rewatched interstellar tonight and. humanity is saved not because we allow ourselves to be emotionally distant and rational and logical and care for the greater good, humanity is saved because of love. because one guy loved his daughter enough to communicate with her over space and time and she loved him enough to understand. the idea that there is a future humanity out there that is looking back at us and saying I love you. I love you enough to bend a dimension you do not yet understand to save you. Everything is about love.

GNOSIS OF SELF
Bismillah Arahman Araheem
Ghanood (Somnolence)
This is the starting level of meditation. When a person starts meditation, he enters into a somnolent or sleep state often. With the passage of time, the person goes into a state between sleep and wakefulness. So the person can remember that he saw something, but not specifically what it is.
Adraak (experience)
With continuous practice of meditation, the sleepiness from meditation decreases. When the conscious mind is not suppressed by sleep and is able to focus, the person can receive the spiritual knowledge from hissubconscious mind. At this stage, the person is unable to see or hear anything, but he is able to experience or perceive it.
Warood (coming, beginning)
When adraak (experience) becomes deep, it is exhibited as sight. The stage of warood starts when mental concentration is sustained and somnolence is at its minimum. As soon as the mind is focused, the spiritual eye is activated. The conscious mind is not used to see through the spiritual eye, so concentration comes and goes. Gradually, the mind gets used to this kind of visions and the mental focus is sustained. With practice, the visions/experience becomes so deep that the person starts considering himself a part of the experience rather than considering himself an observer.

Hi, Dad. You son of a bitch. I never made one of these when you were still responding because I was so mad at you for leaving. And then when you went quiet, I feel like I should’ve lived with that decision, and I have. But today is my birthday. And it’s a special one, because you told me… you once told me that when you come back we might be the same age. And today I’m the age you were when you left. So it would be a real good time for you to come back.

982) Dolly by Susan Hill
982) Dolly by Susan Hill
Date read: Feb 2017
Tumblr media
Me and my wife decided to take the kids to the library and I just wanted something small to read. So I looked around the fiction section while the kids looked at their own books. I didn’t find any. The kids had already picked their books so I went for a final desperate quick search and grabbed this small 153 page novella. My son already called the cover dreadful. It looks pretty scary.
The story is about two nine year old cousins who spend holidays at their Aunt’s mansion during a summer. The girl cousin, a spoilt brat, wanted a doll for her birthday and she got one. A haunted doll.
To be honest, there is not much to the story. There are only two main characters and it is the story of their lifetime around the mansion of their Aunt. The supernatural didn’t come for a 100 page. Only a couple of instances were scary.
I’m going to give this one a 4/10. Mainly I liked the dark and gothic writing.

Governor/Negan is back - Dream 20/2/17
What a dream. I was at my childhood house back at the city (I won't name it here) and it is in the walking dead universe. We somehow had the electricity going and the town is jolly going good in day to day activities and my grandfather had the biggest house in the city. He was like the leader. Our family stayed here. One night we saw a whole army appear on the hilltop with guns and ammo. My wife, who was having an argument with me, took my m16 (or some other auto machine gun) and started unsuccessfully firing at the hilltop. I had to pull her in. She didn't know how to operate the gun. Then he came with another man with a beard. He was bald and wore a leather jacket like Negan. He had the body of Negan with some facial appearances of Governor but he was bald and his skin was thick and brownish yellow. He had yellow eyes and his whole face and brain had bullet holes in it. It was like scary how he was breathing. He was quiet and I let him in the master bedroom where my grandfather (who has passed away in real life) was sitting on the bed with a phone in his hand. He looked up at us but kept talking in the phone with a calm voice. Negan/Governor (Negernor) waited quietly for my grandfather to finish the conversation. He was talking to Uncle Sarwar and I knew the conversation was not going to end. One instance, I just got up and started waking out but Negernor caught my arm and told me to sit back (he indicated me to sit back as he didn't speak). I said I was going to get my dad as he is sleeping in the other room but eventually sat back. My grandfather meanwhile handed the phone to Negernor who took it as my wife came in with a trolley full of tea and biscuits. Negernor looked like he was forced to answer Sarwar so he kept nodded and saying hm hm hm.

