personally, I treat my pets like people in their own right. it's my job to take care of their needs—food, meds, scooping litter—but also to let them be happy. play with them, pet them, give them cuddles, help them feel safe and enriched

being treated with love and care like that is ultimately the fantasy I'm engaging with. I'm not saying I want to be a slave, I'm not sitting here projecting onto imperialist/colonialist narratives. I'm imagining a bigger, more capable being taking care of me in exchange for my companionship. being beloved like a pet.

you can unravel the moral implications and that's cool and valid but you can't determine someone's actual values from the smut they enjoy. it's truly not about that stuff

hELP I'm on this roleplay server and this. this one dude (cishet white dude by the way)'s character is. oh my god.

stupidly powerful since the owner and players pretty collectively agreed 'yeah you can write a powerful character, we trust you with that'. Which we can! And his writing has absolutely fucked so far, he's doing well!

It's just that the character in question is a plant creature. not from earth. a bunch of vines and wood and plant matter coiled into a human-y shape. Twice as tall as average human height. Has extensive knowledge of the universe due to being from an Insanely experienced and advanced species and also just being fuckoff thousands of years old in the first place. Does not use its extreme power for harm in the slightest. Finds humanity 'cute' if anything.
