What is Valve automation and Its types-:
Industrial valves are flow control devices that are used in pipelines and process plants. The valve’s job is somewhat like that of a tap where the flow of the pipeline is controlled by opening or closing the valve. Valve Automation is the process of adding a valve actuator and control system to the valve. Actuators could be powered by human, electric, pneumatic or hydraulic energy.

Positioner valve
Valve positioners are used on controlling valves where accurate and rapid control is required without error or hysteresis. Positioners are generally mounted on the side-yoke or top casing of the pneumatic actuator for linear sliding stem control valves, and at/near the end-of-shaft for rotary control vales. For either basic design type, “mechanical feedback linkage” connected directly to the valve’s stem provides feedback to the controller. The process controller tells the positioner to “change” position; the feedback linkage reports back to the positioner confirming that a change has occurred and giving a “sense” of the magnitude of the change in position.

Seamless Pipe-:
Seamless pipes are manufactured without seam welds. These pipes are manufactured from steel billets which are heated and drilled to generate the tubular section.
In a Seam or Welded pipe, the seam or the weld-joint is the weaker part of the pipe limiting the strength of the pipe to the strength of the weld-joint. Whereas the seamless pipe does not have any such joint and thus has uniform structure & strength all over the pipe body. Thus the seamless pipe can withstand higher pressure, higher temperature, higher mechanical stress & corrosive atmosphere and find wide applications in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Fertilizer, Power, Automotive, Bearing, Mechanical & Structural applications.

ERW Pipe (Electric Resistance Welding)-:
Electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe is made from steel coil and the weld seam runs parallel to the pipe. The width of the coil is the same as the circumference of the pipe so diameters are limited to 24 inches. However, because the manufacturing process is fast, it is ideal for large production runs of small (<= 24 in.) diameter sections.
LSAW Pipe (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding)-:
LSAW pipe made with submerged arc welding. The process is cutting, bending, and welding of steel plates. LSAW pipes are available in the maximum size range as compared to other Pipes. These Pipes are available between 16 and 24 inches but they also suitable for pipelines beyond 24 inches. LSAW pipes are categorized into two main types. One is the longitudinal which includes a single or double straight seam weld, and another is the spiral type which includes HSAW, SSAW, or SAWL.
