All the books about writing say that you shouldn’t tell people what your story is about early on when you start writing an original piece, so I’m gonna follow that advice, I’m afraid.

I’m totally nerdy enough that I’m wearing my Apollo 11 t-shirt and my space socks to celebrate the SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch.

my parents don’t often call me unless it’s an emergency

and I’d already spoke to them earlier today so you can imagine my concern when they kept calling me at 9pm at night and sending me messages. I was a little panicky. 

Except all they called for was to tell me that the I needed to watch the livestream of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Flight test. My stepdad was crying and emotional.
