I wanted a belly button piercing ever since I got into Britney’s music at 13. My mom said it’s a pain to take care of and based on my research, I have to agree. It can get easily infected and I don’t wanna deal with that.

I still want a belly button piercing, maybe I should check out some clip on options.

I should really get back into photography. I took a photography class for my art degree and it was a lot of fun.

I want to photograph my cosplay friends, but I gotta figure out a time to meet up. Maybe even do some TikToks in cosplay. That would be fun.

Who is my number 1 inspiration and why is it Britney Spears?

Generally, I’m inspired by women musicians. I listen to more female artists than male artists.

Britney definitely is my top inspiration. She gave the world some iconic bops. Toxic? Classic. Baby One More Time? Iconic. Oops I Did It Again? Amazing.

What really draws me to Britney as a person is her ability to rise above negativity. She had a public breakdown in 2007 amidst personal struggles. Then she was put in a conservatorship in 2008 and lasted until 2021.

I don’t know how Britney is doing for sure, but all I can hope is that she’s doing okay. Her music has helped me through some hard times and I have her to thank for that.

Another thing about Britney: everyone has nothing but nice things to say about her. She was at the top of her game in the early 2000s and yet she was so down to earth. If I ever make it big, I want to be down to earth like her.

I was retraumatized when I wrote this song in 2020. I guess I really need this song right now, I hope someone in the future feels empowered when they hear it.

I met these guys in a garage rock band at a campus event, they’re pretty cool. They’re the ones that helped with the production aspect while I did the singing and songwriting aspect.

Scars we carry

I don’t know when I’ll start writing Scars We Carry. Even more uncertain is when I’ll start serializing it on AO3.

I just posted the prologue to Shitennou: Angels and Demons Part 1 last Friday. That first part was written in July 2022, and the idea for the series was birthed in March 2022.

I guess I’m the type to iron things out so minutely since I like to know what happens from start to finish. Even then I change my mind as to how things go, but I have the basic plot in mind. I just have to figure out how I’m gonna get from point A to point B.

Here is what I know about Scars We Carry so far:

The protagonist is Rika from the Paldea Elite Four

Rika has some past trauma (which I won’t disclose right now) which has been affecting her mental health, so Geeta forces her to take a vacation.

Rika stays with her mother Rhea and grandmother Gaia in Unova. Both women both have their own traumas.

Team Rocket is causing a ruckus in Unova by stealing shiny Pokémon and doing whatever it takes to get what they want. How does Rika get involved in the shiny hunting crisis? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see.

Giovanni is dead. Taking his place as Rocket leader is…a secret! I know what his name will be, but I won’t spoil it here.

There is a romantic subplot in which Rika meets a guy at a nightclub. How is he involved in the shiny hunting crisis? Teehee, you’ll have to wait and see.

The story takes place in 2024, two years after Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (I sort of have a headcanon as to when the Pokémon games take place, but I excluded Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon because I consider those games to take place in an alternate universe).

So it seems as though I got a lot figured out, but I got a long way to go.

I’ve been doing a lot of mental health art lately, probably cuz my headspace isn’t that great and I really don’t wanna be here mentally.

My art project idea for class is a wearable art piece resembling a straight-jacket with paper plate wings as accessories. It’s supposed to be a reclaiming of my power as I was thrown into mental hospitals twice as a teenager.

RANT - TW: SUICIDE

My college campus occasionally has homophobic Christians protesting on campus. I haven't encountered them but God this makes me so glad I left the Church in 2021.

I grew up in a Catholic family. My mom in particular is super religious. She wasn't the most understanding of the fact that I really wanted to leave the Catholic Church because of its total hypocrisy among other things.

My mom sent me to a shitty Catholic high school that made me want to leave the religion even more than before. This Catholic school in question presented themselves as all-loving but they are anything but that.

I even attempted suicide because of a lot of shit going on in my life and what did the school do? They covered it up and kicked me out just to save their asses. Fuck them all.

The Catholic community around me failed me. I hate that the Catholic school I went to still acts as though they are all-loving and accepting. What they did was unacceptable, and I will call them out on it all in due time.

To whom it may concern, fuck you from the bottom of my heart.

Does anybody have good 80s media I should reference for my story?

The story in question is called TimeCrash! and it involves the protagonist Marina (my persona) accidentally time travelling to 1983 Manila, Philippines and meeting her mom as a teenager.

I kinda wanna dip my toes into 80s media for research purposes, but I don't know where to start.
