to hex her. No one just wants to hex someone over a guy.” You smiled lightly, nodding. “I wanted to turn her into a chicken and let her loose in the wild.” Imelda chuckled as she shook her head. “See? You felt something about that. That was real. Who’s to say you don’t actually love the guy? It’s clear he loves you. He might be blind, but the rest of us aren’t!” You laughed with her, feeling the dark pain in your chest slowly lift.
“But how do I fix it? I already accused his father, you read the letter.” Imelda nodded, shrugging. “You could try to talk to him, thought, I’m not sure how you’d start that off.” You sighed, flopping to your side as you rolled in your bed, burying your head into the sheets. “How about you ask him out, like a date?” You raised your head sharply, frowning at her. “A date? After all this?” She shrugged, “It’s the best I can come up with. Maybe just ask him to go with you to The Three Broomsticks? Try to talk to him?” You bit the inside of your cheek, deep in thought. “Wouldn’t that be weird? I haven’t spoken to him for three days, and you want me to ask him out?” Imelda scoffed, patting you on your head. “You’d be surprised. I’m sure Sebastian is filling his mind with ideas to fix this as well. Just try, please? I don’t need to wake up in the morning and see you staring at the ceiling again, I thought you were dead this morning.” You laughed as you shook your head. “Sorry about that, couldn’t sleep much.” Imelda shook her head as she got off your bed. “If you don’t ask him to Hogsmeade tomorrow, I’ll have to make you.”
The next day, you walked over to Sebastian, who smirked at you. You narrowed your eyes, watching as Sebastian pretended to be busy. “What are you hiding, Sallow?” Sebastian scoffed as he held up a book, opened yet upside down. “Just a bit of light reading on this fine Saturday, and yourself?” You crossed your arms as you raised an eyebrow. “The book is upside down.” His eyes widened as he looked at the page, noticing the words were, in fact, upside down. You sat across from him, glaring. Sebastian avoided your gaze, biting the inside of his cheek. “Out with it, you’re bad at keeping secrets.” He sighed, pouting as he brought his gaze to meet yours. “I may have talked to Ominis.” “As you always do.” “Let me talk! You’re always interrupting me.” You sighed as you motioned for him to continue. “I might have told him to go fetch a few things for you. Small things, of course, because relationships always need small gifts to fix things.” You raised a brow, a small smirk playing at the corner of your mouth. “Really?” Sebastian nodded, shrugging his shoulders. “You like each other! And you were doing so well! Surely Imelda talked with you?” “So, you two were in on it.” “Well, it wasn’t planned, if that’s what you’re implying. We just had similar goals.” You scoffed. “Look, Ominis is torn about this. He didn’t think that you would be upset about the whole thing! I admit, it’s definitely an invasion of privacy, but you know how his family is!” You nodded, mentioning the letter you received. “She sent you a letter? She never does that!” You shrugged, resting your cheek on your hand. “Look, just, try and listen to him, yeah? He cares, you care, I want to be the best man, we all want something!” You chuckled. The sound of footsteps sounded behind you, and you turned to see Ominis as he stood behind you, a small bag in his hand.
“Y/n, may I have a word?” Ominis asked, and you sighed as you stood up, sending a glare at Sebastian as he sent you a thumbs up. You left the common room and walked down the halls, just like you did when the whole ordeal started. “Ominis.” You started, glancing over at him as you walked. He shook his head, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you; it was not my intention. It didn’t come to mind how you would feel if I told you about the letters.” You sighed as you nodded, watching your feet as you walked. “I apologize as well for how I acted; it was uncalled for.” Ominis nodded, a small smile gracing his lips. “You acted like a spoiled princess, just like you did when we first met.” You scoffed, crossing your arms. “A spoiled princess? Really?” Ominis chuckled, “I like that about you, though. You know what you deserve, even if you don’t know it at the time.” He paused as he turned to you, handing you the small bag. “You deserved to know about the letters, and I know that you wanted a reason for your mother’s death, and I don’t blame you for thinking that my father had something to do with it. I thought the same, at first.” You took the bag from his hand slowly, the warm feeling of his hand against your own sending your heart into a stir. “It was still wrong of me, I shouldn’t have thought that way.” Ominis shrugged, “What’s done is done, but I do hope you can still forgive me, or at least accept my offerings.” You smiled as you looked in the bag.
