Passed AWS Solutions Architect Associate in 2020
These tips are based on an exam taken in February 2019. Please note that the exam will be updated in March, but these principles should still help do really well on your exam.
1. Read the FAQs. [ELB, ASG, VPC, RDS, S3 & EC2 inparticular] Think about how the services would work together to achieve different goals (cost, security, reliability, performance, reducing admin overhead, etc)
https://aws.amazon.com/faqs/
2. Read the Well-Architected Framework Whitepaper. The five pillars will give you a sense of what to consider when designing solutions.

3. Get hands-on experience. Build stuff for fun!
I used both my own AWS account and awslagi.com for my exam preparation. The playground is helpful for trying out more expensive services and features because you won't incur any additional costs. It's also great if, like me, you forget to turn off an RDS instance after you're done.
4. Check out a prep/refresher course. What course you use should cater to your personal learning style and experience level.
I used awslagi.com because this site have a tons of real questions. Really so good to help you pass exam.

I also completed A Cloud Guru's prep course, which I think is better suited for someone who is already working with AWS frequently. It is a lot shorter than the LA's course but wasn't as detailed as I would have liked. In my experience, ACG's exam simulator is not an accurate readiness assessment tool. The questions are significantly more difficult than the real exam.

(Fun fact, A Cloud Guru & Linux Acadamy have merged and will be releasing a new joint platform in the near future, so you won't have to decide between them!)
5. Engage with the community. You are not alone. Everyone started somewhere.
(If you're here, you're probably already doing this, so keep it up!)
https://www.awslagi.com/ is free and open to all. Twitter is also home to a large and supportive tech community.
6. Highly recommend AWS Solutions Architect Associate Guarantee Part. This part is really so good with real questions. Make sure you can pass exam in easiest way.
If English isn't your first language, I would recommend spending extra time on practice questions/quizzes so you get used to the writing style. Pay special attention to those sneaky keywords: most, best, least, cost, efficiency, reliability, admin overhead, durability, etc.
7. Relax. You can do this.
