Then go to accounts, then privacy, after that if you want to hide or customize your dp or status, click on desired option.

From there you will get three options:-everybody, contacts and no one. You can choose whatever you want.

You can select the persons to whom you want to show your status or Dp by selecting the contacts tab.

Format your text

This feature is very interesting. Whatsapp uses its own font called FixedSys.

For changing the font of your text, you  have to type three grave accent character before and after the text. 

This can be accessed by long pressing the apostrophe.
