New headcanon: each braid ren has in his hair represents a Jedi/force user he’s killed. Operating of the idea that he was a Jedi who got kicked out of Jedi school (right age to have gone + force sensitive) his braids could be an inversion of the padawan braid and its meaning and since he carries that resentment, he turns their symbol of hope/life/light etc into a cruel joke mocking their death

Armitage kills General Enric Pryde while Yanna is in her healing coma. He fucking snaps while committing treason to get Yanna her prosthetics, because Pryde finds out. He's forced to cover it up via blackmail and record forgery.
Posting so I don't forget.

So, I'm changing a major part of the Sequel Trilogy. A small deviation to the overarching story, which ironically doesn't change much of the major plot points. Not really at least.
I'm completely removing Rey as a character from my rewrite. As in, she's entirely just not gonna be a character anymore. A lot of the plot beats that originally revolved around her are going to be replaced with Finn instead.
I'm also debating on doing a gender swap on Finn, or perhaps making him a transgender male. Just to add more to that diversity that Rey and Finn were originally meant to be in the first place.

Armitage is the only sane one in this trio. Yanna is a feral cat that doesn't understand social cues. And Kylo is a angry gremlin who bites people.
All I can imagine is Armitage holding Yanna against his hip, while in his other hand Kylo is attached to one of those child leashes trying to fight a pidgeon while being tugged back by Armitage like a disheveled mother.
Armitage Hux knew he fucked up the moment he realized he had fallen in love with two Knights of Ren who both acted like children in completely different ways.
Kylo Ren: Throws a temper tantrum whenever he doesn't get his way. Impulsive and hot headed. Blatantly abused his powers with the Force simply because he can. Easily pissed off and whines about anything that makes him uncomfortable.
Yanna Ren: Doesn't understand subtly in the slightest. Never learned the concept of personal space. With either threaten to drown, snap your neck, or simply immolate you if you irritate her. Gives you the silent treatment whenever she's bored.
Armitage sure as hell has his hands full with these two.

Kylo: So, when did the whole fucking the Supreme Chancellor thing happen?
Yanna: While you were gone, hunting relics. If you were paying attention you would have noticed the attraction even before that, kriffing hell you're oblivious.
Kylo: I'm sorry you never had any romantic or sexual relationships with anyone I didn't expect the equivalent of a banta rat in human form to be appealing to you.
Yanna: And I didn't expect you to like burrowing scrap trash, BUT HERE WE ARE!

Galactic Love Day
Narrowing her eyes, arms crossed, and at a loss for words, Yanna stared at the holoscreen. Vibrant pinks and flashy greens stared back, threatening to cause bodily harm to her.
Was this a joke?
Yanna had never heard of this "holiday" before. And the idea of it made her feel hollow. Life Day? She could understand its significance, although changed quite a lot after the Empire's fall. But this? What was the purpose of this?
A guttural humm escaped her as she bore mental holes into the projection, wishing she could rip up the image, tossing the peices aside.
"Stare any harder and you'll go blind." A voice called from beside her, their footsteps echoing closer. Armitage Hux neared into her view, her gaze finally flicking away from the colors to look at her counterpart.
"Is this your doing!?" She sneered, more bemusement leaving her voice that perhaps necessary.
Armitage rose a brow, crossing his arms across his perfectly iron uniform. In fact everything about his appearance today screamed "perfect", not even a strand of hair was out of place.
"I am Supreme Chancellor, I thought best to give the wider Galaxy a new holiday to help ease our push into Core Space." He explained, turning his full attention to Yanna.
Except she was still hunched over, a feral look in her eyes.
"You named a holiday, today? The second Centaxday of Elona? Armitage, it's my bornday." Yanna hissed. "It isn't even a full month since the Winter Fete."
Armitage chuckled, looking down with a soft smile. He shook his head and sighed. "What better day to celebrate?"
"Celebrate what!?" Yanna cried, garnering the attention of a few passing Stormtroopers, who glanced their way, before moving on.
"A day of rejoicing, tending to those each person loves, cares about deeply. A day to feel enjoyment with those closest to them." Armitage explained, stepping closer to Yanna, and lifting up her fallen face with a gentle hand.