Inside was a collection of treats that you adored, along with a new scarf made of some of the softest cotton you had ever felt. You reached in and found a small box, opening it and finding a silver necklace inside, a light emerald jewel hung from it. You gasped as you examined it, looking up at Ominis. “Ominis, you didn’t need to do all of this. I don’t deserve these gifts after I started this.” Ominis shook his head, reaching his hands out as he felt for yours, grabbing the necklace. “There you go again, thinking you don’t deserve something. Turn around.” You sighed as you turned, watching his hand appear in front of you as he placed the necklace around your neck, its cold metal a stark contrast to how warm you felt at that moment. He clasped the necklace and sighed, resting his forehead onto your shoulder. “This was a big ordeal, but I’m glad we could talk it out, I missed having you at my side.” You chuckled as you shook your head. “It was three days.” “Too long, if you ask me.” You sighed as you turned to Ominis, placing a small kiss on his cheek. “Let's go on a date, you and me.” Ominis, whose cheeks had turned red from the sudden kiss, only turned redder, if that was possible. “A date?” You nodded, grabbing his hand as you walked down the hall to Hogsmeade. “Yes, we haven’t had an actual date yet. So, let’s have one.” Ominis nodded as he followed you, a smile growing on his lips.
You smiled to Sirona as you walked in, taking a seat in the corner of the tavern. She walked over, smiling at the two of you. “Need anything at the moment you two?” She asked, and you nodded. “Maybe two butterbeers would be fine, right Ominis?” You looked over to the boy who nodded, waving to Sirona. She smiled as she nodded, leaving for a few moments before returning with two mugs. “On the house today, just for you.” She winked at you, causing your face to heat up slightly, realizing that she knew what was going on. The two of you chatted for what felt like hours, Sirona coming up every now and then to check up on you, even offering some treats, which you gladly accepted. You watched as Ominis kept a smile throughout the date, the small tint of pink never leaving his cheeks.
Ominis listened to your voice; how he missed hearing you talk. He missed your laugh as well and couldn’t help himself from joining you as you giggled over something he said. He felt nervous, though, as he continued to think about you and how much he missed your presence, even after three days. His pocket felt heavy as he listened to you talk, feeling like he was falling even more in love with you as the seconds ticked away. His thoughts were broken, however, when a new voice joined yours.
“Hello there, y/n! Fancy seeing you here!” The voice said. Ominis recognized the voice; frowning as Amit stood before you. You smiled as you greeted him. “Hello there, Amit! It’s nice to see you.” “Likewise. It’s been a while since we last talked, I thought you had disappeared.” You chuckled, shaking your head. “I’m always around, you know that.” Ominis felt the frown grow on his lips as he listened to the two of you talk, noticing the flirty tone Amit was using. You hadn’t seemed to notice, however, as you continued to make small talk with the Ravenclaw. “If you’d allow me, why don’t I buy you a drink?” Your eyes widened as you stuttered, unsure what to do. Ominis quickly answered for you, however, his voice dark as he spoke. “Actually, she’s with me tonight. Like always.” You hid a smile as you watched Ominis glare in Amit’s direction, seemingly seething at Amit, who widened his eyes and took a step back. “Of course, I apologize, have a nice night!” With that, you watched, amused, as Amit awkwardly walked off.
You smiled at Ominis, letting out a chuckle. “So, this is what it feels like, watching someone get jealous.” Ominis scoffed as he shook his head, “At least I didn’t hex him like you wanted to.” “How did you know I wanted to?” “A gut feeling.” You laughed, watching Ominis’ face soften as he fumbled with his hands. You bit the inside of your cheek, watching Ominis as he looked down at his hands. “What’s on your mind, my dear Ominis?” You asked, watching his cheeks turn red as you spoke. Ominis shook his head as he continued to play with his hands under the table. You scoffed as you shook your head. “Something is, or else you wouldn’t be acting that way.” “I want to marry you.”
