life saving surgery for my dad

Hello, I just discovered that Gofundme does not work in the country I live in! More coherent post now that I’ve calmed down.

Hello! My name is Caleb and I am a trans guy of color who loves folklore, storytelling and drawing! I am raising money for my dad’s surgery + us getting back on our feet. He is 56 years old and his surgery is to remove kidney stones that are causing him significant pain +  is life threatening . My dad is a funny and incredible guy, He loves cats and singing and he had sacrificed everything for my mom, my sister and I.  Both him and my mom are diabetic and disabled, as when I was 9 years old, my mom had suffered a sudden sepsis attack, which had caused her to go brain dead for a few minutes, before being revived and fall in a coma for 3 months. When my mother woke up from her coma, she was paralyzed, even her vocal cords were paralyzed!! Ever since then it was just me and my dad who took care of our family, and then, when I graduated college, it was just me as dad got sick as well. I am only in my very early twenties and the sole caretaker of my family, my two disabled parents, my sister who is a minor, and our cats and dog.  My dad’s surgery was estimated to be 120 thousand pesos- 200 thousand pesos, which is 2,345.88 US dollars at least, and 3,909.80 US dollars at most.

I have a job, I just need a little bit of help.

1 US dollar = 50 Ph Pesos We live in the Philippines,  and my dad is taking an ultrasound tomorrow to see just what they can do about it. I will try to update as much as I can. Anything extra will go to my mom’s diapers, toiletries, etc, my dad’s maintenance medicine, and my sister’s lunch money for school. Thank you and sorry for my english;

Music you’ve never heard before

Tally Hall: Band that basically made whatever they wanted until they stopped making music. really, they made hard rock, rap, and whimsical stuff all in one album. very Beatlesque.

Jellyfish: 90′s band i don’t know much about, but theyre similar to Tally Hall

Jack Stauber: The guy that made that Peppermint song and Buttercup(oh, I’ll do it sometime). he’s got a youtube channel with short little songs paired with claymation, vhs-type animation, irl video, all in one and more

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME: They’re an indie band with a new-wave type feel. got dire lyrics and catchy, fun tunes.

Tori Amos: Alternative and punk artist that started in the 90′s and is still going. she’s got a lot of slowish songs and some upbeat ones; I recommend “Raspberry Swirl.”

Bryan Scary (and the Shredding Tears): the man usually makes music ALL BY HIMSELF, and occasionally adds other people. he’s got the piano playing of Elton John and the voice of Billy Joel. sounds like 70′s pop.

Cosmo Sheldrake: like the more whimsical brother of Hosier.

Beach Bunny: girl who writes tumblr aesthetic songs; gives you nostalgia from when you were never alive.

Studio Killers: masters of party music. You’ve probably heard “Jenny.”

Lemon Demon: Heard one of his songs. So groovy, I melted. same guy that made potter puppet pals. genius.

MIKA: reincarnation of Freddie Mercury.

Mother Mother: Haven’t heard much of them. “Oh Ana” is good for you if you’re interested in cool chords and anorexia(i think that’s what it’s about).

He’d apologize for startling you and introduce himself before asking to join you. You’d talked with him for a few hours before he actually noticed your tail flip idly causing the water to splash, he’s shellshocked for a moment but is able to recover in time to keep up his charm

He brings up his pirate days, but depending on your reaction to learning of this- he makes it clear that he’s never had ill intentions when it comes to merpeople and this is actually his first time meeting one

Muriel:

He was getting water from the slow river by his hut when he sees you sitting on a flat rock by the riverbank

Wouldn’t approach right away, he’d watch from a safe distance for a bit before you turned around to actually acknowledge him first

After learning his patterns and when he’s down by the river, he’ll start to talk to you more little by little and even form a special bond with you because you’re always there to greet him

When he hears rumors have spread about a merperson living in the river near the forest, he’s quick to chase out any person brave enough to venture out in search of you. He’s very protective of you and cares for your safety since he knows humans can be cruel

In her off time, she likes to wonder down to the docks to imagine a life of piracy, being out on the open ocean, and returning to Nevivon someday. When she sees movement in a seemingly empty fishing boat, she’s curious

When she sees you trapped in an unattended fishing net, she’s quick to cut the line to set you free

She barely even knows you and you only just met her but she’s already in love with you

Picnics with you under the docks and swimming with you while looking for treasure and adventure under the waves
