Final Music video
By now we had learned a lot of stuff but now cam the parts of adding elements. At first we fixed the color contrast in the clips we had experienced due to the use of different cameras. We needed all of them to be in the same color. So we used  Constant power.  We used “Highlights shadows” in order to enhance a dark clip. We also used “Colour balance”, “Saturation”, “Brightness” “Contract” and “Hue” options.
Tumblr media
After doing that we started going through video again and again to see what needed to be fixed. After  a couple of view we realized it didn't have that music video touch. So we decided to add a title to it like in all other music videos.  We looked at different styles and these two attracted us the most.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We did add a few extra effects. For instance in the starting we added fade in to the tittle to give it a cool look.  We unlined the original audio and added sound effects to the music for instance the sound of the school bell. Which lit up the faces of the kids. Although we did keep some audition for instance to show the amazement of the kids we kept there scream sounds.
Tumblr media
Using the  rate stretch tool we increased the speed of the some of the clips of the narrative.  To be Honest our  ending was very abrupt thus to fix that we added the element  Blur to it. Which would blur into a black screen with the production team name on it. After that we merged the blur and fade into create a very ever lasting look.

Rough cut
This was the first time we had ever used Premier pro. Which was harder than it looked. We weren't familiar with any of the tools.  All I had an idea was of adding clips and removing them. So after sorting out all the clips. We got onto doing our work.
Tumblr media
Selecting a New project, We started to drag clips and sorted them out in positions. So the rough cut basically  just contains clips in order. Although after a few experiments I did learn how to trip the clips but it still contains a lot of jump cuts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a link to the Rough cut video on YouTube.
https://youtu.be/X7-Apk9oKPU
First cut
By this time we had  an idea of how things worked now. Instead of just adding clips and not making any sense. WE planned it out. We took our planning and research and placed it in front of us.  Now keeping all that in mind we made progress. We used different angle of the same scenes. This time we connected the scenes in such a way that there wasn't any jump cuts of any sort.
After adding a certain clip we would stretch it and attach it to the next. Our key was match on action. Using the razor tool we cropped out unnecessary parts. We did the same for the music as we did not want the whole song so we trimmed to the point where we need it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the first cut we added a lot of clips that weren't in the rough cut. These clips were the ones that actually gave shape to our music video.

Final Website
Before making a website you need to have two things done.
A mock up of the website
The color PALLET.
Then comes the creating of the website. As we had decided on creating our website on WIX we had a lot of  templates to select from but we decided upon  a blank canvas. Which allowed us to in cooperate our own ideas on to it.The first thing we did was create our  Navigation Bar . A very essential  part of a website. The navigation bar was created in order for the assistance of the people that open up our website. Instead of having to scroll up and Down they can easily find what thy are looking for through the Navigation Bar.
Tumblr media
On the right side we placed our  Band logo. The same logo we used for our DigiPak. From our color Pallet we decided on the colors red and black. We gave links to our Bands social media and placed them through icons above the Navigation bar. Then we started making the Home page. The first thing we added was our music video, followed by sliders with news update, tours, concerts and even merchandise that we created for our Band  We further made our Meet the Band and a superscription section so that the fans can get a chance to know our band and connect with them. All of these had their own web page and could easily be opened through the navigation Bar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last thing we added was the Footer. Alongside the terms of copy right as well as  the links to Social media .
Tumblr media
We used the Group elements tool to group different stuff together that we had added through the add+ button. For instance we  had to group together the pictures and description of the Band.We could easily do this through this tool.Through the Arrange tool we placed and locked them in the position and style we wanted them to be in. The option of adding buttons allowed us to utilize our time well since that meant we did not have to crate it but instead just click on the design we liked. We wanted our website to be attractive so we decided to us three fonts so that they arent to distracting. The fonts we used were.
Kelly Sab used for the Sub title and captions
Futura used for the minor lines
Reklame used for titles
Tumblr media
Our website was done but the only thing remaining was our Back ground which was dull and white. Thus we decided to follow our theme of Ajrak and use it as the background. As it not only went with the theme but our color Pallet as well. Once that was added and we altered our colors a bit our Website looked perfect.

