i had a dream that i was in this dimly lit outdated house, or was it an apartment? anyway, i smoked some weed or, did i do acid? so, like, i started hallucinating some cartoon bears and shit and i remember that because i said “oh dang im hallucinating.” and i was with two other people. So then, I was like “let me make some lavender tea! that should help.” then i remember tripping the fuck out at the kitchen table, like that feeling was so surreal and just fucking WILD lmao. I was in and out of it, then my family was added to the dream, and I kind of willed myself to stop tripping but I was still kind of woozy, then I was like “don’t worry, I’ll get the baby.” And it kind of ended like that.

i think that the reason why sharing your writing can be really scary is that writing is the most vulnerable form of art. even with visual art, i’ve always felt like there’s some level of disconnect between the art and the artist. it’s like: here is this thing i’ve made which interprets my views on the world. whereas writing is like: here is me. these are my views on the world. now just pls don’t make fun of me for them. *insert that one ernest hemingway quote here*
