You know that my children Adam, Lian, and Sarah attend a private school for learning, and you have helped us make that possible.

Adam’s teacher lives in a camp, inside a tent on the street, near the place we rented. Because of the long distance to the school, she kindly offered to accompany Adam every day to and from school.

Ten days ago, we were shocked to learn that her husband, due to a financial crisis and his inability to buy food, went to the so-called “death trap” distribution centers to bring back some food for his family. But he never returned… he was killed. A bullet pierced his head and ended his life.

He left behind his wife, Adam’s teacher, who earns only $120 a month, and three children: the eldest, Zakaria, about 13/14 years old, and two younger ones.

A few days ago, I shared with them some of the food I had bought from your donations. But to my heartbreak, I found their 13/14-year-old son, only three days after his father’s death, standing at a small stall selling falafel (Middle Eastern chickpea patties) for $7 a day to help his mother and siblings.

For days now, I cannot stop thinking about their suffering. My heart breaks for them. How can a child who just lost his father try to stand on his feet so soon? But here in Gaza, we don’t even have the time to mourn our fathers—we think only of how to keep the living alive.

My conscience weighs heavily on me. That is why today, instead of writing about myself, I chose to write about them.

I ask you to help them, because that may at least allow them to survive and manage a little.

So, here is my decision: any donations that reach my account from the date of this post with repeating numbers (such as 11 – 22 – 33 – 44 – 55 – 111 – 555) within one week will go directly to them.

And if anyone donates other amounts but wishes it to go to this family, please just send me a message on my blog and let me know.

This is the least we can do to ease our conscience… and we beg you, please do something for them.

And know this: I chose to speak about them and not about my own family, even though we are suffering too—because I love my people, and I cannot bear to know I could help but chose silence. I do not want to be selfish. I do not want to live with the pain of knowing that I could have told you about them but didn’t, just to collect donations for my own family alone.

Perhaps we can bring some hope to the hearts of this family.. Also share this story outside of Tumblr. I always ask myself this question, if people a year ago when I created the campaign had donated to me and helped me and we reached the desired goal, I would have fled the war, I would not have lived in a tent, I would not have slept, I would not have drunk contaminated water, I would not have been afraid, but unfortunately people ignored me, the person who ignored me, are you happy now?

I created my campaign more than a year and two months ago. I communicated with many of you. I faced difficulties with the Internet in order to spread my campaign. I asked for your help at the height of the war.

Despite many attempts to publish, only a few people helped me, thank you to them, and many people ignored me.

The campaign's first and main goal was to travel outside Gaza and escape this horrific war, but because many people ignored me, I only received $5,000 in more than a year. It was too late, and the crossing was closed. We are now living inside a cage, trapped and afraid.

I also faced many challenges such as: my Tumblr account was banned more than 15 times, my PayPal account was banned twice, and they withheld $310.

As for the money I got from the campaign, we bought food and drinks and paid university fees (we are studying remotely).

I had decided to cancel my campaign and not post because this thing was making me worse than before due to people ignoring me and in a big way

But I decided to return to spreading my campaign because we are hungry. Yes, it is true that we are hungry. The entire Gaza Strip is now hungry, without any exaggeration. There is not a single loaf of bread. We have begun to lose balance due to the lack of food.

Descendants from many colonized African nations who were abducted into chattel slavery in the United States are subject to the destruction of their access to clean water repeatedly, with one infamous example being the water crisis in Flint Michigan.

When we discuss the genocide of Palestinians by Israel and the United States, we must always remember that control over water is central to settler-colonial projects.

Hello everyone, I have another campaign to share.

Alaa and her family are fighting to survive the genocide in Ghazza. Both her and her husband have lost their jobs (English teacher and dental technician respectively) and have been displaced many times since the destruction of their home.

Their tent is not effective at sheltering them from the elements, and their only food is that which has been provided by international aid programs. Breakfast alone costs them approximately $100 USD, which is unsustainable given their lack of income.

They are surrounded by disease, pests, and stray dogs. Even the tents themselves are so hot that it causes various health issues.

In order for them to evacuate, they need to raise €10,000. So far they've raised €7,232; they are extremely close to their goal.

Please, do whatever you can to help them. Anything you can donate and any sharing of their campaign will contribute towards their safety and ability to rebuild their lives.