Color pallet of Digi pak and website
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The color pallet for our Digi Pak and website was completely based on our music video. The colors of our music video had to be in the Digipak and website as this would link back to it. Every time someone  saw it. We decided on the colors Red,green, blue, yellow, as these are all bold colors that would stand out and go with anything. Same  was with the color black.

Mock up of Website
Here is the mock up to our Website. After a intense search, looking at the different styles and themes of website. My group and I decided upon the website to look something like this. We wanted to keep it to simple but at the same time. It should be appealing to our audience.
Tumblr media
As soon as you open the link to the website the first thing your eye falls on to is the Band name ( Raaftar) / the logo. Which is on the left side. While on the right side is the navigation bar.  This will be easy as the people will not have to  go to so much trouble finding what ever they are looking for.  All of the stuff mentioned in the Navigation Bar will each have individual web pages. Accessed by just a click. Under the header is a promotion package  for our New single. We will attach our music video along with its YouTube link..
Our website will mostly contain the elements present in almost all music videos such as  the news updates, Sound tracks tour etc. One thing we did do out of our path was that we created Merchandise of our band. Each on of these have separate boxes.. At the very end is the subscription offer.

Key of  Features of a website
In today's time as the world is progressing things get easier and easier. Just like that creating a website has gotten easier. People who create a website now have freedom to design as how they desire. Although there are some key features that need to be in the website in order for it to be liked by the people. These key features are basically there for the help of people in locating what they want to see.
The key features of a Website are:
Name/logo: The name of the Band and the artist are usually the first thing that is noticed on the website. Thus it is usually written on the very top above the header in bold. The Logo is usually next to this or present on the header next to the menu bar.

Slides/ slider: Images or videos of the band or artist assembled together into a slide show.

Store:  Basically contains the merchandise of the band or any product of the artist.
Awards: A list of all the awards or nominations.

Website construction site
For our website we decided to work on WIX ( www.wix.com). After going through its website together we agreed to it as it had a lot of options. For instance it had a great variety of templates as well as the option of a Blank page. It had all the tools that we would need to make our website.

Digi Pak: Inlay
As both our Front and back side of the Digi Pak were decked out. We decided to keep our Inlay as simple as we could. We kept the Width 11 while the height 5 inches. With the resolution being 300.
Tumblr media
As we didn't use our Ajrak Pattern in our front. We decided to in cooperate it into our Inlay. Selecting the Ajrak Picture and dragging it onto the Blank canvas. Fit it to the canvas by pressing Ctrl T + Shift so that the pixels do not get distorted. Our back ground was done.
Tumblr media
Once that was in position. We moved on to making our CD. We made the outer  circle of the Cd by using the eclipse tool. Continuously pressing circle t make the perfect circle. Then clicking on layer properties and selecting color overlay. We added color to the CD. We went with Black as it was a strong color and wouldn't get over powered by the strong background. Then using the same tools made the Inner circle but instead of Black kept it white.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then opening the tab  with the Front Digi pak and placing them side by side. Using the move Tool dragged the Band logo Raftaar and the Album name Justuju on to our CD. Placing Raftaar on top while justuju on the bottom. Parallel to each other. To give it a CD look we added Polka dots as well as CD combat logo.

Digi Pak: Back
Our last job was to make the Back of the Digi Pak. The starting process was the same. The width and Height of our blank canvas was  the same as the Front CD cover 5 by 5.5 inches and resolution 300. We dragged the rulers from the side that appeared by pressing Ctrl R. From the Selected pictures  e picked the picture where both the lead were looking towards the side.Using Lasso tool we cropped them out and masked the layer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As our cutting wasn't that neat. We used liquefy tool to make the curve edged smoother. We repeated the same step for the male lead. Once this was done we moved on to the background. Opening the Inlay tab side to it, selected the move tool and dragged the Ajrak pattern to be placed in the Background for the Back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As it can be easily seen the Ajrak pattern over rules the Side portraits, which wasn't a good thing. As  the lead have to be in the spotlight. So using the rectangle tool we made one huge box around the leads. Remembering to leave some space from the sides. So that it would act as a boarder. Then by double clicking on the box we reduced its opacity to 75%. So that the pattern was visible but wasn't that bold.
Tumblr media
Since we had added colors to our front we did the opposite on the Back. We faded the colors by giving a very grayish/whitish texture to the pictures. Although the process was same of Duplicating the layer. Clicking on image then adjustment and then threshold. To get the grayish look we had to reduce the opacity to 60%.
Tumblr media
Now comes the easy Part of adding stuff for instance the track list. We downloaded the Font Big Noodle titling for the track list font. Then using the move tool Drag the logo from the CD cover and on to the very middle of the Track-list. We then added the normal stuff like the Band name, Company logo and copy rights. Essential for every Digi Pak.

