“You are so not cute.” grabbing James’ hand, Kashuu takes a look closer at those nails. ABSOLUTELY A DISASTER!!! The uchigatana couldn’t help but cringe at the color. 

“So, where are we going?”

“This is not the first time that I broke.” as sword, being broken is a regret, a shame. He couldn’t be useful for his master, then why would he live ? Why does he still exist? 

Brother. He wonders how Yasusada must have felt now that he’s gone? 

“Yasusada is one thing, ----” but he misses the saniwa. Maybe they wouldn’t mind losing him, but to think that he is not needed and not used anymore, he’s a failure as a sword. 

“Nevermind.” he shakes his head. “You’re unpleasant. If I don’t please my master, I have no reason to live.”

“Hmph, it is not the last time I checked?” he chuckled. “ Besides why so edgy? Wear happier colors! Black is just depressing!”

“Why would I be sad?” placing his hand against his jaw, Kashuu continued. “ I know that my master will love me no matter what, even when we are parted like this. I know there are people who wait for me back home, until then... I just need to suck it up.” 

He’s just lonely. Even when he doesn’t want to admit it. 

“Okay, dwarrow, “ Kashuu stated. “ If you’re a dwarrow, then I am a spirit. Of course I am! If I am not pretty, my master wouldn’t be pleased!”

James clutches his heart and stumbles around.  “Ow !  You wound me.  But yea I’m ready.”  

“I’m just stating the facts.” a chuckle escaped from his lips. Kashuu had always been happy everytime somebody asks him out. Since he doesn’t have much time to go out anyway as somebody who takes care of the new born swords back at the citadel.

“Woah…it’s like a drawing !  But…you can’t tell it’s a drawing.  How did you get it ?”  He asks and touches the photo.  “We’re you happy with your partner ?”  He assumes he means the One for him

“What why ?  It’s not sticking on me and my hand are clean.”  He shows off his fingerless gloved hands.  “That…sounds very shallow and sad.”  Though now Kili feels he’s ready to be thrown and tossed away.  Great now he’s thinking bad and he has to shake his head to get them out.

“I hope I won’t be tossed away; I am a dwarrow i will fight back.”  Or sulk…probably sulk.

Except it’s not really a drawing, it’ s a photo! Happy? Why is he asking things like that? It’s not like he is dating Yasusada or what not. But was he happy? He felt miserable during his time of waiting Yasusada to come to the citadel. And is currently lonely now that they are separated again. 

Looking at his picture, Kashuu smiled. 

“Happy? Me? I’m always happy~” obviously that’s a lie.”That Yasusada , he is like a brother to me. “ The only thing he had left from Okita Souji. 

“How is that saaad? I’m just stating the facts, FACTS! You humans always, always pick up the most beautiful one, the one who shines the most!” sulking, Kashuu pouted. “That. Is. Why, “ he folded his photo back. “ You need to be pretty 24/7.”

Because he’s an uchigatana, not a tantou. He really does hope that it answers your question. 

“Tell me about it , “ he responded, rolling his eyes as a result. “ I am the oldest sword that my master had summoned, I should have proper control with this emotions. Buuuuut, it’s that HARD.”

It clouds things... huh. A dry laughter escaped his lips. Sounds just like somebody he knows. 

“Without emotions, you are not ‘human’. Why is this bothering you so much anyway?”

Kili looks up at him (which he really finds annoying and will someday it will ruin his neck.  Why can’t people be short like him ?)  “Yea it is weird to feel things taht’s for sure.”  The dwarf chuckled.  “But…do you really think that ?  What if like…emotions are something you can’t have because it clouds things.”  Can’t be a king with emotions…but Kili isn’t going to be king…

“You looked horrible.” As for fashion sense, Kashuu is never a fan of black, despite him wearing black for most of the time. But if only he has his red hakama which he left at home. 

“Hello, James. At least you looked better than the last fashion disaster. So, are you ready♪~?”