Stunned Yanna was at a loss for words. She inspected Hux for a few long moments, just taking in his appearance and words.
"You, named a holiday on my bornday..." She began, voice low, barely above a whisper, "A day about those people care for." Yanna went still as the idea began to sink in. And when it finally did, her eyes went wide. Pulling away from Armitage, she huffed, looking away at a nearby wall. Her face hot, but not from embarrassment, but from a flurry of emotions she could not name.
"Would you prefer it another day?"
"No!" The speed in which she replied shocked her. Did she truly feel affection for Armitage's gift? "No... today is, it is a fine day for such a holiday." She finally choked out.
Yanna didn't have to see Armitage to know that his face lit up, a wide grin split across it.
"May I show my gratitude for your acceptance?" He stalked closer, now mere inches away from Yanna. One hand rested softly against her shoulder, the other her waist.
At first she wanted to pull away, but hesitated, before leaning into his embrace. Gently, Hux leaned into her view, a question lingering on his lips. Yanna watched him from her peripheral, before exhaling and finally giving him her full attention. Carefully Armitage tugged her arms away from her torso, taking each mechanical hand in his own.
He tilted his head, smile still as large as it could be. Yanna paused, unsure exactly what he was asking. Then he leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her cheek, then her forehead (causing him to reach up on his toes to do so.)
The moment lingered as they sat just enjoying each other's company....
"Are you two done being a couple of Nerfherders?"
The two snapped their gaze over to the source. Kylo leaning against a hallway wall, his face scrunched up in what could only be described as an affectionate disbelief.
Yanna's eyes narrowed and she instantly pulled out of Hux's hold, marching up to Kylo. When he saw her approaching, murder in her eyes, he pushed himself off the wall and began a sprint down the hallway. Yanna, of course, pursued shouting all manner of profanities at him. Hux only watched, shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

"Our relationship, it is more than professional?"
Tumblr media
Softly, slowly, Armitage pressed his lips to Yanna's, almost missing as she leaned in hesitantly. His hand reached up to cup her face, chilling fingertips against her cheek. Yanna's shoulders slouched, her elegant posture finally breaking. And when he pulled away she was left wordless.
"Does that answer your question, Nia?" An unfamiliar grin spread across Armitage's face, not one of smugness like he usually has, but a genuine and gentle smile.
Yanna didn't know Armitage Hux could be gentle, it's against everything the man is, crass and demanding. Is this the same man that sneered and barked orders at her when they first met?
Straightening, she stared down at the male, taking in his frame, hand now moved from her face to her shoulder.
"How.... Why did you do that?" She asked softly, tilting her head slightly.
"Why do we do anything?" Hux chuckled, pulling his hand away and resting it behind his back. Narrowing her eyes, Yanna stepped forward, her height letting her lean over Hux. Instinctively he backed up, making him stumble into his desk. Spotting an opportunity, Yanna slammed her hands on other side of Hux and on the desk, now directly above him, hovering.
"Answer the question, Armi." She hissed into his ear. Shuddering Hux caught her gaze with a just an intense one.
"No, to answer your first question, I doubt it ever was. And secondly, that kiss was an elaboration of that question."
"Elaboration?" Yanna pulled back slightly, confusion crossing her face. Hux couldn't help but smile.
Instead of answering he placed a hand on her neck, pulling her closer again until their lips were brushing. "You aren't a subtle person Nia," his breath was warm on her skin, "I figured my confession shouldn't be either."
Icy steel eyes held deep blues for a hesitate moment, before they both closed and indulged in a kiss again. This time Yanna reciprocated, moving her lips in tandem with Armitage's. When they both pulled away they were breathless.

Here are some notes on how Yanna helps change the overall story of the Sequel Trilogy & some more overall changes I'm adding
Yanna watched Hux carefully as he interacted with the girl, Rey. Helping him stay shielded from her prodding, she was strong in the Force, but it was pure raw power, untrained power. And that set Yanna on edge.
