Letters for Amber
Some of you have asked me these past few days whether a project’s underway to support Amber. Myself and a few others who have a way of directly reaching her have decided to put one together. We’re accepting any letters of support you’d wish to send her, online or physically. Afterwards we’ll pass them over to her.
The letters will have to be reviewed before they’re forwarded to Amber to make sure they aren’t hateful or threatening, as I’m sure many of you know she attracts a great deal of vitriol, so be conscious of that if you’re sharing something you wouldn’t feel comfortable with someone else reading, as I’m sure many of Amber’s supporters can relate to her experiences.
If you’d like to email Amber a letter: [email protected]
Preferably in a PDF format.
If you want to mail one physically: PO Box 101525, Arlington, VA 22210
We’re also accepting any letters in support of Amber’s attorneys, Elaine and Ben, who’ve done a terrific job with the case in spite of the uphill battle they’ve had to fight, both in the court of law and public opinion. As they have separate offices, if you’re planning on writing to either of them, it must be individually - so no “Dear Elaine and Ben” letters (unless you’re watching The Graduate).
The email for the Ben and Elaine letters: [email protected]
Preferably in a PDF format.
And the P.O. Box is the same as the Amber one.
If you choose to mail a letter, make sure it’s not too big - so no packages, gifts, or anything large in size, as they’ll be going to a post office box.
The deadline for all letters is July 12.
Amber’s attorney Elaine said on the Today Show Thursday that Amber’s planning on appealing the verdict, though there’s no telling how long that process will take. In the meantime, here are some things you can do to support Amber:
Follow her on Twitter and Instagram; like her posts. It might seem trivial in light of what she’s up against, but there is strength in numbers and it would help even the slightest bit to mitigate the damage Johnny’s done to her career and reputation, especially as much of the entertainment industry is dependent on social media engagement these days.
Post your support for her. Trust me, I know it can be a hassle with Johnny’s swarming fans. I’ve been dealing with them for six years now and it never gets any easier. But the more people publicly voice their support for Amber, the less power his cult has. It can be as simple as a hashtag - #IStandWithAmberHeard. It doesn’t really matter, just speak up. There are countless people who want to but don’t want to be the first to say something. Be that first person.
If you have any questions, you can reach out to myself (@pcd2009 on Twitter; @popculturediedin2009 on Instagram); @drugproblem on Twitter; @AtheistjLiz on Twitter; @heardverse on Twitter; and @shxnerusso on Twitter.
Thank you everyone who’s been speaking up for her. I know attention spans are lightning quick these days, so don’t let her story fizzle out. Keep fighting!

so anyway i love that marvel literally confirmed loki as bi only to in the next episode make him fall in love with his quasi-sister from another universe who he has known for about 12 hours max at this point
love the fact that they would rather show us a straight relationship with extra spicy incestuous vibes by confirming that both variants grew up in identical looking asgards, presumably were raised by the same parents and had a very similar childhood before we ever get a decent same sex relationship in the MCU
love that they made sylvie female just so the audience would easier accept that two variants of the same person would fall in love bc its straight and straight people fall in love thats just what they do even if they have great friendship/sibling rivalry chemistry but romance makes it weird if u think about it for more than 2 seconds
love that for us

tbh if you have a problem with female-only spaces…you’re the reason they exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i thought trans activists claim gender and sex is not the same thing? then how are you homoSEXual if you are attracted to people with the same GENDER?
Ok so for the record,
“Lesbian” was a term coined by homosexual females so that they could tell people with penises with three words that they’re not interested. That’s the purpose of having words to describe human sexuality. We don’t make stuff up because it sounds cool. “I’m a lesbian” means “I’m not interested” to anyone without a vulva.
When you say that some lesbians can like penis, you take away the meaning of the word. You appropriate our language. If you don’t care whether your partner has a dick or a vulva as long as they’re wearing a dress, just make up some mogai term to describe it, like “femininitysexual”. That’s not what lesbian means. Don’t appropriate lesbian and gay terms. It’s homophobic and hateful.

strange and weird that me not shaving my legs & leaving them in their natural fuzzy state and really never thinking about it is seen as an active choice, and maintaining nakey bald legs with careful weekly upkeep is seen as a default

Is it possible to “beat” mental illness? Or does it depend on type/circumstance?
“Beating” mental illness is actually the norm, not the exception. Most people who have a major depressive episode never have another one. 80% of people who survive their first suicide attempt never make a second attempt. 93% of Borderline Personality Disorder patients achieve remission. Up to 74% of people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder achieve significant clinical improvement in their symptoms, and 20% achieve full remission. Half of Generalized Anxiety Disorder patients achieve remission after the acute phase of treatment. Even disorders with relatively low rates of remission - bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoid personality disorder - generally become milder and easier to manage as you age. Psychiatric symptoms tend to peak in your 20s and generally drop off as you get older, especially if you seek treatment.
This is why the narratives we use to talk about mental illness matter so much. Right now, the dominant narrative is that mental illness is “an imbalance in the brain” and that it’s largely something that people are born with. There are upsides and downsides to this. The upside is that it promotes the idea that mental illness is not the ill person’s fault, and it helps us understand that mental illness can impact anyone, regardless of their life circumstances. The downside, however, is that it’s sort of given us this idea that mental illness is inborn and unchangeable. People have taken on the idea that “that’s just how my brain is”, when the reality is that, for most people, mental illness is less of a stable trait for them, and more of just a shitty thing that they are going through for a little while. The idea that mental illness is just “in your brain” also erases the very real connection between your life circumstances and your mental health - while it’s very true that a wealthy person in a happy marriage can become depressed, it’s also very true that living in poor conditions and being in an abusive marriage can be the cause of depression, and that improving your life circumstances can lessen or eliminate mental health conditions.
If you have a mental health condition, it’s very important that you not resign yourself to the idea that you’re going to be like this forever. Chances are, you won’t. Even if you have a mental health condition that is associated with low rates of remission, it is possible to make leaps and bounds in your functioning, and to get to a point where managing your condition becomes second nature to you. Our understanding of mental illness is improving every year, and new therapies and treatments are becoming available all the time. If you seek treatment and do your best to manage your condition, you have every reason to believe that you will make huge improvements.
Hope this answers your question!

