Just some main points from the NHK FM ‘Music Station’ interview with Die:

They talked about their 20th anniversary and Die just commented that if felt very short when they reached 10 years, now 20, soon it will be 30.

Thing they didn’t think about when they just formed the band was playing abroad. They also talked about other activities and how the way he sees DIR changed. That they will be seeking a simple sound.

When talking about the Best album Die commented some songs felt like it was some different band ‘ah we were young!’. They talked about being focused on change.

Die commented that usually best of is a collection of singles, but that might only work for pop artists, 'what about the songs that were not chosen?’, for them fans chose the songs. The choice of the band was to show 'the us now’. There’s 'relationship of mutual trust’.

The new single’s title was an idea that came from Kyo, he had few and they chose the simple yet the most impactful, something you haven’t heard before.

Die talked about the difficulty with 'simple sound’ when they have to work with the original idea that is usually quite complicated.

DJ: you said before that after releasing a single there will be an album.

But Die didn’t really commented directly on new album release. He talked about song writing and how they start to get the image bit by bit. DIR EN GREY as a band hates to be bound/restricted, so there’s no main theme.

In the end they talked about the current tour and Die comment suggests there should be more touring this year.

(I might listen again later on radiko to try to catch more, it seems that it’s my destiny to have to play with my cat every time there’s a radio interview xD)