Yanna is a former Jedi turned Dark Side user, she is not however a sith. She has no tendencies toward the inherent dark nature of the Dark side except intrusive thoughts. Sometimes she acts on those thoughts, but most often she ignores them, let's them simmer inside her mind, tapping into them when she uses the force.
Yanna's Punishment from Snoke when both she and Kylo fail to recapture Rey is what truly begins the spiral Hux, Yanna, and Kylo go through to overthrow Snoke. Kylo cares about his best friend more than anything and seeing her hurt like that sets off a switch in his mind. Hux is often accompanied by Yanna when they are summoned to Snoke, the two have a mutual understanding to care for one another in his presence, thus he too feels rage toward Snoke for what he does.
None of the trio know what StarKiller is, aside from a weapon of sorts, until the General commanding it is killed (by Snoke) and Hux is forced to take over. Its then that he realizes it's a constantly moving Armada of experimental Dreadnoughts, that skim wild space, built to be able to Glass entire planets in one hit. (Glassing in SW is extremely scary, it turns dirt, plants, ect. into glass, Mandalor once had it happen)
Yanna and Kylo knew each other as children, and she watched Ben's subtle turn to the Dark Side. She was there when Luke confronted Ben about why they were leaving, Luke made a mistake in his choice of words that set Ben into a rage, accidentally knocking out Luke and destroying the academy.
Rey doesn't escape the first time she is captured by the First Order, instead she is interrogated and kept under surveillance by the Intelligence Minister, Hux. During Rey's time there she starts to learn the inner workings of the First Order, and sees loose threads, ones she pulls on that start to unravel everything that Snoke built. Hux doesn't stop her once he realizes, although warns her of the danger.
Hux himself is mostly disgruntled by how the First Order operates under Snoke. He dislikes how similar they are to the Empire, which in turn makes half of the Galaxy fear and hate them. Once he's appointed Supreme Leader, he begins work on ending and being new objectives. One being sending relief aid to war torn planets and finishing the promise to end the Wookie trade. He also dismantles the stealing of children for soliders. Slavery has no part in his Galaxy.
Snoke himself is also not Palpatine. In fact Sheeve isn't alive at all. The only thing that remains of him, is that the First Order was a contingency plan if he died. Snoke rather, is one of two options I'm playing with. A: just a random Sith who was never intrested in Jedi Sith war and only appeared seeing an opportunity to gain power. Or B: Mace Windu, who not only survived Anakin and Palp, but Coruscants Core, thru sheer use of the Dark side of the Force, and is now using any means necessary to make sure another Yoda and Order 66 doesn't happen.
(Speaking of Yoda) sorry to my Yoda fans. But Yoda is often looked at as an evil figure in the eyes of everyone except Jedi. How his fear of the Dark side and return of Sith clouded him. Jedi are now considered warriors because of him, that his insistence on teaching Jedi to specifically kill Sith, but also teaching them to be peacekeepers was in opposition. Many when talking about the rise of Vader blame the Legendary Master Yoda.
The Resistance is not a small band of remaining New Republic members, but half of the galaxy. The First Order likewise, is not an Empire 2. Rather, they send in Imps to actually peacekeep on planets that were ignore by the New Republic, such as Jakku. The fighting between them begins as a Cold War, as the Galaxy chooses between which one they'd rather have. With the New Republic being the original aggressors. However, many in the outer rim prefer the First Order, because they are actually helping rather than ignoring them. The first fight that begins against the two is when Snoke orders the testing of Starkiller on a New Republic planet.
Luke's disappearance in this version is also different. Rather than him hiding, he actually ended up crash landing on Ach-to after his ship was damaged in the destruction of his Temple. Luke develops severe amnesia and forgets who he is for a time. And with no way off the planet, he just stays there, unaware of what's going on. It's only when Rey finds and presents Anakin's lightsaber that he regains his memories. Rey asks to be trained, but Luke refuses, stating "I can not train Jedi." So Rey takes him back to Leia and the Resistance, but she herself doesn't stay, taking up Kylo's offer of training now realizing she has no other option. They train in secret together. When not training Rey, Kylo is training the Knights.
