Oh, I agree. We don't think about it very much except for the changes of weather if we don't have kids or teach. That's so sweet. I do love fall because of the cooler weather, and just the entire vibe is really nice. Plus the trees are really pretty with their colors.

Summer went by way too fast this year. I may say that at the end of every summer. We get so busy that you blink and it’s all over with. Yes, and no. I love Autumn but I’m not ready to give up on seeing the sun set late in the evening or watching my kids catch fireflies. Then again I can’t wait for the leaves to change colors, my kids to jump into leave piles, and cuddle up under a fluffy blanket with hot cocoa.

Very nice! Oh, fall's been great, I'm so happy that Creek Fest has gone really well. We're gonna have a good story for this one, especially with all the art and the music and the food.

Yeah, I moved my darling daughter back to campus recently. How's your fall shaping up?

How has your week been going so far? I'm absolutely loving Creek Fest and I've eaten so much good food. And everyone who has performed has done a good job!

I think one of my favourite fall pastimes is enjoying a glass or three of apple cider at the end of a long day. It's the perfect seasonal accompaniment. Like eggnog at Christmas time. What's your go-to?

How’s your fall been going with the beginning of the school year and all? It just feels like time has gone so quickly now.

It all went by so quickly! Fall feels like it is in full swing now. The weather, the baked goods, the feel of it all.

Well, at least there’s an indoor pool for the colder months, right? I’ve always loved that option because it means I can take a swim at any time of the year! But right now I’ve been spending a lot of time outdoors because of all the pretty colors in the trees.

How’ve things been since I’m guessing school has started already!

Alice had been walking through town. It had been a busy day at work and she needed the extra time outside to refresh her mind. She had been lucky Audrey was a deep sleeper or her day would have been much more eventful. She hadn’t been paying attention herself, so she was just a bit startled. Her hoodie had been thick enough that the hot drink only splashed on she surface, and by now she was used to some ungodly stains. “Oh, no no… I don’t think so, at least,” she said, looking down at her sweater. “Are you okay though?”

"Holy -- shit. I am so sorry." Monique apologised sincerely to the person she'd accidentally bumped into, hot latte in hand and seeing the mess that her divided attention had created. It was her own fault, but with Freya beginning at a new school, she wanted to ensure that she could contact her whenever she required. As a result, she had earned herself a mobile of her own, though it wasn’t anything fancy. It was the best solution she could come up with considering they were attempting to start a life in a completely new destination. “You’re not burnt, are you?”

It’s been great! She’s growing up so fast! I mean, she’s still a little one but she’s definitely grown a lot. Spring is so beautiful, and we had a lovely one this year. I’m looking forward to a bit of the cooler weather, especially since it’s cozy season. But I’m also going to miss the excitement of summer. Not to say that fall isn’t exciting either!

How has it been with the baby? I imagine that has to be adding to the speed of how this year has been going, seeing her growing. I'm more of a spring and summer kind of gal, but I'm also looking forward to what all there is during the fall, events and the such! Never a boring season around here!

“She’s crawling a little bit! She’s mobile, that’s for sure. And she’s gotten to standing up too but not quite walking yet,” Alice grinned.

"It's baffling how quickly it goes. Has she started crawling yet?" Stevie missed that feeling of the firsts. "Or is she enjoying the belly time?"
