Maybe it’s brave to quit your job to go paint in Peru for a year, but it’s also brave to work two jobs to help pay for your mom’s medical bills. It’s smart to stay at the law firm until your loans are paid off. It’s OK to only tolerate your job but love your hobbies, because as soon as passions are turned into careers, you risk turning love into work. So you don’t love your job — who gives a shit? Are you happy with yourself? Are you happy with the way you treat people? Are you happy with your life?

I haven't been here for a really long time, but just yesterday I decided to take a shot of myself in first arabesque after my first ballet class of 2015 and I've got to say that I am really, really proud of where I've come after two years. Sure I may have the worst arches and sure my technique is far from perfect, but I definitely feel that I have made the best of my circumstances to come this far and I am not afraid to say that I am proud. It has finally sunk in and I am so very sure that I have to tuck this ballerino dance dream in a nostalgic place in my mind soon enough as soon as real life catches up with me, but you have had a good run Daryl. Finding ballet was the best thing that has ever happened to me and it will always be. 2015, may you be a fantastic year for all things dance and all future endeavours.

this is the video of raul and I that I posted some screenshots of…we were actually messing around with a balance cheat (which didn’t even work in this video haha) also I decided after I’d already given up on the arabesque that I wanted to keep going so forgive the awkward…

Raul is the best partner—if you seem like you’re getting nervous, he whispers encouraging things like, “you got this!” or “you’re beautiful!” which is why I started smiling going into the second promenade.

Being bffs with your partner is the best thing ever :’)