Your eyes widened when Ominis spoke, your heart seemingly skipping beats as you processed what he said. “Marry me? But we already are supposed-“ “I want to actually marry you. Not because it was already arranged, but because I want to.” Your breath got caught in your chest, the heat in your cheeks only growing hotter the more he spoke. “Maybe I wanted to marry you when we first met, because you didn’t care that I was blind and still wanted me to shake your hand. Maybe it was when you described the world around us for me, or when we found your mother’s ring, and you let me place it on your finger. Perhaps it was when I broke your trust, and you hid from me for those three days. I missed you during those days, you weren’t describing things to me, and I felt like I couldn’t see.” He took a breath, pulling his hands up from under the table, a box identical to the one that held the necklace laid in his hands. You sat there, unmoving, as you felt the world come to a stop. “I want to properly propose, and the wedding to be real, if you’d let me.” He opened the box and showed you a ring identical to the necklace, a silver band adorned with small, pale emeralds, the silver band extending around to hold the jewels decorating each side. It shined in the soft light of the tavern, and you felt your heart almost stop beating.
“You actually want to marry me? Like, you want to?” You whispered, unable to believe what you were witnessing. Ominis smiled as he nodded. “I love you, obviously, and I want to marry you. You have my love and my heart, you always have, and I want you to keep them.” You felt your cheeks become wet, noticing that you had started to cry. Was the feeling that held your heart love, the same love that others felt when they were with someone special? You reached you hand out and grazed it against his, whispering seemingly to yourself. “I do love you, clear as day.” Ominis smiled, taking your hand as he placed the ring on your finger, placing a kiss to your hand.
Sirona watched the two of you as she smiled, noting the events to relay to Sebastian later, who practically danced when she told him about it. “I’m going to be the best man, just you wait. I knew my plan would work!” Sirona shook her head as she smiled, enjoying the events she had been allowed to witness.

Dude I’m obsessed with your writing I’m so glad I came across your page omg 😭🙏 I Hope you don’t mind me requesting a Omnis gaunt x reader fic that would be about the reader being a pureblood like omnis being arranged to marry each other and the both don’t get along and then later on they both start warming up to each other and also start caring about each other one day the reader catches a slytherin girl flirting with omnis which makes her jealous to the point the reader is tempted to transform the girl into a damn chicken and Omnis immediately knows the reader is there so after the girl goes away Ominis starts teasing the reader which causes her to be flustered and then out of nowhere the reader quickly gives him a kiss (I’m so sorry if this sounds cringe but I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers and I can’t help but imagine omnis and the reader be like that at first)
"You're supposed to be my husband you idiot <(‵^′)>"
Marriage? (O.G)
hehe OG. Anyway, this is pretty long, if I do say so myself. I listened to a classical music playlist so I kind of got into it. Also, I think my nose ring got infected and now the tip of my nose hurst really bad, so I have to deal with that for a bit. Apparently you shouldn't use rubbing alcohol and stuff and only like saline solution but....my old college friend stole my solution and I keep forgetting to buy more. Anyway, no warnings, fem!reader, whose also in Slytherin. Its just the good old angst/fluff enemies to lovers trope. I've never written for Ominis before, and let me tell you, I kept typing Seb on accident before correcting myself. And thank you so much for all your requests, im still chipping away at them! Anyway, Enjoy <3 pt2, Marry Me

You stood beside your mother, grasping onto her dress as you stood, watching your father talk with another man. Beside him sat a strange-looking boy. You noticed how his eyes were very different, unsure how to describe them if anyone ever asked, but his hair was laid nicely, done by his mother, no doubt. He was dressed in a rather fancy attire, one you would normally see at one of the many high-end parties your parents would hold, at it seemed to match the dress you wore perfectly. Your mother held a glare as she looked at your father, who shook hands with the other and walked over to you, kneeling down to your height. “Darling, I want you to meet Ominis Gaunt, the boy over there.” He pointed to the boy, who you now know was named Ominis, who didn’t wave or even acknowledge you. You huffed, crossing your arms. “Why must I meet him? He doesn’t look very friendly.” You complained, sending a childish glare his way. Your father sighed, placing a hand on your small shoulder. “You’ll be married to him in the future, so it’d be best if you met now and got along beforehand.”
