This reminds me of when I was 14 years old and I told my mom that I thought I had depression because I wanted to commit suicide, and she ignored me, the next day I was having breakfast and I was eating bread with margarine and she told me "If you want to die, it's better to kill yourself instead of eating stupid things"

one thing about Astarion that I think is interesting about him is that he was both victim and perpetrator.

Yes, he was abused by Cazador. But not by the victims he brought him.

He didn’t lure their victims back by being helpless around them. He manipulated them, and led them on, and broke their trust and for some probably also their hearts.

Trauma victims sometimes replicate the behaviors displayed by their abusers. It doesn’t mean that Astarion is a fully evil person or “as bad” as Cazador, but it does mean that he was both victim and perpetrator. It’s complex.

It’s something he needs healing from. And that doesn’t necessarily mean being soft with him only.

A post-game Astarion will likely overstep boundaries and will be toxic every now and then, especially in a relationship. Being supportive means not only cuddling him and stroking his hair. It also means telling him to cut this shit out. It means consequences for abusive patterns he (unknowingly) taps into.

He needs clear boundaries and an adjustment of his behavior he will likely fall back into again and again for the rest of his life! That’s trauma for you.

In no way are there any pdf’s relating to any wizard who may or may not be residing on any coast