The throne room scene is basically the same, except Hux and Yanna are there too, the four of them having planned the coup beforehand. In preparation for this, Yanna has been training Hux on how to use a lightsaber, modifying one of her's so that it doesn't require the Force to be use once passed of to him. When they come out victorious, Kylo doesn't give his offer to Rey, instead Hux asks her to call off the Resistance. Asks for her to arrange a truce between the two factions.
Said truce has high tension between both sides. The first order brought Yanna, Kylo, Hux, and Phasma, and in a show of peace only one ship lands, however others are on standby if it turns bloody. While the Resistance has well, everyone. They talk about who has the better government, and Hux even suggests, now being the Leader, that the two merge together. Leia is against the idea, still having repressed memories about the Empire and destruction of Alderaan that she never fully processed. Then shouting begins, and there's solid arguments on both sides. But by the end of it a blaster is fired, thus starting a battle.
The end of the movie is basically the same, except less angry Kylo at Luke. However, Luke does still die here, sacrificing himself so the Resistance can escape the superior weaponry of the First Order. Rey however is at odds with herself. On one hand her friends are in the Resistance, on the other she genuinely saw potential in the First Order as a government. Unsure of what to do her instant choice is to escape with the Resistance.
By the beginning of the next movie, the First Order has been making genuine good progress and faith with the people of the Galaxy. Enough so that some people in the New Republic have been voicing concerns about their leaders. Hux is loved by many, although that love is still often because of fear. Yanna stays mostly by Hux during this time, acting as his Right Hand, while Phasma is his Grand General. Kylo however has been at work with the Knights, tracking down Rey. His bond with her helping in that front.
The Resistance however has been hard at work, building up bases and their numbers, still trying to undermine the First Order. Leia spends most of her time finishing Rey's training, leaving Poe in charge alongside Mothma. Finn is working hard training new recruits and acting as head of Intelligence, knowing the most about the First Order. Rose is now in charge of the pilots since Poe no longer can. She helps Poe and Finn realize their affection for each other, bringing them together.
Rey spends a lot of time away from the Resistance, still unsure if they truly are the right choice. Instead she let's the Force guide her, by now she has a grip on both the Light and Dark side, becoming truly equal and balanced. She often leaves to find and explore old ruins of Force users, Dark and Light.
It's at one of these ruins that she meets Kylo again. He greets her by engaging with a quick spar between them. It's not aggressive or meant to harm, but rather see how far her training has come. Rey fights him and when she gets the upper hand clearly wining and with opportunity to kill him, she doesn't. Instead she smiles at him and offers her hand, helping him up. They explore the ruins and talk about what each has been doing over the past year. Kylo explains that mostly he's been searching for her, having left Hux completely in charge, helping him when he needs, but more engaged in following the Ren and finding more Knights to train. He offers her that title, but she refuses. She then explains that she's been learning everything she could about the downfall of both Jedi and Sith. And she explains that she doesn't think either should return, that neither were right. Kylo wants to rebuttal but she sends him a look that shuts him down. He only sighs and while not agreeing doesn't object. It's not long after, both get a sudden feeling in the back of their mind. Something dark, a Warning.
Hux in the meantime has been once more setting up a meeting between the New Republic, talking to Poe at times. When he denies at first, Hux caves and sends Yanna directly. Yanna doesn't know where their base is located, but is able to latch onto Finn's force signature and follows that. When she walks into their base she's instantly surrounded by blasters. She explains why she's there and is restrained, her lightsabers taken. Poe and Mothma both deny the request again, locking the three in a debate, but when neither party can agree they call it off. Yanna is detained there, unable to leave because now she knows where they are.
While there Finn feels a tug to speak to her, and when he does she finally reveals to him something he's suspected. He is Force sensitive. She offers to train him, but he's suspicious of her intentions and makes a joke about how he'd rather eat a Hutts behind. She only shrugs and leaves the option available. The next day comes and Finn still feels that itch to speak to her, so he returns and begins questioning her. She answers everything he ask in ernest, slowly gaining his trust. Again the next day is the same he returns to her cell and this time asks why. Yanna flat put states she has no ill will toward him, toward any of them, that she just sees another force sensitive in need of guidance and wishes to help. Hesitantly Finn agrees, but states she has to stay in the cell, she only laughs amused.