“Marry him? That’s stupid! I don’t want to get married!” You shouted, running to hide behind your mother. She only sighed as she turned to you, patting your head. “Just go say hi to him, ok darling?” You puffed your cheeks as she ushered you towards him, leaving you there to go make small talk with his parents. You stood there, glaring at the strange boy. His eyes were creepy, and they only seemed to get creepier the more you looked at him. He didn’t speak a word, staring off into a corner of the room the two had been left in. You took a breath and brought your hand out, outstretched to shake his own. “Hello, my name is y/n. You’re Ominis?” He nodded, turning his head in your direction. He didn’t take your hand, nor even look at it. You grew impatient, feeling like a fool. “Well? Aren’t you going to shake my hand?” You asked, gesturing to him. “Right, sorry.” He said, and stretched his own hand out, moving it around in the air. “Seriously? Come on.” You sighed, grabbing his hand, and shaking it once. “You act like your blind, or something.”
“I am…blind.” Ominis said, furrowing his brows. You glared at him, still upset about the embarrassing handshake. “Clearly.” You turned to walk away, looking in the direction of your mother. “How boring, I refuse to marry someone as boring as you are.” Ominis glared in your direction, beginning to dread the arraignment your parents had set up. “I wouldn’t want to marry someone as spoiled as you, either.” Your cheeks heated up in anger as you turned to him. “I am not spoiled!” Ominis shrugged, “Could have fooled me.” You huffed as you stomped over to your mother, grabbing her hand. “Let’s go, mother. I refuse to marry someone like him, he’s boring and rude.” She sighed, looking over to your father as he narrowed his eyes. “You don’t have a choice, sweetie. Your father already set it up.” “Well then Father is a fool, I wish to go home and never see him again.”
“I’m afraid that won’t be possible, little lady.” Your father scowled, crossing his arms. “It has already been set that you will marry Ominis, and even if you wanted to avoid him, it would be impossible.” You stomped a foot onto the cobbled ground, pouting. “And why is that?” You asked, glaring over at Ominis, who had made his way over, somehow. “You’ll be attending Hogwarts next year, same as him. No doubt you’ll be in the same house as well. You must get used to it.” Your father placed his cup onto the table, bowing his head to Mr. Gaunt. “I refuse!” Your mother grabbed your hand and began to walk you out, promising to let you out into the garden when you made it home. You smiled; finally being told something you like to hear. Your father only sighed as he stepped into the carriage behind you, pinching the bridge of his nose. “She’s only ten, it’s quite the age to be set up for marriage.” Your mother reasoned, still holding your hand. You looked out the window, focusing on the world going by instead of your parents’ voices. “It doesn’t matter, we were the same age when we were told that we would marry.” He looked over at his wife, who refused to make eye contact with him. “And I resented you for a long while before we got to that point. All I’m saying is to give them time. Children their age don’t want to get married, they want to see the world.” “She has no choice, one way or the other.”
You stood amongst the crowd, watching as students were called up and placed into their houses. You fiddled with the ring your mother gave you, looking around anxiously. You watched a girl walk up to the front, sitting on the stool. You let out a shaky breath as you watched her smile and run to where the other Ravenclaws were. “Nervous?” You groaned, turning to Ominis. “Not one bit, but I would mind some personal space, you know.” Ominis shook his head, “You can’t lie to me. I can hear your breathing.” You glared at him, knowing he couldn’t see the anger that had made its home in your features. “Keep your ears away, just because you can’t see doesn’t mean you can use your hearing to spy on me.” Ominis shook his head, backing away slightly. “Still as rotten as always. Remind me to never try and help you with anything.” You scoffed, “As if anything I need help with would use your assistance.” Your name was called then, and you gave Ominis one last glare as you made your way through, sitting on the stool.
