Jesus also has been quoted in scriptures speaking about how hard it would be for one to enter the “kingdom of heaven” (moksha) when they are rich.

The Buddha said "First remove "I," that's Ego, then remove "want," that's Desire. See now you are left with only "Happiness.”

Why are these sages telling us this? In the end, it is about sense pleasure and desire. Some have created religion and dogma out of such statements, causing guilt and trauma for others by condemning those who struggle to forcefully release desire and pleasure, but this is not the way. A soul must be willing to release desire and sense pleasure for themselves. We all have the choice. We can continue in the cycle of death and rebirth or we can experience complete liberation.

The essence of this truth about sense pleasure and desire is the reason why we continue to come here and experience this unreality which is not home. Home is the “kingdom of heaven” or “moksha.” Some belief systems have spoken about an eternal life or bliss away from pain and struggle as heaven or higher lokhas. This is still wrapped in desire and sense-pleasure. The kingdom is beyond even such things. It is complete liberation and dissolution back into the void where none of it exists.

Notice how some may feel as they read these words. The ego does not wish to cease to be. That is what keeps it all going: desire. This desire can be for good, spirituality and the highest knowledge. Even these things are separation and through desire of them cause suffering. This is why a spiritual soul who has left it all behind (this would include relationships, money, status, power, career, etc.) is often closer to this bliss or moksha than the one who is rich and possesses it all.

Also btw trump recognizing only "the two biological sexes" harms intersex people too. I am a researcher of sex and it's affects on disease, and sex is far more complicated than "two sexes" and it always will be. Sex is multifaceted and there are far more than two binary sexes. Keep that in mind too. Don't fall into bioessentialism as you fight for trans people and intersex people.

My favorite part about being sapphic is when the things I love about other women become things I love about myself. One day I was tracing another woman’s stretch marks in a dim bedroom light. And then, seemingly by accident, I was doing it to myself in my bathroom mirror.