So, Yanna and Finn train, starting with meditation, similar to how Luke originally trained her. Then she guides him on levitation. And eventually she instructs him on lightsaber stances, him using her own sabers. This is done in secret at first, but then Leia is made aware and storms in to confront Yanna. Surprisingly Yanna and Leia spiral into a long conversation which ends up with them sympathetic towards each other. That's when Yanna looks her in the eyes and says, "Let Hux have his audience. Listen to him, he just wants peace." Leia lets out a long sigh and then nods.
Then we cut back to Rey and Kylo, the Knights trailing behind, taking a liking to Rey instantly. The Knights specifically have relaxed in their ways, Kylo being a new source of inspiration for them, for he follows the Ren, but in a way they didn't original plan. The black feeling that both Rey and Kylo got leads them to the Sith homeworld, or what they thought. As they inspect closer they realize that the Sith race wasn't native to this planet, but conquered it hundreds of years prior, because of the raw Force that emanates from the planet itself. They stumble upon a large mural, that depicts the return of the Sith once the grand Prophecy has been fulfilled. Instantly Kylo remembers Vader, The Chosen One. But? If the Sith were said to return at the fulfillment of the prophecy, where were they? Its then that Rey's eyes go wide as she uncovers a hidden part of the mural. The Prophecy wasn't The Chosen One, but when the Last Jedi Falls. (Nudge nudge wink wink)
We then return to Hux, who surprisingly is at the Resistance base, talking to Leia who this time is genuinely listening to him. They talk of about the effects of either merging or acting separately as allies. Its then that suddenly Rey and Kylo rush in, Rey is surprised by Hux but shakes it off quickly, warning them of the Sith. As she does the sky darkens and a rolling of thunder shakes the ground. They all exit the building to see massive ships that haven't been used since the days of the Old Republic. They seem to linger too long because a bombardment of explosions goes off nearby, having been dropped from of the fighters. Hux looks to Leia who nods determined and its then that both Resistance and First Order fight together against this threat.
Hux calls in all his troops to the planet, Yanna right behind him as they run to the frontlines. Its here we see Hux pull out a weapon, at first glance it's a lightsaber, but then its easily realized in fact it's a proto saber, connected to a small box hidden on Hux's belt. The two are joined by Finn, who at first pulls out his blaster, but Yanna sends a disappointed look his way, before tossing him one of her own. He looks shocked, then grins.
Kylo, Rey, and the Knights start the first push as the Sith begin their ground assault.
Rose and Poe lead the battle in their ships beside Phasma.
Leia doesn't necessarily join in, but holds down command, sending new information to the troops as it comes in. And sending out distress signals to anyone who will answer.
For a long while its chaos, as they don't nearly have enough manpower to fight the entire Sith. Then a booming sound stops the fighting for a moment as they all look up, and there in the sky is hundreds of ships, from both the First Order and New Republic. They've won before the Sith even have a chance.
Once everything settles and everyone is obviously okay, Hux, Leia and Poe all come together. Hux calmly asks once more for a ceasefire and alliance, to which both Poe and Leia agree.
Roll credits.
Not everything as you can see is extremely fleshed out and things are still subject to change. But overall, this is the direction I wish to take this rewrite in. I hope you stick around to see it happen.

"I remember when you first joined us at the temple."
The silence had been broken, as Yanna pondered over her own words, thoughts crawling around her head. The day had been long, between training, planning attacks on the Rebellion, and keeping up their troops, neither of them seemed to have time for calmness.
And yet, here they were, at first silently staring out the large window within Ren's chambers, the blackness of space staring back at them. A cold settled over their shoulders, chilling them into unconsciously taking a step closer to one another.
"It was my mother's idea." Ren responded, stoic in the natural way he's become. It was always curious to Yanna, the slow shift in her kinship with Ren. How his old childishness shifted into something darker, less whimsical, and more akin to a nightmare. "My father of course, hated the very idea. Not a fan of the Force and its ways." He added, almost as an afterthought.
