Despair Pt1
Your older sister Lori was 22 and in college, your older brothers had just turned 18 but taking a gap year at 14 people often found it odd the age gap between you and your siblings but there was a reason for the 8 year gap between you and your sister.
When the twins turned four after some discussions your mothers had decided that as they were getting older anymore kids were sort of the table but after releasing they had one last lone egg left at your Mum’s lab they figured they could at least try. Lena had only made so many eggs with her and Kara’s DNA some with more of theirs than others hence your siblings.
Lori looked identical to your mum with the exception of your Jeju’s eyes, she was all brains and while still being Kryptonian had no powers. The twins, Lucas and Liam admitted themselves they were not smart but they were however The Superboy’s having all the powers of Supergirl. With IVF you always use more than needed for better chance so they used four for Lori and five for the boys resulting in twins but with you their was only one egg left so while they wished to have one more child there wasn’t much hope.
You were miracle in their eyes but you ended up being two months premature. You were small for your age but extremely muscular and they later realised you were an exact mix of the two. Your siblings often joked they were the guinea pigs and you the perfect result. You had Lena’s looks with the rare exception of one forest green eye and one bright blue one.
You are extremely smart to the point were you would challenge your mum and Lori as a toddler whilst also having powers. Being premature had resulted in a weakened immune system but after learning of your powers they had brought sun lights into the equation and you were a lot stronger and healthier.
At 5 they discovered a problem due to your premature birth which had been triggered later on and you were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Now 14 you had found a good medium and were living life to the fullest.
“Honey wake up it’s time for school.” Jeju announced as she knocked in your door before peaking her head in.
Still somehow exhausted after ten hours of sleep you rolled out of bed dramatically onto your floor before sluggishly having a shower. Sighing seeing a few new bruises- they seemed to be just appearing recently before changing into some trousers and a turtleneck, accompanying it with an overcoat. Every always joked you looked like a full grown man rather than a teen girl but you always took it as a compliment.
You floated downstairs listening out just in case your Mum was around and would see you. She had placed a rule of no flying/powers in the house but she knew you all did it slyly when she wasn’t around. Seeing Lori at the breakfast bar you shot forward at a speeding boarding super crashing into her back gently being cautious of your strength.
“Hey kid.” Lori spun her stool around and reciprocated the hug. Mom was making breakfast; bacon, scrambled eggs and toast enough to feed a family of 12 but you knew you, Jeju and your brothers would all still be hungry.
You had never quite had the appetite of your Jeju and your brothers but everyone theorised it was due to your more human attributes. It had concerned your mum’s for quite awhile before they accepted that was just how you were; some days you were starved and some days you were bloated. Having diabetes only contributed to the equation as you had to make sure you ate a balanced diet even with your ‘food swings’ as Jeju said.
Sitting down you checked your CGM -glucose monitor- that sat on under your shirt on your waistband. You levels were normal and having this breakfast commonly you knew how much sugar you were going to have and used your phone to tell your omnipod how much insulin you needed.
Mum turned around you to tell you to do that exact task out of instinct but you flashed her a cheeky smile when she saw you already doing it. Liam and Lucas came tumbling down the stairs wrestling each other before being stopped by a single raised eyebrow from Mum and sitting down politely.
It was silent as everyone gobbled down their respective food before Lori spoke up, “Lacey, what are you plans for today?”
You had been put in public school before being moved to online not wanting to move you to a year with older -not so kind- kids but you finished that and a college courses by ten so now you don’t do school rather you work in your lab or help at the DEO with the computers stuff; you were very interested in them. You and Brainy had a bond no one could quite figure out.
“I’m working on some new coding in the lab for the DEO but it’s not time sensitive.” You say knowing she would only ask if she wanted to tag along.
“Mind if i join, I’m no good at coding but I can bring doughnuts.”
After giving her a nod of agreements you went to rinse your plate before leaning heavily against the counter after black spots blocked your vision and you were overwhelmingly light headed.
“Little one.” Jeju said as she held you up having immediately left her seat to support your weight as your mum rushed around the island to you two.
They sat you back down and you put your head in your hands, they allowed you a few minutes not speaking but stroking you hair and running a hand down your back.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Mum asked seeing you lift your head.
“I was dizzy I’m sorry.”
“Are you feeling okay? your not hungry or dehydrated.” Mum insisted having just seen you eat and drink.
“It’s passed now, I was up all night working on a project maybe my lack of sleep is catching up to me.”
They were convinced, you had always been an insomniac like Lena and it had never had this consequence, yawing maybe but not dizziness. Still being cautious they continued getting ready even your siblings watched you closely before everyone headed of to their respective activities.
It was around lunch time when Lori headed off for the doughnuts she promised and you continued working that was until you became dizzy again. It didn’t pass this time though and it was accompanied by a nosebleed. Your mum should be in her lab next door and you decided your best option was to fly, it took less effort. So you floated into her lab and once she had turned aroudn at the sound of her door opening straight into her arms.
She rushed to get a tissue holding it to your nose and your head back used to this as off lately you collapsing into however was new. She thought you were hugging her until she realised all your weight was on her and after looking down to your closed eyes. Panic encased her so she pressed your emergency watch. Kara immediately joined her side and took your weight from her as Lori came in making a stupid pun until seeing the scene.
Kara flew out the window to the DEO as Lena frenzied waiting for her to come collect her.
“What happened?” Lori asked.
“She came in with a nosebleed before collapsing in my arms.” Lena sobbed embracing her eldest.
Kara returned scooping them both up and depositing them outside the medical bay of the DEO were Alex had rushed you off to.
