actors love to make their characters subtextually gay not just because they’re a little gay themselves though that often is the case but rather because having a secret is like energy drink to acting, and being gay is the easiest most obvious secret. whenever you’re unsure of your character’s motivations consider: maybe they are gay? see where that takes you. should be pretty far

i know everyone (correctly) talks about how sam reid was possessed by the ghost of lestat and perfectly encapsulates him in the show but i honest to god firmly believe that that show would not have been what it was (nor received the reception it did) without jacob anderson. he breathed such life into a character that probably wouldn't have been all that tolerable for multiple episodes let alone seasons.

i dont think lucanis and davrin are (so far) really comparable to anders and fenris but lucanis going on and on about the death davrin is headed for does offer a certain comfortable nostalgia. it does bring me back

Lucanis complains that resurrection wastes the effort of a good kill. Which. Yeah. Anyway I cannot leave Emmrich out of my party, I love him too much 😔

So far, one of my favourite things about Dragon Age: The Veilguard is that the player is actually rewarded for taking time to explore and do the side quests. It feels tangibly consequential to build up the strength of the related faction through helping out! This is a huge improvement from Dragon Age: Inquisition, where the game is just so packed full of side quests that feel like nothing but make work projects to needlessly stretch out the playtime.

every time the wardens do something fucked up i like them even more. this isn't about any game specifically but all of them. i fucking love the knockoff night's watch, i love that they guzzle nasty ichorous darkspawn blood that you'll die from 1) now or 2) in thirty years and how they don't tell their recruits until it's too late and the damage is done. i love their secrets and corruption and their heroism in the face of primordial darkness. i love warden leaders and warden recruits trying their best and the infighting that inevitably happens when they disagree.

The only reason Blackwall doesn’t look like this in game is because if he did look like this no one would want to sleep with egg man or the catholic cop

so funny in dragon age inquisition where everyone was like "hoooly fuck. can solas shut up. can he stop talking about spirits and the fade for 5 fucking secondsss." is like if you had a coworker who texted you nonstop like "broooo I love surfing i love the sea 💦🏝⛵🌊 haha water and shit yo. man let's hit some waves let's cowabunga let's swim with the fishiessss haha hmu" and then you find out he's poseidon

I love how the game tries to convince you that the First Warden is so unreasonable and annoying and a pisser when Rook talks to everyone like a flat earther. Like going up to your county sheriff and saying "hold all your calls. We need to focus on the real problem: Zeus and Aphrodite from Greek Mythology are in the White House and they have the nuclear missile codes" it's a wonder he didn't just kill them on the spot
