AMBASSADE EXCELLENCE E-SHOP.
STELLA - Unbreakable since 1922
*
You may know, without knowing; you may have spent a good bunch of hours, even years for the most astute of you, sat on a Stella chair (no doubt on the steel tube structured model). Even for the most pious, sitting, standing, kneeling on a Stella bench, the Maison having furnished our childhood classrooms as well as the churches you have or have not done your first Communion at. As for the many afternoons spent in the movie theaters equipped of Stella’s armchairs rather than anywhere else, it’s your concern.

Our talented friend, Evan Antzenberger, is starring in a beautiful short documentary. It tells the making of a kitchen knife ordered by the (also) very talented Alexandre Couillon, starred chef of La Marine, on the Noirmoutier island. This film is the first opus of a series dedicated to know how in France, it was shot and produced by Kepka productions.

VERONIQUE LEROY. QUEEN OF FASHION A CONVERSATION WITH VINCENT BERGERAT Shot by Christophe Bouquet • Born in Liege, Belgium, Veronique Leroy came to study model making in Paris in 1984, then went to the Studio Berçot, after which she joined Azzedine Alaia’s team, where she learned how to sharpen her keen sense of structure. Later on, she was influenced by Martine Sitbon’s feel for collections and how to stage them. • On her desk, among the silhouettes of her upcoming collection, sketches, samples and magazine clippings, there is a construction about twelve centimetres long, in printed cardboard, of a castle with its walls and two square, serrated towers, meticulously cut out and assembled by her daughter. There is also a copy of Grazia. read more:https://goo.gl/uBdkzb

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE WORLD PALAIS GARNIER, PART II Shot by Christophe Bouquet https://goo.gl/mnmpzp • From the highest of its domes where the bees work, go down to the phantom ship's capstans, slip into Nureyev's steps, along the « des 100 mètres" corridor, station on the fifth floor under and in the cellar, then to the invisible tank, where music loving carps dance. Selected pieces from the Palais Garnier. •

NEW ON AMBASSADE: PINTON Heterotopies since 1867 https://goo.gl/PLUJNz • A heterotopy is, literally, a different space, another place, a mythical, real contestation of the space in which we live.* A rug, like a garden, belongs to this class of spaces. Let us remember that rugs go back the beginning of time, as an evocation of a perfect, sacred garden, most certainly the Garden of Eden. The principle of heterotopy is to create a juxtaposition of different spaces, leading on to the idea of travel as well as being its ideal vehicle, the flying carpet. It is therefore not so absurd to declare that rugs are places of re-found happiness. The Pinton family, who have created some of the most beautiful rugs on this earth, have known this since 1867. • Throughout their more than a century-long history, Pinton, established in Felletin, the cradle of tapestry making several miles from Aubusson, have developed two directions for their excellence. Pinton is both creator and manufacturer. • * Michel Foucault, Heterotopia, Conference, 1966.

Ambassade’s ESHOP LA SERVIETTE PARIS - Luxury beach towels https://goo.gl/Fmzvhz
What are you doing for the holidays? A more fundamental question than what David and Jonathan sung in 1990*, inevitably calling for others, namely the following: With whom? It’s not any of our business. With what? It’s the business of Simon Tisse and Matthieu Menu, in fact, this type of question gave birth to La Serviette Paris.