this is literally the worst pro trans argument I’ve ever seen. Comparing it to astrology which everyone knows has zero proof or scientific basis? Genius move thanks, keep saying dumb things so more people can peak
Imagine being born early may.
Based on established criteria, that makes you a taurus.
So you know it, everybody knows it, you’re a taurus, and everybody around you hold you up to taurus standards.
When there is a joke of some sort at work, it’s like “yeah but you’re a taurus so…”. And you want to laugh, but somehow it gets stuck in your throat.
Because for so long, you read the astrology books and magazines describing the signs, how the people of each sign were like, with big words and general traits.
And… you don’t fit well. It’s not like there are a couple that are not exactly you, it was like that at first, but at some point it become most of them were far from who you are.
So you feel awful. You feel guilty. Because, even if you were born in may, born as a taurus, frankly you suck at being a taurus. Sometimes you even feel your existence brings shame to all of the taurus. Because, as much as you try, you’re just bad at being a taurus.
So you try to change yourself. To read the books and focus on the traits and make them your motto, what you want to lean toward.
But you fail, and it makes you feel miserable.
At some point, you got curious, despite what you were told, enough to check what the other signs were like. And at some point you discovered geminis were a bit more like you. Or you were a bit more like them. You understood more their big words and general traits.
Some nights, when you feel really bad, you indulge in the fantasy of “what if I was born a gemini, not a taurus ?”. And that fantasy grows and grows, because it feels so good.
And then you start to doubt. Maybe you’re just a character that were designed to be born a gemini, and not a taurus. That there has been a problem, that you were born too early or too late. That would make sense. After all, you really are more of a gemini, inside.
Slowly, seemlessly in a way, you start to present yourself as a gemini, no longer as a taurus. You don’t expressely lie on your birthday, but… you let people assume you were born a gemini. And quickly you discover you’re a better gemini that you would ever be a taurus. And that makes you happy, that makes you feel valid.
And that feels wonderful, finally.
So when you meet new people, you present yourself as a gemini, and don’t acknowledge in front of them you have been a taurus ever again. And since you have so many traits of gemini, nobody really doubts it.
Sometimes some asshole will bring out your birth certificate and tell you’re a fraud, and you will feel awful. Then you’ll go out again and keep your chin up, because you know you’re a gemini, and that asshole has no right to do that.
You’re a gemini. Some sort of bug in the system made you be born in may but you’re a gemini.
You just know it.
That’s how you feel, when you’re transgender.

women: We are afraid of men with penises who are hell bent on using our bathrooms because we don’t want to be assaulted
TRA: I’m afraid of nice women who fight for women’s rights. Kinda sus. Honestly the worst people on earth.
I’m honestly more scared by “nice” TERFs than openly mean ones.
When you see people on this site who aggressively harass people, it’s easy to know they’re dangerous. You can block or report them.
But it’s the “nice” ones you really have to look out for. The ones who focus on lesbian positivity (albeit catered to “gold stars”). The ones who speak out against domestic abuse. The ones who address homophobia.
When new people enter the queer community, unsure of their identity, they most likely won’t talk to aggressive people because they’re scared. But they’ll find blogs that focus on “kindness” and feel welcome. Then they get brainwashed by TERF ideology. Pretty soon these people are convinced they’re doing the right thing by “protecting women” or whatever lies that are being spread.
So, if you’re new to the queer community, unsure of your identity, or just want to make new friends, always be careful of who you’re talking to.

and you just know how they are not going to report it as a hate crime, even though he killed almost only women, because biological sex is not a protected characteristic
6 Asian women were gunned down by a man today at massage parlours in Georgia. Femicide + racism. I am already seeing leftist men and asian-american “activists” link to red canary song, a pro-pimp, pimp advocacy organization, and talking about how we need “decrim, decrim, decrim” as if they have any idea what the fck they’re talking about. yeah, we need to decrim women and eradicate johns and pimps and brothels.
Especially the Asian male leftists. Just shut the fck up.
Women are dead and men are still thinking about their dicks. Women are dead and the pro pimp organizations still can’t shut up about how johns need to have free reign to rape and hurt women. Just one day please. Where was red canary song for all of the women who are trying to exit?? The left is over. I know I say it everyday but it really is.
Sorry this is not coherent lmao. I am livid

how is it ‘self sufficient’ of a man to watch porn?? He would be self sufficient if he only needs his hands and his imagination, this way he is literally relying on an industry based on the global sexual exploitation of countless women to make his dick happy

....interesting....