Yanna hummed, her gaze shifting from mindlessly watching out the window, to look at her counterpart. They both were indeed still so young. Neither were even past 24 years. If she tried hard enough she could still see the faint laugh lines on his face. "Oh how our master loved you." She muttered.
It was true. Luke Skywalker took to his nephew wholehearted, acting as if Ren was his own son. The praise and admiration Luke would give him outmatched every one of the younglings. Not that anyone minded, Luke was kind and attentive to them all, but to Ren most of all.
"I was his nephew, of course he did." His words came sharply, but with no venom. "Mother would have killed him if he didn't." It was a joke.
Neither of them laughed.
"I felt alone there." Ren paused, eyes flickering to the floor. "I felt out of place."
Ren, wasn't unpopular at the academy, but he wasn't exactly popular either. The others often would watch him, look up to him, want to be him. But never his friend. Infamous, but not someone you could just talk to.
And Yanna was the same. Everyone knew her. Yet, none wanted to stay around her. Tricky subjects always popped up when she was around. Her parents, dark wandering thoughts, immeasurable strength that always seemed to appear at the worst of times.
Luke really did have his hands full when they two met.
"Do you still remember when you almost broke my nose during a training session?" Ren asked, glancing at Yanna, whose face lifted slightly, the smallest smile twisted to look more like a smug smirk.
It wasn't uncommon for the two to be sparring partners at the temple. Most of the other kids were quickly beaten by the two individually, so Luke paired them up to train together. The only two to match each other in strength and style. They normally ended things when they were both covered in burns and bruises.
Yanna was always best at getting the upper hand via outmaneuvering Ren. But Ren could always win when it came to overpowering her. His endurance matched with her speed made for a deadly combination. She fought with finesse and he with powerful displays of strength.
"It would have been the least of what you deserved for burning my hair."
They both smiled fondly.
"Maybe, but you had tripped me and left me in the sea earlier that day." Ren retorted.
The two together often ran off away from the academy, away from the temple to spend time down at the beachfront. No one else would bother them there. Or they would hide deeper in the planet's forest, a simple area where a pond of water sat still until they came along.
Best friends...
Yanna turned to lean against the window, eyes closed, her breath heavy. Ren watched, before mimicking her, leaning next to her side. Their shoulders brushed each other.
"The Prince and the Orphan girl." Yanna whispered. "What a pair we make."
Hesitating, Ren leaned in closer, before pressing a quick kiss to her forehead. She scoffed.
A kiss to the forehead. An action she often did to him when they were younger, after helping treat any of his scrapes and burns.
The silence returned. This would be the last calm moment they would receive in a long time. Their actions here wouldn't be the same as tomorrow. As tomorrow they will intercept the Rebels. They will attack.
And nothing will ever be the same.
Nothing will ever be how it was when they were young.
Best friends turned to blade brother and sister.
At least they know who they can trust...

Lady Yanna's Knighting
Wet and cold soaked into the fabric of her clothing as the rain beat down against her armored frame unrelenting. Breathing heavily, she tried to stay calm, relaxed, under all the gazes that were cast her way. Each one individually attempting to burrow their way into her mind. Like thousands of tiny parasites trying to dig inside her brain. Clawing and clicking and the noises never seemed to end. Relentless in their need to see everything inside her memories. They would tear into her skull, rip out pieces of her one small chunk at a time, feasting on her every thought and action. And what could she do to stop it? She could burst out in rage, strike them all down where they stood. How dare they try and use her! They had no right to worm their way inside!
"Enough!" Ben's voice, or rather Kylo's voice as he's begun to call himself, rang out over the deafening rain and digging. It boomed in that augmented way due to his new mask and everything just stopped. No longer was the mind numbing chattering in her skull.
So, she glanced up at him, as he stood above her, and though she couldn't see his face, she knew. His gaze was locked onto to her, watching in earnest, like all those times before at the Academy when they meditated together. It was so strange to Yanna, she knew this man, this boy as a youngling, struggling to sit still and meditate. A child who eagerly paced before his turn at a training session. The child she helped nurse the burns from the results of the training duels.