Twenty minutes later, the red head was panicking as she looked at your results- despair filling her to the brim. Stumbling out to her sister she tried to hold in her tears finding your mum’s, siblings and her wife Kelly and daughter Jaime all waiting for news.
They stood up seeing her but froze at her state, “S-she um, she had Leukemia.”
Lena broke down immediately but Kara was frozen in confusion she didn’t know what that meant, Alex approached her embracing her as Kelly had donw with Lena and whispered in her ear.
“Cancer.”
The reaction was simultaneous as everyone began to cry, your mum’s demanding to see you. In the med bay after waking up a nurse had let it slip and you were trying to process it, not wanting to further sadden your family when they came in being able to hear them already crying outside with your super hearing.
As your mum’s came in you pat the bed on either side of you and they crammed themselves into the tiny hospital bed and held you and whispered reassurances half for you half for them.
“It’s okay, you’ll be okay.” Lena stated harshly but you just wiped the tears from her cheek and gave her a soft smile.

Suicide mission Pt 1
Supergirl !daughter, Lena Luthor! daughter
In all fairness you really should have stayed at home. But instead here you are carrying a a monster sized cargo plane which is carrying multiple deadly chemicals which were supposed to be going to a military lab until the engines began to fail.
Your mums had left to Gotham, well technically it was your Momma's business trip but your JeJu had decided to tag along for the two days. They were due home in a few hours and now even sooner since Auntie Alex had called them. However you know you have no time to lose and not a lot of options.
Now your 14 years old, never did you think death would come this soon but if the way to go was by saving millions possibly even billions then you were ready.
You struggled to get your phone out of your pocket but once you had you sent a quick 'i love you' to all your family and friends. Then you focused on the heartbeats of the two pilots- one was dead. But the other was not so in the most painful way you flipped the plane over so you were carrying it on its side- using everything you had and then ripped the man out of his seat- which is when you literally let out a sigh of relief as he had a life jacket on meaning as gently as you could, you dropped him into the ocean.
Then you flew, you flew and flew. Until you couldn't, until you couldn't breath. You realised the plane which floated off as did you. Your eyes slipped closed with your last thoughts on your mum's.
Alex was in ,y ear telling me everything about the situation but all i could focus on was getting to Y/N. My daughter. It is in situations like this when i understand why my mother sent me to earth. The overwhelming feeling to protect your child takes over. By the time I get to National City i can't see the plane in the air anymore and I grow extremely concerned.
"Alex, I can't see her!" I panic.
"S-she went to space." Alex sobs and I quickly press the button on my suit which encases it making it so I can survive in space momentarily- Lena developed it for me. I zoom up and up. I see the bold colours of her suit. From the heartbreaking sobs coming from Alex i know she has been in space for awhile but I refuse to give up. I garb her around the chest and stomach and immediately go back into the atmosphere.
I can't feel her chest rising or fall which makes me want to cry out in pure pain but I don't I focus on getting her back.
"I-I have her, s-s-she isn't breathing." I sob through the com's and can hear Alex rushing around.
I don't think I have ever been so fast as I flew to the DEO i don't even land before she is on the gurney and being rushed away. I see Lena crumpled on the floor with Alex's arms encasing her but she wasn't in a much better condition before she shoots of as she sees her niece. I stumble to my wife as the image of Y/N lifeless, skin a light blue floating in space flashes in front of my eyes.
We wait extremely impatiently for two hours- unfortunately the walls are Led so I can’t hear anything that’s happening. I am trying to stay strong for Lena but my heart feels like it has been ripped out of me. Finally, Alex stumbles out looking exhausted.
We shoot up out of are seats- Kelly, Jamie, Lucas, Liam and Lori (who all came from there respective colleges).
No words are said as we hold are breath and wait for the news.
“She is stable.” We all let out breaths of relief and more tears, “However she went 7 minutes without oxygen which means there is a high possibility of brain damage. Were hoping her Kryptonian genes may have prevented but we will manage her brain activity for the next few days. Other than that she is just a bit bruised and scratched up.
Lena fell back into her seat in despair- she knew exactly what 7 minutes without oxygen does to the brain. Kara was filled with hope until she saw Lena’s reaction and she crouched down in front of her to see her wife’s tear stained face.
“S-she’s getting b-better?” Kara said with hope dripping from her voice.
“Her b-brain i-s...” Lena cried out falling to the floor in front of her confused wife.
Two weeks later
After awhile Alex finally grew the courage to explain the extent of the situation to Kara who immediately broke down. They both stayed at your bedside- only leaving to shower and sleep for a few lone hours but never were you alone. Lena was working from a makeshift desk in your room and Kara was coming straight back after a rescue.
Jamie sat with you after school everyday and joked about all the ‘popular girls’ and the weird stuff they had done that day as well as relaying any gossip she had overheard. Alex checked on you as much as she could- exploring every avenue with Eliza who had turned up a few hours after the accident. They had tried some different mixtures of meds and your brain activity had gone up so they were hopeful.
It was a Tuesday, Lena was working on a new cell treatment as Kara read a book by your side. Jamie was due to come in a an hour or so and Eliza was coming as well. As Kara held your hand she felt the slight movement immediately and shot up. Instinctively, Lena did the same and rushed to your side, brushing your hair out of your face.
“Baby, sweetie? can you hear us?” Kara quizzed desperately.
“can you open your eyes, baby? Please for mommy?” Lena asked.
Slowly they felt their hands being held back for the first time in what felt like forever and they could barely contained their excitement but Kara quickly notified her mum and sister. They couldn’t think of a better moment in their whole lives then when your opened fluttered open slowly. A weak smile pulled at your lips.
