You can’t really tell because of the filter, but my face was super red today. H a p p y G a l e n t i n e s D a y ! I ran a lot and it felt cool or whatever. I decided I don’t like the treadmills with built in fans because it’s like hard to breathe. Whatever ! I’m going home tomorrow and I am so excited! Right now I am on a journey to try all the nut butter filled clif bars. I’ve only tried 3 flavors so far, but my favorite is the regular peanut butter filled one. I don’t even know how many flavors there are. Never ending journey!

Felt good today, did intervals! Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow. We ended up having a surprise Zumba class at my meeting tonight so I am very tired now. Tired in a good way! Dr. Dee was on TV again at the gym today, so we’re back on that Animal Planet energy. Zip zip!

Today was not my favorite. But it’s ok. I decided to have this cup of hot chocolate before bed because I was trying to make a bad day better. It’s Swiss miss with the mini marshmallows, and I made it with coconut milk because cow milk kinda freaks me out. I also made it in this mug from my best friend so that’s good too. I still exercised today. I really didn’t want to go, and I almost turned around when I was walking there. It ended up being ok and I also felt a little better. I watched the Grammys tonight and I have decided Alicia Keys is the queen of the world and I love everything about her. Tomorrow is a new day! Hoo-rah!

I did a shorter workout than usual today but that’s ok. I went to the city museum after dinner and it was very fun and involves climbing and lots of stairs. We have a sorority thing tomorrow and a profit share, and I also wanted to watch the Grammy’s, so I’m still trying to decide when to exercise. I feel a little gross today and that’s usually a sign I didn’t eat very healthy so I will work on that more this coming week. Jai ho!

I did a long bike today because I didn’t feel like running. Today I am very tired and also spent a lot of time alone. This usually happens on Fridays as I reset for the weekend. I didn’t overeat today but I am going to bed hungry so I don’t think that’s good. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and hoping for above freezing temperatures.

This is me doing the butterfly while stretching. Today was a BONUS workout because I’ve been eating poorly- Shake Shack, Sonic, oops! Sonic had 50 cent corn dogs today so I had to go. It was so good, and I don’t regret it. Ok, I regretted it a little when I was on the treadmill because I decided to just do 2 fast miles today and I may or may not have started to throw up in my mouth a little bit. ANYWAYS OTHER THAN THAT it was good times and good vibes. I biked to warm up as per usual and finished with weights also as per usual. I’m sad because Lindsay Vonn officially retired from skiing, and I think she’s just so cool. The good news is Mikaela Shiffrin is killing it, and it’s so fun to watch her ski. Now today is over, and we look forward to tomorrow.

Today I did a simple workout of walking up the Pyramid of Giza, 30 minutes on the bike, and weights. I also did core and stretching but that’s assumed. I very stressed because I have an anatomy test tomorrow. I also did poorly food wise today- there was a profit share at Shake Shack- so I have decided to add a workout tomorrow night. I don’t know why, but I’ve been feeling constantly hungry lately. Like stomach grumbling hungry. I am dreading tomorrow but “what’s coming will come and we’ll meet it when it does.” I don’t have that much to do this weekend though, so that gives me something to look forward to. In other words, I am looking forward to nothing.

I did not want to go to the gym this morning, but I still went. I read a tip from Runner’s World once that said “If you’re struggling with motivation, tell yourself that you only need to run for 5 minutes. Once you’re dressed and out there, you’ll likely want to keep going. If not, you can run for 5 minutes and head home- it still beats doing nothing.” I did a full workout, but I didn’t enjoy any of it. Oh well! I am really paying attention to my diet and trying to stay away from meat these next few days because yesterday’s meal was gluttonous, and I am going to a profit share at Shake Shack later this week. Trying to not be chubby requires some thought.

40 days, 40 nights. Annoying blister on my heel. Ate a very unhealthy Super Bowl Sunday dinner, but it was so good that I don’t feel very guilty. Feeling motivated to be healthier during this week. Always finding room for improvement!!!

I like to leave myself love notes. I can’t tell if I have lost weight. I can lift more, run farther, do more stairs, and bike at a higher resistance, but I really can’t tell if I look any different. I guess I did say at the beginning of this that it is my journey to be fit again, not necessarily to lose a ton of weight. Goals on goals on goals! I just have to trust the process! I think I am in a weird mindset today because Animal Planet wasn’t on at the gym. You win some, you lose some.

I did it! I went! It was 5 degrees out when I left. I know I will be tired later, but at least it’s because I woke up early to exercise and not because I stayed up too late. I did have to suffer through a bad episode of Reba while on the treadmill, but there was an Animal Planet show about kittens on when I was on the bike. Hopefully my classes don’t suck today!
