#Throwback to #Highschool #Prom on #TheBigIsland of #Hawaii junior & sophomore years (left to right) wish I had one from Senior Year with Manu (my high school sweetheart) but there were consequences even in my early years beginning to learn about substance abuse and addiction. Despite having excellent grades, I narrowly graduated. It’s hard to look back at the boy I was, and think about all that I would put myself through in the next 20 years or so. Recovery is possible no matter how far down someone goes. I’ve learned about the depths of hell beyond what my mind could have ever imagined, yet I’ve also made it back from places no one thought I would live through. My story is not one of success but of extreme failure. Despite that I am alive, and I am proof that anyone can come back from the darkest of places.