“You have great wit, you do. Bit of a temper… but not to everyone. I see. A rival already, perhaps? Your mind is strong, but there are other parts…yes.” You sighed as the hat rambled to itself, looking around. “I’d say… Slytherin!” You released the breath you had begun to hold, heading to the table where your father had sat many years ago. A girl waved her hand to you, patting the seat beside her. “Come sit here!” You nodded as you made your way over, taking a seat beside the brunette. “Hello! I’m Anne, it’s a pleasure to meet you!” She offered to shake your hand, and you gladly took it. “My name is y/n, it’s nice to meet you.” Anne smiled at you and pointed into the crowd. “You see that boy, the one with the brown hair near the front?” You shook your head, noticing that there were a long of boys in the assembly with brown hair, including Ominis. “There’s quite a few of them, Anne. You’d have to be more specific.” She sighed, trying to find an easier way to show you. “Oh! He’s standing by the other boy with brown hair, I saw him earlier, blind I believe?” You sighed, knowing she meant Ominis, and quickly spotted him. Beside his stood a taller boy, brown hair, just like Anne said. “I believe I see him now.” Anne smiled, “Good! That’s my twin brother, Sebastian!” You nodded, watching as the two boys got closer to the front of the group. “He’ll definitely be in the same house, I’m sure of it.” You could only nod, watching as Ominis was called up to the stool. Your father’s words replayed in your head, “No doubt you’ll be in the same house.” You shuddered, glaring as Ominis was, indeed, sorted into Slytherin as well.
You thought that would be the end of it, you’d be sorted in the same house, but otherwise not have to deal with each other. You were wrong. You shared many classes with Ominis in your first year, second too. Your friend, Anne, had also become his friend, along with her twin brother Sebastian. You felt your insides bubble in anger as you realized that you had to share friends now, unable to get away from the boring boy you were cursed to marry. Anne had come up to ask you once why you were sort of rude to Ominis, but kind to everyone else. You brushed it off, replying that you just didn’t get along with him. Ominis had let it slip once, though, in front of Anne and Sebastian.
You watched Ominis become more aware of his surroundings, able to navigate around furniture with ease now thanks to all the practice. He was annoying you, always bringing up the marriage situation whenever he tried to help you with something. You thought that maybe you hung out with Imelda too much, as you dragged some of the furniture around a bit, just barely noticeable to anyone. You then sat back, talking with Anne and Sebastian, eyes trailing to Ominis as he walked into the common room. You watched as he took his normal route, around tables and chairs, but his route was disrupted. You watched in glee as he ran his side into the arm of a chair, hissing in pain as he grabbed it. Sebastian quickly stood up, moving to help Ominis.
“Pretty clumsy, are you?” You teased, placing your arms behind your head. Ominis glared in your direction, already on to your plan. “I do hope you lose the habit of moving furniture before we get married, I’ll be dead before we even reach the wedding.” You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Perhaps that was the plan, my dear.” Anne and Sebastian looked between the two of you, confused. “Wait!” Anne spoke up, “Is that why you don’t like Ominis? You’re forced to marry him?” You nodded, gesturing to Ominis, “He called me spoiled when we first met.” Anne looked at Ominis, seemingly offended for you. Quickly, Ominis retorted. “You called me boring and rude! And said to “stop acting like I’m blind.”” You held back a laugh, “To be fair, no one told me you were blind before-hand.” Ominis sighed, exhausted. “Could have asked, you know.” “Be pretty rude to walk up to a boy I just met and go “Hello, I’m going to be your wife! By any chance, are you blind?” Although, that would be pretty funny.” Ominis shook his head.
By the time you made it to your third year, Anne had been pestering you constantly to try and be nice with Ominis. You could only sigh, telling her that she sounded like your mother. You continued to banter with Ominis day after day, insulting each other and pranking each other. The fourth year arrived, and Sebastian came along, informing you that Anne was unwell and unable to come back. Down a friend, you were stuck with Ominis and Sebastian, and you began to grow tired of making fun of your soon-to-be husband.
You walked into the potion’s classroom, taking your seat next to Ominis. He looked over at you, and you blew air from your nose. “Rough night last night?” Ominis asked, stating the obvious, but you could no longer fault him. He was unable to see the dark circles that had formed under your eyes from the study session you had last night, flipping through the chapter you would be going over today. You had always been anxious during Potions, the fear that one wrong ingredient would possibly cause an explosion was the key element that made you study so hard. “Yeah, you could say that.” You responded, grabbing your book, and opening to the page you were on before you finally surrendered to sleep. “You know, not every potions class is going to end up in flames.” You scoffed, shaking your head. “You never fully know until it happens.” “Of course.”
