— Angela of Nowhere, also known as Aldrif Odinsdottir, Thor’s half-sister and Loki’s paternal adoptive sister.

Unlike in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where it is shown and said that Hela is Odin’s first born, in the Marvel Comics, that is incorrect. In the comics, Hela is Loki’s daughter, the only true fact in MCU is that Hela’s the Queen of Hel.

⇢ Aldrif is Odin and Freyja’s true first born and the heir to the Asgardian throne. Until Heven waged war on Asgard and the Queen of Angels kidnapped Aldrif in an attempt to blackmail Odin into surrendering.

He refused, and Odin used his powers to cut Heven from the other Nine Realms and Yggdrasill while Freyja placed a curse upon the Angels, a curse that sent the Angels' souls to Hel after their death to suffer eternally.

Aldrif was later on named as Angela and was raised by the queen’s handmaiden, Loriel.

— [ SO! Obviously, Angela didn’t know that she’s Odin’s first born. She was raised to think of Asgardians as her enemies. On a certain comic, Thor and Angela fought until Odin intervened.. ]

Yes! Shocking! Odin kneeled for Angela. MCU!Loki is shaking.

𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐋𝐀 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐂𝐔 ?

— Interesting question.. Let me show you why.

Yes. This is a true wlw relationship. Angela and her lover, Sera. Sera was once killed and her soul was sent to Hel. As all of you remembered, Freyja cursed the Angels. In other words, Sera is stuck in Hel for all eternity. But Angela loves her so much that she’s willing to dethrone Hela just to remove the curse and free her soul.

Angela went through 3 trials in Hel. She fought beasts and dead souls, she fought her brothers (not Thor and Loki, i’m talking about Balder and Tyr), she also fought her grandfather. In the end, she fought Hela. And with the help of Sera and Leah,

(Leah is Hela’s handmaiden, Leah rivaled against Hela to help Sera and Angela dethrone her.)

She was able to beat Hela and dethrone her. Making Angela the new Queen of Hel.

But!! After lifting Freyja’s curse upon the Angels and freeing Sera’s soul, Angela gave the crown to her brother, Balder, and Balder became the new ruler of Hel. Balder and her were on good terms now.

— Angela and Sera decided to live a normal life. In New York, they bought a small apartment and lived there. (I love my parents <3)

But I never answered the question “Why Angela’s not in MCU.”

—— As an active member of marvel stan twitter, i know Marvel too well. As some of you may not know, Marvel is owned by Disney. And Disney is known for.. straight bland characters.

: Disney don’t want any of the gay things in their company. Why? Oh. Because children watch them. I mean yeah sure dude.. Aside from the fact that Marvel movies have violence and blood in them, a woman dating a woman is the worst thing a kid will ever see.

I didn't know Thor had a sister. In which comics does she show up?

She was introduced in Original Sin when Thor & co found out there was a tenth realm, the realm of angels, where Angela was raised. She’s also in asgardians of the galaxy for a while.

She was kidnapped as a baby by the angels, Odin and Frigga believed she was dead. She was lead to believe she was an angel and that the asgardians were her enemies. She happens to be Thor’s older lost sister.

They don’t get along in the beggining, she tries to kill him several times but eventually they work together when they have the same goal. 

Her real name is Aldrif Odinsdottir and she’s not the only sister Thor has, there is little Laussa who is half demon, but she’s lovely anyway.
