First post! :>
Here’s the guide I used today.
Interferences:
I kneaded and mixed by hand, which was mentioned in the guide.
I greased my bowl with PAM original canola oil blend.
I also greased my baking sheet with the spray because I didn’t have cornmeal and the first time I made bread it had stuck badly.
I had to let it rest with the cover for way longer because I was baking another bread.
The other bread went horribly wrong and I had to throw it in there with it, meaning I was opening the oven door quite a bit.
Thoughts on the process:
The process was simple enough, I felt fairly confident making this bread. While it did take some work to get it into the loaf shape, it really wasn’t bad at all.
Thoughts on the bread:
It actually ended up looking kind of like the picture! I couldn’t get those big slashes, but if I could, I think they would’ve looked very similar to the picture.
It’s a dense, but not doughy bread. Despite having literally nothing added to it, it’s a very tasty bread that could be perfect on it’s own or with a bit of butter. The crust is crunchy, but not too hard.
I think it would be a very reliable recipie.
Rating:
4.5/5: It’s a reliable, simple, tasty bread. The texture is really nice, and it actually cooked perfectly. Perfect for people that love bread or just about anyone else (unless they don’t like dense breads-)
Would I make this bread again?
Absolutely. It doesn’t take a ton to make, and the result is amazing.
