ARE YOU TOO TOUGH TO TUTU?

A.C. Moore, a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer National Partner, has announced a ‪#‎Not2Tough2Tutu‬ campaign with CEO Pepe Piperno challenging people everywhere to capture and share a photo of themselves in a pink tutu to raise funds for the American Cancer Society during the month of October.

You can HELP! Grab a tutu, take a selfie and challenge three friends to do the same. For each post on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, with the hashtag #Not2Tough2TuTu, the A.C. Moore Foundation will donate one dollar, up to $25,000, to American Cancer Society!

In addition to the #Not2Tough2TuTu campaign, A.C. Moore has partnered with fashion company, Jesse James, to produce a custom tutu kit with the American Cancer Society receiving 10% of all proceeds. Further fueling the campaign, A.C. Moore also hosts an in-store fundraiser across all locations where customers will have the opportunity to donate one dollar to American Cancer Society at checkout throughout October.

With the changing of the seasons, there are certain essentials that are a must have for fall. Here are my Top 5 Fall Essentials: 1. Chap stick to keep the lips moisturized and cracked-free 2. Skin Moisturizing is very important in the fall winter months and keeps your skin glowing. 3. Sun Protection is something people think isn't as important in the colder months but it is. 4.Hair Serum is needed because keeping your hair moisturized is super important as your skin. Make sure you are tending to your hair so that is doesn't become brittle. 5. Layers layers layers!!! Its necessary all season long especially in those windy days.

As most of our customers know, at AK Couture Boutique we have a forever love with independent designers that have a unique flair with what they create whether it’s clothing or jewelry. Meet our latest designer line that we carry; Peta Odini.

Peta is a fashion designer from the Caribbean focusing on menswear but most of her pieces are unisex (which is awesome!). Her clothing features bright and unique patterns and details with a heavy presence of fine tailoring in her shorts and pants. Her tops feature in house sketches that later come to life into the clothing. Check out her work below!