Digi Pak: Front
In order to make our Digi Pak we used Adobe Photoshop CS3. At this point all three of us knew how to use it very well. We had our Mock up all done, we just needed too bring it to live. Not everything was mentioned in our Mock up so it was up to us. For instance for the size we decided upon 5 by 5.5 inch. A size that was not to big not to small. Just the Perfect size.We kept the Resolution to 300.
Tumblr media
We placed rulers by pressing Ctrl R to make a grid with fur equal boxes. Just as in our Mock up. Our next step was to add the pictures. As  We need the pictures to similar in size. We altered there size by Ctrl T, Dragging the corners of the picture inwards while holding shift. So that the pixel does not get ruined. Once w got that done. We moved on to the background. We decided to Highlight the boarder by continuing our theme of using Ajrak. Using one of our Member’s ( minal) Ajrak cloth she had. We took extreme close ups of it and using the lasso tool cropped it and used it at the boarders.
Tumblr media
Not everything on our Digi Pak was made in Photoshop. We had to go out of that software and think it out. For instance as Urdu is our language and we selected Folk as our Genre. We wanted our logo to be in Urdu. After some research we found the software In-page. This was a software that allowed you to type anything in Urdu. Thus we started attempting to make our   Logo. We created a Box in which we typed our band name Raftaar as well as our Album name Justujo. We used different fonts and then selected the best one out of them.We couldn't directly convert the Logo so in order to do that.We used Adobe illustrator, copy, pasted our logo and from there  we added it to Photoshop. Making a Square through the shape tool but tilting it a bit so it looked like a diamond. We placed it in the very center and placed our logo on it. Where it was prominent and bold. We knew the logo was in the correct position as it would easily catch the attention of people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had used lasso Tool to crop out the brick background. As we had planned something else for the background. We duplicated the image layer in order to edit them  and then selected image- Adjustment and then threshold. After that we decreased the opacity to 60%.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After this was done we thought our DigiPak was done but when we gave it a overall look. Somehow the Ajrak pattern wasn't  going so well. We started to experiment with its color.Till we found the perfect one.

Mock up Digi Pak
Before creating the DigiPak we needed to have a clear idea of the design. Thus we started to draw out our ideas on a piece of paper. After a lot of brainstorming we all finally got the perfect layout of our Digi Pak.  Although our  drawing isn't  that good but by looking at it you can get a clear idea of what we mean.
COVER
Tumblr media
This is what our  CD cover will look like. We will have our four band members pictures all aligned together forming a square. The picture will close ups of them. Looking straight towards the camera. Giving them a very dominating  look.. While researching we noticed that all DigiPaks have a particular theme that is followed through out. Thus we decided upon doing the same and for the background. We selected the Ajrak pattern.  Ajrak is basically a Sindhi cloth wore by men. Its usually in a maroon shade with patterns on it..  The name of the band and the Album will be written in bold. In the exact middle in Urdu. As Urdu  completely defines our culture.
      BACK
Tumblr media
This is the Drawing of the back cover a bit messy but not hard to understand. The back will have a side pose of the Male and female lead artist. It would look as they are staring at each other. We will continue our theme as the back will contain the Ajrak  Pattern. In between both the portraits will be the track list as well as our band name written in bold Urdu. The Back will also contain the usual stuff such as the bar code/logo and copyright information.
INLAY
Tumblr media
Since both our  CD cover and Back cover are decked out. We decided to keep our Inlay simple. On half side there will be the Ajrak pattern ( following the theme)  the other side will be for the CD. The Cd will be a simple black CD with justuju and raftaar written in Urdu. This is how our Cd Will look like.
