Abstergo Industries is a multinational corporation, you've probably heard of us. As the Chief Executive Officer, I control Abstergo's current relations with external, regulatory and political organizations. He knew it all too well. They were crushed, disassembled, shut down and stored away, and even burned. He used to be fascinated with their pseudo-pain. 'Why are you afraid? You don't fancy you have feelings, do you?' he used to say to them. He would mock them and torture them until the minute they left to be recycled, just so they would die shaking.
It was inhumane. It was cruel. Looking at Ani now, it made him disgusted with the way he treated her kind, and even the thought of those things happening to her made him feel so incredibly lonely that he went to her and held her tightly.
“I won’t let them do that to you, I promise.”

She seemed so dedicated to her creed, and even though Alan's dedication to anything had faded away, he couldn't force Ani to leave if she truly didn't want to.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"

Her words gave him a spark of hope. He let go of her hands and walked towards his 'contemplation' window.
"Perhaps in a few days? I would need to find someone who could operate on your hard drive and take out any gps systems and tracking devices inside. I don't want to risk anyone coming after you. Especially Andy. He'd come searching for you the minute he realized you were missing."

"Do you want to run away with me, Ani? All you have to do is say the word and I could find a way to make it happen."
He squeezed her hands unconsciously as he waited for her reply. "Save me," he screamed inside himself. He looked into her eyes and wished he could have said those words aloud, but just hoped that maybe she would understand.

"You know that won't work. I don't believe in the things the Assassins fight for..."
He stopped and took Ani's hands.
"Run away with me."

He tried to resist her, but he was too weak and couldn't fight it. He held onto her and buried his head into her hair.
"I feel myself going insane. Can you sense it? I wish it weren't true, I wish I could say I was stable... But how am I to run Abstergo anymore? How can I know I'm safe outside if I'm not even safe within myself?"
He stopped himself abruptly to kiss Ani again, and then he said, "I missed you so much."

"I wish I was," he answered, covering his face in his hand and looking away in shame.
He felt his heart twist inside, and his vision started to become blurry from the tears that were forming in his eyes.
At one point, Alan Rikkin would've forced those tears to leave. He would've changed his emotions just like he could change a computer program; but he wasn't the same anymore. If he were the same man, he would've held Ani down and fucked her at that moment, but he couldn't. He struggled with himself, but he cared too much to let her get in trouble with her brotherhood. He wouldn't let her ruin her future on his accord.
But he was just a man, after all, and he had missed her so terribly. She was the only woman who ever tried to understand.
"Oh, Ani!" he cried.

For a moment he thought he was seeing things. It couldn't be real. Alan slowly approached her like she was a ghost. "Ani," he whispered. He raised his arm and gently pressed his hand against her cheek, and he stroked the side of her face and moved back her hair. She was real. This was no ghost.
"Ani."
He breathed out her name as though it would remove all the weight from his shoulders - as though it would save him from the tendrils of insanity. Then suddenly, he felt his heart drop. She looked more different than she did before.
"Ani?"
It was raining outside - but it always seemed to rain when he looked out the window. Alan forgot what it was like to be happy; and in the hiatus that occurred following the death of his closest friend and most hated enemy, he could barely lift the corners of his mouth to form...

Too Long
It was raining outside - but it always seemed to rain when he looked out the window. Alan forgot what it was like to be happy; and in the hiatus that occurred following the death of his closest friend and most hated enemy, he could barely lift the corners of his mouth to form even the slightest smile.
Of course he was lonely, but he could never admit it. He had nothing to live for, but he would never admit it. His desires to control humanity was nothing more than a lost dream now. He had been meaning to resign, and the stacks of resumes of the eager applicants who knew the secret were piling up on his kitchen counter.
However, a part of him wanted to hold on. What else would he have if he gave up Abstergo? Nothing. Or maybe...
"Ani," he sighed.

Alan Rikkin walked through the tall glass hallways that led to one of his offices in the Abstergo of Istanbul. He was eating a muffin, and during his third bite, he felt the sensation that he had forgotten something, or more specifically, a certain someone.
"Hastings!" he spat, spewing pieces of muffin out of his mouth like some unprofessional imbecile.
Everyone nearby stopped and looked at him, wondering who was causing such commotion in their silent and stable order. One small but serious looking woman gave Alan a glare that bothered him so greatly that he was debating whether or not to announce that he was indeed, Alan Rikkin, CEO of Abstergo Industries, but he decided against it.
Instead, he ran in the opposite direction of his office and to his car. He then drove to the abandoned apartment that they had been keeping Shaun Hastings hostage in. There were still security officers doing their routine shifts to protect the area, but no one could remember what they were protecting. A ray of hope lit the security officer's eyes when Alan walked through the doors. Perhaps there was a reason for their mundane job description.
Alan slammed open the door to the basement.
"Hastings!"
About that trip... // Current
Abducted from his newest facility in Istanbul before he could even get his equipment out of the truck.
Shaun Hastings is currently in the captivity of Abstergo.
Namely Alan Rikkin and a budding, brown haired assistant with a rather large dog.
