The thing I love most about “invisible string” is that while it is a song telling her story with joe, it’s also a song that we all have the chance to apply to our own lives. The idea of an invisible string pulling you to someone could be for a friend or a lover but you get the freedom to tell that story

alright i have a theory about the album cover. buckle up let’s go

so all of her previous album covers have been close ups of her and focused on her, and all the songs on the albums have been stories about her life, hence the focus on the close up of her

this album, she’s further away and it’s not a close up of her, it’s more focused on her surroundings, and she says these songs are stories not necessarily about her life, but about things she has observed around her, hence the focus on her surroundings more than on her

I was listening to Folklore and my sister-in-law came home and was asking what I was listening to. She is about to turn 10 and had heard some of Taylor's music on the radio but none of Her older music. Her sister had given her the Fearless album but she thought that was Taylor's only album. So I am currently showing her Taylor's albums and my favorite songs from each one ♡ I've been waiting for this day to come, we are going to have so much fun listening together!

Finally watched Taylor Swift: City of Lover and is it wrong to say i cried when she sang Lover? Hearing it live, just took my breath away and it really looked like she was looking up to where Joe would be during most of the song <3 I am so happy that after all these years she has someone to share all of these memories with <3

So I’m a little slow to jump on bandwagons but I changed my phone theme to something even more romantic (although if I can figure out how to mix this and the sparkles I had as my last theme it would be perfect). 

I’ve had the Amplify: Women’s History Month playlist saved to listen to later. Well it’s later and I’ve been gardening on my break from work today. Well these 3 songs came up and it seems so crazy and awesome that these songs are also on Taylor’s list!  Breathe (2 AM) and All You Wanted have been songs I’ve been singing since middle school. Ah the teenage years where I was overwhelmed with emotions that singing either of these would bring me to tears. They also inspired me to write poetry (I could never put music to the words).

“If I get it all down on paper it’s no longer inside of me threatening the life I belong to.”  I’m thankful for writing and music for getting me through some of the hardest times in my life where there were no tears left. I was numb and the only thing quieted everything was writing everything I felt and having songs on repeat. 

While I might not write everything I feel anymore, I still find myself using music as a coping mechanism and there’s always some type of music that is playing everyday, even if it’s just my husband singing. 

These women captured such raw emotion and I could live it through their music. This is why these songs mean so much to me and they transport me back to the past.
