jeremy walking down the aisle on jerejean's wedding day while jean waits at the alter. but as soon as jean catches sight of him, looking stunning in his suit, his hair curled prettily and his smile bright and brilliant (jean already knows he's going to have to rub gentle circles over his cheeks later in the evening when he inevitably complains that his face has been hurting from smiling so much) jean can't help himself. he's stepping off the alter and striding down the aisle. he's giving laila a thank you kiss for walking jeremy down this far (they barely made it five steps) then he's taking jeremy's hand, pressing a kiss to the finger he'll be sliding a ring onto very soon. he's clasping their hands together, tangling their fingers, and leading him the rest of the way. both of them walking down the aisle together. towards their future.

thea muldani's pastel make-up means soooooooo much to me actually. Like. five years spent in the nest, spent being crushed and berated and tortured for being good enough to play on the nation's best collegiate team. a team that defines themselves in black and red, a team that spends their tenure as ravens literally smothered in it, and then thea makes it out and she wants to be a person again. she wants to find her own identity and find out who she is when she's allowed to have her own identity, and while the ravens WERE her team and she DOES feel a sense of loyalty to them, she also is trying to be a human being for the first time all over again!!! exactly what jean is trying to do in tsc/tgr!!!!! thea was eighteen when she got into the nest and 23 when she got out, and that's a hard part of your life to miss out on!!! so yes she's wearing her jersey number on a necklace, and she's trying out pastel makeup because maybe she really likes the colors and maybe she is still relearning herself and maybe she deserves to try.

Listen, i love this take as much as the next aftg fan. Like really. Because Neil being the unreliable narator, didnt really observe em enough and any crumbs is a full meal.

But, have we considered the equaly interesting take of, she was there expecting the foxes to get in some sort of trouble, and god forbit she wouldnt be there to patch up her foxes.

A while later imagine them at practice. Its scrimage time and Jeremy is on the opposite team that Jean. They're each other marks and at some point Jean gets the ball away from Jeremy and beautifuly passes it to a striker on his team onky for that striker to fuck it up a lil and not getting the ball in the goal.

Imagine a frustrated Jean muttering something in French before trying to block a pass that someones making at Jeremy, and imagine a in place frozen Jeremy who doesnt see the pass coming, because he is shocked he understood the whole sentence.

“There you are” Jean says. “You go away when you go home” Jean says. But Jeremy sees him go away too. Jean mysteriously left with Neil, and then Kevin arrived to LA and “Jeremy felt the history between them and was dizzy”. Jean goes away when he shares his secrets with said foxes, but not Jeremy. So Jean sees the change in Jeremy, but Jeremy can see the change in Jean too. And maybe Jeremy asks himself which Jean is real. The one who takes his weight so easily, and teaches him the phrase in his language, who likes peaches, and braids his best friend’s hair, and grumbles about a cardboard dog. Or the one who gets him out of his way and doesn’t want him to look 🥲

Then every now and then just silently sitting at the window, smoking, giggling to himeslf (from him its just a quick sigh/exhale) jumping off the window, writing the few last squares down (we all know how the last ones are hard to come up with) and goin back to his cigarette.