Sharp began the class with the description of the potion they would be making, lecturing for about five minutes before letting the students begin. You sighed, reading off the measurements as you placed them in your pot. You had it memorized, thanks to the night before. You read how the potion was supposed to react, and how it reacted when ingredients were placed when they weren’t supposed to. The potion would blow up, and you refused to let that happen. You took a quick glance at Ominis, checking up on him, only to quickly look back at his hand in horror. He had grabbed the wrong ingredient, of course, and was seconds away from placing it into the cauldron. Quickly, you grabbed his hand, pulling it away. “Ominis! You really must double check before you start adding ingredients!” Ominis looked at you, surprised. “What do you mean?” You sighed, taking the moss out of his hand and placing it away from the rest of the ingredients, replacing it with milkweed. “You were about to blow yourself up, is what I mean. If you’re unsure, please check with me first. Imagine what I’d have to tell your parents if you blew yourself up.” Ominis listened to you ramble, a soft smile on his lips. You had started to become kind to him as you made it to your fifth year. Sebastian joked and said you were finally maturing. Ominis swore that, sometimes, you had been looking out for him as the three of you walked down the hall. Who else would tug on his sleeve and pull him slightly over before he bumped into a statue?
You had stopped talking, returning to your own potion. Ominis placed the milkweed into the cauldron, giving it a quick stir. “Thank you, by the way.” He said quietly, reaching for another ingredient. “Don’t mention it, you probably would have blown me up too, honestly. Here,” You said, grabbing his paper with the instructions on it. You had learned a spell a while ago that changed writing on parchment, and had tweaked it to turn words into brail. Waving your wand quickly, the ink turned to raised dots, and you quickly labeled the ingredients he was using. “So, you don’t blow us up again.” Curious, Ominis grabbed the paper you placed in front of him, running his fingers down it. He smiled and felt a slight warmth in his cheeks. You ignored him and continued to work.
It became a habit in potions now, where you would watch Ominis as he worked with his potions, making sure he was using the right ones. In other classes, you began to help each other, slightly. There was still the teasing and slight insult, but otherwise the two of you were rather tame. You began to walk with Ominis around the grounds, describing things to him when you didn’t have classes to get to. Ominis enjoyed the walks the two of you shared, enjoying the descriptions you made. Sometimes, you would purposefully describe something in a weird way, waiting for Ominis to catch on and tell you how crazy that would be, but sometimes he didn’t. Sometimes, Ominis would become engrossed in your voice, it always had a calm tone to it, even if you were acting out against him. It was one of the first things he noticed when you first met six year prior; the soft voice you used when addressing your mother, how it sounded annoyed when you asked if he was going to shake your hand, the stern tone you used when you told your father that he was boring and rude.
You grabbed his sleeve, shaking him from his thoughts. “No, no, no, where is it?” Your voice was panicked this time, one that Ominis never really heard much. “What’s happened?” You dropped to the ground, searching through the grass. “My mother’s ring! It must have slipped off my finger! I can’t find it.” Your voice cracked, and Ominis knelt down and found your shoulder. “Are you sure you didn’t take it off and leave it by your bed?” You shook your head frantically, tears swelling in your eyes. “Never! I never take it off, not anymore.” Ominis could hear you begin to cry. You had worn the ring to your first day of Hogwarts, a gift from your mother. You told him once about it, how its silver band curled around a pale yellow stone, Hufflepuff, the house your mother was in. You had taken it off every now and then if you were planning on dueling Sebastian or caring for creatures, but during the break between fourth and fifth year, your mother had passed suddenly, and you refused to take it off after that.
“I don’t know where it could be! I can’t remember when I had it last,” You wept, and Ominis found you once again and offered his hand. “I may not be the best help, but I can help us retrace our steps.” You looked at him, confused. “How?” “Well, you’ve been describing our walk this whole time, so if we go back along the same route and give it a good look-over, I’m sure you’ll spot it.” You nodded, taking his hand as he pulled you up, taking your hand and recounting the path you took. “I believe we left off at the tree with the pink flowers?” You nodded, moving back to the tree, guiding Ominis behind you. You scanned the ground as you walked, not seeing any sign of it. “Not here…” Ominis thought back again, “We visited the fence with the strange mushrooms growing on it, yes?” “That’s right!” The ring wasn’t there either, but Ominis refused to let your hopes down. “I remember you talking about the small pond where those giant toads lived, perhaps it’s there?” The two of you made your way back to the pond, and you searched through the grass. Ominis joined in, sifting through with his fingers, coming up to a round metal object with what felt like a gemstone attached to it. “Here it is!”