"Clear your thoughts." She heard him again, however this him his voice didn't rattle out from behind his mask, irritation at the clear distrust from the others. No, this time it was from within. His voice radiated out from every corner of her mind, only for her to hear, and it was relaxing.
Inhaling sharply, she allowed herself to calm. Tensing then releasing each muscle in her body then regaining her posture. By now, she had even forgot that the rain and lighting was raging on around her. She forgot there was others standing by, each one with a morbid and sadistic yearning to test her until she could no longer go on. No, instead, all she could focus on was the man in front of her.
Benjamin Solo, Kylo Ren, her master, her best friend.
"I am prepared, my Lord." Shakey, her voice came out in a shutter, which thankfully, only Kylo could hear. This was her knighting ceremony, this was between her and Kylo. It wasn't for the others. He has trust and faith in her, so in return she'll give him her undoubted loyalty. Bowing her head, she finally did indeed feel ready.
The twang of a saber switching on clicked, illuminating the ground in front of her with a dull red hum. She heard the unstableness of Kylo's Kyber crystal. The crackling neared her left ear and she saw the tip of the saber out of her peripheral vision. There was no heat, but she knew that the moment that plasma touched anything, an enormous amount of energy would be released. The thought caused her to tense, but when she felt the prodding of Kylo's force inside her again, she relaxed.
"Repeat after me," Kylo began, voice softer than before, but still standing firm, unwilling to show any favoritism to her in front of the others. "I, your full name, pledge my life, abilities, and loyalty to the Knighthood of Ren,"
Yanna hesitated momentarily, allowing herself a small and secret glance up at Kylo, then at the other Knights. There was no backing out now. Steeling herself, she rounded her shoulders, lifted her head, and stared directly into the eye lenses of Kylo's mask. If she focused enough, she could see his eyes behind the dull black transparasteel.
"I Yanna Telavani, pledge my life, abilities, and loyalty to the Knighthood of Ren,"
Kylo's chin lifted slightly. "I, your name, will dedicate my life to the ways of the Dark side and to the Brotherhood of Blades,"
Confidence leaked out of her, as she moved from resting on the ground on both knees, to kneeling. Her voice raised in clear determination.
"I Yanna Telavani, will dedicate my life to the ways of the Dark side and to the Brotherhood of Blades,"
As she continued to stand her ground, voice laced with pure power and conviction, Kylo began to smirk under his mask. And Yanna knew this, she didn't have to see it, she could hear it in his voice. He too was proudly watching Yanna take up the Knighthood.
"I now renounce my past, stripping away my old titles and names, I am separated from the chains of my old life, and step into my new one,"
With one final intake of breath, Yanna spoke, her voice loud enough for the other Knights to hear, too loud to ignore, forcing them to pay attention to her. Not that they haven't been, but now, now, she could feel the weakness fall off her with each word she recited.
"I now renounce my past, stripping away my old titles and names, I am sperated from the chains of my old life, and step into my new one,"
The saber that had sat hovering above her left shoulder suddenly moved, it rested above her head, then above her right shoulder. It hummed with a soft energetic song that revitalized her.
"Rise, Lady Yanna Ren, as a Knight of Ren. Rise as my Blade Sister. Rise as my second in command."
Standing tall on her feet, Yanna held her head high, refusing to break sight with Kylo, who in turn refused to as well. There was a silence between them, lasting for roughly three seconds. Before Kylo let out a sharp unfamiliar laugh, it was shocking. As Yanna hadn't heard Kylo laugh since they were younger.
The joy didn't last long, as his laughter died out as soon as the other Knights rejoined them, forming a circle.
There was a round of congratulations and welcomes, the Knights mostly just being respectful, although, a few sounded genuinely interested in the sudden fearlessness in Yanna.
And honestly, she was too. It seemed to appear so suddenly, so rapidly. As if it had been locked away deep inside her and was just now set free. Intense and unwavering, she inspected it.