Raman Raghav 2.0 - movie review
So I watched Raman Raghav 2.0 for two...no three reasons. Firstly because of Nawazuddin, secondly because of Anurag and thirdly, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews from this one. I enjoyed the film and I will try to tell you the reasons. The story is about a psychopath murderer who just murders people. That's all it is. Below I'll explain it with spoilers. First of all, the 2 hours 13 mins film could cut down to 1:45. Especially during the first half, there are a lot of moments when a lot of time is being spent idling around. Like for example, Nawaz checking the village lady out took about five minutes of staring and looking, I get the point, let's move on. The film is like that during the first quarter anyway. Apart from that, the acting and the music was superb. Now spoilers. Even the music right after Nawaz kills his sister can be justified. What you need to think throughout the film is that Nawazuddin who plays Raman is a cold blooded psycho murderer who doesn't think or have mercy. Then he meets his soul mate at the end. If you keep that mindset in mind and watch it, you'll enjoy it. Just face it, there are bad persons in the world and bad attracts bad. If a cannibal meets another cannibal, chances are next time they will both eat and party together. If someone likes The Wheel of Time then I'd be interested in talking to them. Same with bad people attracting bad people. That's the whole point of the film. I loved Nawaz's acting throughout the movie. His first scene, then locked up scene, the sister chapter, the lohar scene, the end scene, all of them were first class. I also enjoyed Raghav's rough scenes. Very intriguing. Also the cinematography, I don't need to say it. The name of the director says it all. I would give this a 6.5 out of 10. Could do with a lot of trimming and tightening. Anurag could do it. He is a fine fine director and writer.

Suzies became alive - Dream 14-2-17
What a dream. Suzies are the lines that connect the truck to the trailer. The trailer was in our yard with stuff on it and the tractor truck unit wasn't there for some reason. Me and my sister were finishing the shift and we went to disconnect the lines and man, the lines became alive. The yellow and red lines plus the blue electrical line because alive and start thrashing like some weird Japanese tentacle movie. It was violent. Me and my sister ducked around the intelligent wires which had a mind of their own. The blue line which was still connected to the trailer was pulling the trailer towards the garden but we didn't want it too. So we put two ropes to the side of the trailer and pulled back the trailer. Half of the dream was this tug o war between us and the wires. Sometimes it would pull the trailer an inch towards it but then we would do the same pulling it towards ourselves. Until our dad came and what he did was he tried to disconnect the blue lines and free the monster but it was difficult and strong. The monster wire whipped him out of the sight and continued to pull. It didn't try to attack us both because we were out of its range. But dad managed to unscrew the blue line so it for disconnected and that was a bad decision. Once free, the wires leapt towards us and we scattered. I went under the trailer where the wire kept trying to touch me. It was scary as hell. Then finally after a long time, dad sliced the monster in half with his sword. It took a lot of time for the monster to die. It kept thrashing and moving for a long time then it died.

Raees - movie review
So I watched Raess last night over the period of two days. Actually I had the opportunity to watch it when it came out but my brother and sister were watching Breaking Bad in the other room so that took preference over this. Anyway, I’m a bit fan of Nawazuddin Sadiqquie; I like Mahira Khan and I wouldn’t mind watching a good act from SRK himself.
Over the film was enjoyable, especially the first half but I didn’t get one thing. What was the point of the movie? Especially in the last half where Raess goes through all the phases too quickly and you’re left wondering, right he won the election too. He did so many things and everytime he gets them right, regardless of his acts. I mean he killed a politician in his own muhalla and then the same muhalla voted for him to be elected . And lots of other things then you’re forced to think the point of the movie. Was it a gangster epic? It certainly didn’t have Gangs of Wasseypur feeling. Was it a Robin Hood style movie? Was it a Vastav style movie? I just think the overall story was so loose that it lot the point. Mahira Khan was the for a show piece. She didn’t help in softening Raees’ heart if that was her attention. The whole movie was a mess, plot wise.
On the other hand, the writing and the script was fabulous. 8/10. The acting was really good especially the chemistry between Nawaz and SRK. There’s a bit where Sadiq (Raees’ friend) tells SRK in code word that he shouldn’t come back to his house because Nawaz (police officer) was here. Nawaz was standing at the back and the way he acted was just superb. I love him. The fighting sequences were good. Though a bit violent but they were good. I liked the running scene where Raees chased a goon on the rooftops. And of course Mahira Khan, I actually watched the movie for her mostly. She did a superb job in the movie.
Overall I would give it a 5/10. It had no good songs to my liking except the Laila one and I really like how they shot that going back and forth with the action and the song. Well directed movie but with a flawed plot.
