Day 4: Kuroko Tetsuya: Even if I’m not one of the chosen people, I’m already glad enough you’ll probably read what I’ll write here! Why I chose Kuroko? KnB is one of my passions. I absolutely love both the manga and the anime. And Kuroko is special because his character shows how even people who are not blessed with a super talent can do the difference when you work hard enough towards your goals. Among the GoM he may be physically weaker but his determination is the strongest. ^_~ - natsunoarika

Has there ever been any discussions or theories about the possibility of Inner/First/Original Akashi actually fighting for control with the 2nd Akashi that took over? That perhaps the original Akashi doesn't totally agree with what the 2nd Akashi has done and has therefore been... er, going through some internal battle to break free (who might then break free during the game or after he loses)? That'd be some major inner Akashi #1 vs Akashi #2 angst, but how likely do you think this is?

Hmm, I’m not aware of fanwork that directly takes that spin on the two Akashis, and I asked a few friends — notably jcminwell and somnia who are both more familiar with japanese fandom —  and they’re not either!   

(Obviously there’s a huge corpus of art/fic in Japanese fandom  and even at Fanfiction.net that we may not be familiar with, and so it’s possible that something like that has been done.)  

It’d definitely be an interesting take to explore in fanfic, and something I would love to see - if anyone knows of any examples that take this spin on Akashi’s personality I’d love to hear about it.

In terms of the canon it’s really hard to say; I think I can safely say of myself that I came out of Teikou Arc more confused about Akashi’s apparent split personalities than I was before I went into Teikou Arc, orz.    I mean we’re faced with a set of factoids about Akashi #1 and #2  that can be….really difficult to reconcile in narrative.