Like a cloak it covered her, masking her entire being in a mix of heat and unfiltered energy. She felt it flow through her, like blood, but much more rapid, much more vibrant. It stung, but it wasn't painful. Beginning at her fingertips, then spread throughout the rest of her body, congregating in specific areas. Her throat, her chest, her hands, and her temple. It buzzed and danced. And that's when she noticed that everything around her seemed more clear, as if a filter around the universe was suddenly lifted.
Instinctively, her hands roamed to the sabers that hung from her belt. Unlatching them, she held them out, one in each hand, feeling their weight, testing their balance. They felt familiar, yet new, as if they too had changed. Igniting them, she watched in stunned awe as instead of the bright teal blue that normally emitted from them, a violent and brilliant red beam glowed magnificently.
Testing if she still could remember, unsure of herself after all that, she stepped into her fighting stance, causing all the others to take a few steps of their own back leaving her room, and she swung.
Everything felt so extremely natrual, never had it felt that way before. Before, Yanna had to consciously direct which way the blades would go, now? Now it felt as if she didn't have to think. In fact, she didn't. Each movement she made was fluid and without flaw.
What could stand in her way now? Who could stop her? Nothing! Nothing could strike her down, nothing could oppose her so long as she had her blades and Kylo Ren by her side.
Power.
She felt powerful.
How could she blame Kylo for wanting this feeling? For craving the pure ecstasy she felt at just a simple thing.
She wanted more.
Holstering her lightsabers, she straighted up, turning back to face the others.
Pride
From everyone in front of her. Each one glowed with it, and the brightest one of all was Kylo.
Benjamin Solo, Kylo Ren, her Master, Blade brother, and best friend.
"Welcome Lady Yanna Ren, welcome to the Knighthood."

Lady Yanna Ren: Commander of 706 battalion "Bonebreaker"
"And as for you," Smoke growled out, his voice echoing off the walls deafeningly, "you lack control. You'll learn."
A dull pain slowly grew at the base of Yanna's remaining arm. It started at her wrist, before crawling up her forearm with sharpness.
Loudness began to crowd her, and it took her a moment to realize the sound was her.
Screaming...
She was screaming
Tears flooded her eyes and the agony made everything dizzy. Focusing her gaze on the source of her suffering, her left arm, the only on she had left was turning black.
It looked like a parasite that was tearing her tendons and muscles apart from the inside, a mass of inky blackness that spread across her skin, just underneath the flesh.
Her throat stung with rawness and she didn't think she could make anymore noise, but when something sharp latched onto the area right above her elbow, her cry came out suddenly, broken.
It circled around her arm, like thousands of tiny serrated blades tearing into her flesh.
Then something snapped.
The crack was the loudest thing Yanna has ever heard. Then suddenly it was a series of cracks like something had shattered. And Yanna realized it was her arm, as it fell limp.
Her bones
All her bones had broke
Everything faded dimly, darkness threatening to overtake all her senses, and Yanna was very willing to let it come. Have it consume her. Simultaneously all her nerves were on fire and numb, she felt exhausted.
But she also knew she was nowhere near done.
It didn't take long for the blackness to cover the entire area, alongside it came the sickly sweet smell of rotting flesh. And soon after, her skin began to peel away, blood ozeing out in pools of crimson, reflective against the rooms lights.
Doubled over in pure broken torture, Yanna lay there, so overwhelmed by it all that she couldn't do anything. And something cold was pressed so deeply into her mind, keeping her away, sending shockwaves of ice throughout her body whenever unconsciousness tried to take hold.
The pain never seemed to end, and Yanna feared it never would and she was destined to lay here for the rest of eternity.
But finally
Finally
It ended.
But only because there was nothing else left for the corruption to feast on. Opening her eyes, so slowly, she opened her eyes. There, where an arm should have been was nothing. Nothing but the left over pile of decaying flesh, bone splinters, and congealing blood. At the smell she gagged, throwing up an empty stomach, only stomach acid joining in the disgusting pile.
The burning in her throat was incredible and when the gagging ended it stung worse, the left over acid coating her throat with it's corrosion.
It was only then when she was allowed to slip into unconsciousness.
She woke up 3 weeks later inside a Bacta tank...
