Changed.
There was a time in my life when seeing couples be sweet made me smile.  But now, I've become a bitter, bitter person.
Valentine's Day?  What a joke.
What has become of me?

Being thankful.
Today at church, one thing stood out to me the most.  It's that... with every adversity, God is there to help you and give you strength, even in the smallest ways.
God sends you someone to give you a hug, someone to make you smile, something to make you laugh.
And I think back to when I received my horrible test grade yesterday.  And how a friend sent me a text right after that made me smile.
Or today, when my head is going crazy, and my heart not so stable.  I think of the two amazing people I had dinner with today.  Their patience, understanding, and humor are exactly what I needed.  The pain is still there, but their presence gave me strength.
For good food and good people.
I'm really grateful, God.

struggles
when you procrastinate so much in doing laundry that you have to force the clothes into the machine.

Let me try again.
"Why are you mad?!"
It's that feeling of waiting for something, but it doesn't come so you get disappointed.
But when it’s there, you don’t become happy.
Instead, you get upset that it didn’t come sooner.

Why are you mad?
I don't know. Maybe because your question is annoying.
Don't ask me that if you can't handle the answer.
Ugh.

another reason why i love my little brother.
I was browsing the internet when I came across the movie Mr. Popper's Penguins and I remembered this conversation with Lancey a couple of years back.
Lance: I finished the Mr. Popper's Penguins book.
Me: Oh, really? How was it?
Lance: ...I cried.
Me: You cried?! Why did you cry?
Lance: -sniffles- Because... -can't finish sentence and tears up-
Me: My baby, what's wrong? What happened?
Lance: -rubs his eyes- ... they didn't get to keep the penguins! -cries all out-
His sensitivity is so adorable.  I miss him so much.

My hair was in a bun...
Kuya: Jammy, we'll use a separate car so they can head out first and we can do our hair.
Me: What are you talking about? My hair IS done.
Kuya: What? You look like a "katulong."

I'm Japanese.
Or partly, at least.
According to my maternal DNA sequence analysis from my LS23 lab, the region of my sequence that was amplified is 100% identical to the sequence of those from Japanese ancestry.
What.
Not even 96 or 98 percent like other people in the class. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.
Not that there's anything wrong with having a Japanese maternal lineage... but, since when?!
What is race.

When you worry about math, your brain feels the pain
Using fMRI, researchers have found that the brain areas that are activated by the anticipation of math problems in highly math-anxious people overalp with the same brain regions that register threat and pain. The fMRI scans showed  that the anticipation of math caused activity in the brain that was similar to physical pain.
Surprisingly, researchers found that the associated brain activation doesn’t occur during the actual math problem, but rather during the anticipation of the problem.
This latest study shows that math anxiety might need to be addressed just like any other phobia, as there is an indication of a real, negative psychological reaction to the prospect of doing math.
Although this is compelling - careful consideration of confounding factors is always important, and further careful research needs to be carried out to address these.

Lost.
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  All I've ever wanted to be was become a doctor.  But I don't know why.  And that scares me.
I don't know where my passion lies.

My dad randomly calls...
Dad: I called your sister but she was at the gym, so I called you instead.
Me: WOW! Second choice...
Dad: You should go to the gym, too.
Me: I'm sleepy.

Hehe, I like.
By the way, Mako is such a player.  Reminds me of Sokka, except Sokka didn't really two-time so bluntly like Mako. -__-
