The Alpha just shook her head and kept following her. It was obvious that trying to talking things out with War was near impossible right now.

Instead, Sienna just kept her mouth shut. She would follow War to the range, but keep a distance between them both.

She just couldn’t take a hint. No. It wasn’t even a hint at this point. War was full blown telling her she didn’t want to be around her right now. “Fuck off,” she called over her shoulder, already feeling a headache coming on. Though Sienna was just about as stubborn as she was, so War doubted she’d actually listen to her.

Something bugged her about this stranger. Whether it was a good or bad feeling – that was still to be decided.

"No, it's fine. I still have about ten minutes left." She admitted and decided to stay a bit to try and figure out who this girl was.

Sienna had met a lot of people during her time with the MES, and it was possible that she had met her then too. If not, that didn't matter.

Maybe now was the time to start making some new friends, and to try and move on from her heinous past.

After almost colliding with another girl thanks to her endless thoughts, she stopped and nodded.

“I’m sorry…that was my fault…” Sienna mumbled. When she looked at the girl she had almost run into more closely, something seemed almost familiar about her.

Had she seen this girl during her time in the MES?

No, she never saw other MES. They were all scattered across the United States, and even if they were in the same state or city, they never saw each other.

Or did they?

“Don’t worry about it,” Julia offered, thankful for the moment to continue studying the girl. With any luck, she might pin her in like a butterfly andaffix a name beneath her. It seemed like the only way this familiar, anonymous girl would make any sense.

Grim as the idea was, it still held fast. Solving the mystery of the alleged stranger’s identity now was the only way it wouldn’t eat her alive, the kind of thing that came back at three am like food poisoning. 

What mission had she seen the girl on?

Perhaps it was best to move along now, leave it in the past, and later realize the girl had once lived down the hall from her on some long surveillance mission, or had been the daughter of some influential target. It suddenly became all too possible that this girl could remember Julia before she remembered her.

“Well, ah… I should not keep you from work.”

"And I'm assuming from your cockiness that you can?" She asked and chuckled lightly.

"Yeah, until it gets you drunk. Then it causes even more problems."

"Believe me, after the shit I went through, 'taking it easy' is a lot easier said than done."

She shook her head and sighed.

"Neither. I'm just trying to survive."

She yawned as she pushed her drink away.

She nodded and left the drink alone.

"I'm here to be take out all my anger and loneliness on desperate, single men."

"Touché." Sienna replied as she took another drink.

"I'm Sienna, by the way."

Sienna sighed and accepted the drink. This was never a good day for her either.

"Sorry. I'm just not a fan of Valentine's Day."