James had really just gotten out of his clothes…and made the people chasing him land in a dumpster…then he hid…and now he’s clean and is waiting inside his work, waiting and touching the nail polish.  “I’d rock a good black.”  he mused to himself.

well, that isn’t new. For Kashuu at least, this heart business has always been weird from the very start. Why did his master gave him a soul? A heart? 

“Having feelings isn’t something you need to be ashamed of.” Being around humans for so long, for centuries , Kashuu had learned and watched them suffer. Sometimes even feels empathy as well. 

Because of that person, he never wanted to feel again. 

“This heart business is indeed ODD. “ he grabbed his own chest. “ To feel something, to have a heart. But it wasn’t something you need to be ashamed.”

Heck, he can’t even understand his own emotions.

“Photographs ?  Well that’s a funny word now isn’t it ?  How do you graph a photo ?  I prefer drawings…even though I have the drawing skills of dirt…meaning I have none.”  The dwarf spoke a bit.  

“Paint…huh !  Another word I like.”  Kili pokes at the nails.  He then goes to his nails and gets self conscious.  He has a lot of that being a dwarf with very little beard hair (though that comes with age…even Ori has a beard and he’s younger by one year).  

“I won’t be loved if I’m not…cute ?”  He asks confused.  Sounds…right but off as well.  

Wow, this person is really ...not up to date with the technologies , is he? He somehow is LUCKY that the saniwa gave their swords at least basic knowledge about technologies.

Leaving a loud sigh, Kashuu takes out a photograph from his pocket. That is the only photograph he keeps for the last mission. It is taken last summer when they went to the beach. Yes, him and his splitting image long time ‘partner’, Yamatonokami Yasusada. 

“Look, “ he showed it to the person next to him. “ This is a photograph of me and my partner. “ 

His red eyes widened as the other pokes his nails. “Heeey! Don’t touch my nails!” a frown is visible on his feature. “Of course you won’t! People --well humans-- loves adorable and pretty individual! If you’re not pretty , people will toss you away!”

James snorts at that.   “Well thank you.  Maybe I can start a prankster guild here.”  He teased.  “Oh hush you.  How can we be friends if I go away after helping and then that’s it?  That is just one sad and short interaction”  Would be nice to make friends here.  Can’t go pranking alone.

James smiles at.  “Great !  Should I pick you up here ?”  

“As long as the Awataguchi isn’t here , I’m safe.” he mumbles to himself. The awataguchi tantous are another reason why he dislikes pranksters. A prankster is one thing, but those brats are on another level. 

“Aww, aren’t you sweet? I’m touched.” flashing a smile, like always he continued. “ Yep~ Make sure that you aren’t late, see ya~!”

That is still HARD for him to believe, unless he sees it by his own.”Okay,okaaay. If this elf that you speak of really do exists, you surely have photographs of them taken?”

How do he get that?

“I painted myself! It’s cute, right~? Do you want me to paint your nails too? If you’re not cute, nobody will love you afterall~.”

He knows that most men are bullshit. This includes his past master, and he couldn’t really believe that men would mean the things that they said . Unless there are proof about it, of course. 

“I don’t know if you’re really LUCKY , or you’re just naive when it comes to men. You seriously believed that he would love you forever ? “

More than just appearance, huh? 

“You should be more careful with men. Most of the time they don’t even mean it!”

she had thought like him at first, in a sense, but she had learned otherwise, LOVE gifting her that.

     ‘  THERE  IS  SOMETHING  THAT  humans  say…  ’ ellana takes a moment to make sure that she gets the saying correct. ‘ it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. ’ even now, there’s a pain in her chest when she thinks of solas. ‘ there areupsides to having a heart – to having strong emotions. i imagine life would be quite dull without them. ’ or totally chaotic.

“But wwhhhhy?” he coudn’t understand. If anything, the only one that he couldn’t understand up until now is how to manage his own heart, his feelings. The scar that will never be healed, even deeper than the scar on his nape years ago. 

“If I don’t have a heart, it would be easier for me to move on. “ not having these ‘feelings’ earlier seemed more peaceful.It’s not like he hates that person to begin with, but to think that he wasn’t the last person to abandon him , and most likely there will be another person who will do the same thing-----just stings.