“Ominis! You’re a genius!” You shouted, running up to him. Ominis smiled, stretching his hand out. You looked at him, puzzled, not reaching for it as you tried to figure out what he was doing. “Give me your hand, I know you’re not blind.” You chuckled, placing your hand in his. Slowly, he guided the ring back onto your finger, closing your hand with his own. “There, best that we don’t lose it again, yeah?” “Right, thank you so much, Ominis. I have no idea what I would do without you.”
A few weeks had gone by, and the two of you had seemingly gotten closer. You helped each other in class, point out if one of your favourite food was at supper, and take the usual walks, which did not lead to you losing your ring a second time. Ominis had made sure that you wouldn’t, taking your hand with the ring in his as you walked, “A precaution,” Ominis said. You were unsure where you stood with Ominis at that point, unable to tell if you were getting along because you had to, or because you wanted to. You didn’t even know if you actually liked him, thanks to the arraignment; you felt conflicted, unsure if your feelings were real or made up to save face for your families. You weren’t going to ask Ominis how he felt, of course. You pushed the thoughts aside as you walked into the common room, ready to collect Ominis and head to the dining hall.
You looked over to the couch, eyeing where Ominis sat. Beside him sat another student, who had begun to play with her hair as she talked with him. Your eyes narrowed as you walked closer, disgust painting your face as you listened to her awful attempts at flirting. “So, I was thinking. Maybe we could go by the lake? It’s quiet there.” She said, and you glared daggers into the back of her head. Shameless fliting was one thing, shameless flirting with Ominis? A death sentence. Hexes ran through your head, the idea of turning her into a chicken and leaving her in one of the pens stuck out, another, turning her into a toad and leaving her to live with the other toads in the crowded pond. Ominis heard the small noise you made when she tried to get closer, and he smirked. He knew you were there, probably standing behind her as you glared at her, something Sebastian had described to him anytime Poppy would get picked on. You had made it your habit to stand behind your “victims” until they turned around and met your dagger-like gaze, threatening to hex them if they didn’t get out of your sight. Ominis could only imagine what scene was playing out before him, and he broke into a smile. The student took that as a good sign, “I’ll meet you there then.” She got up and turned to grab the book she had placed down, gasping as your presence startled her. “You have to stop sneaking up on people like that, y/n!” Your gaze never broke, “My apologies.”
The girl left, leaving you to huff in annoyance as you waited for Ominis to stand. His smile never left as he slowly got up and walked to you. “It’s quiet there? That’s so stupid! She needs to work on her flirting skills.” You crossed your arms, turning to walk to the door. “Is someone jealous?” You scoffed, as you exited the room, “Why would I?” “We’re supposed to get married, I’m basically your husband already.” You shook your head, pouting. “We’re not married yet, so why should I care?” You walked along the empty hall, the sound of your shoes hitting the cobble echoing around you. Ominis chuckled, “So I can…go to the lake with her tonight, then?” Your cheeks heated up and you began to stutter. “The- the lake? Absolutely not! Why would you-“ You took a breath in and sighed. “Go on then, go have your fun.” You stopped walking, turning to Ominis and crossing your arms. Still smiling, Ominis shrugged his shoulders and turned to walk away, and you huffed in annoyance as your face turned bright red. You quickly grabbed his arm to stop him, “You’re not…actually going to go, are you?” You asked, hanging your head and looking down at your feet. You heard him chuckle, as he turned, guiding his hand up to find your face. “I wouldn’t need to if my wife-to-be would stop being so stubborn.” He felt your cheek burn as you looked up at him, debating what to do.
Without a second thought, you quickly brought your lips together in a quick kiss, hoping that Ominis would understand. You pulled back just as quickly, watching his face heat up just as yours did, a sheepish smile playing on his lips. “There she is.” “Shut up.”
