Julie is a cuddler. She can and will cuddle with anyone who is okay with it. When she can finally touch the boys, she hugs them a ton and gets cozy w them on the couch. Luke blushes a lot, but he’s not complaining.

willie takes alex to get milkshakes and fries or mcflurry's in the middle of the night after alex has anxiety/panic attacks, or just a bad day. they eat they eat their unhealthy stuff and sit on the concrete of the parking lot or dance in empty streets until alex is calm again, and then willie takes him home and strokes alex's hair and tells him stories until he falls asleep.

ok ok I get it, we’re all freaking out over Madi cutting her hair. but just think, start of Season 2, it’s Julie’s life post-Orpheum, her boys are here to stay and nothing’s ever going to be the same. so she decides to go and completely change her look, say goodbye to the scared, mourning version of herself and turn over a new leaf.

Julie cuts her hair, does a complete style overhaul not that her S1 style isn’t INCREDIBLE but we know our girl has the range and she steps into the garage for the first time with her New Look™ and all the guys stop playing in the middle of a song with their jaws on the floor

Okay, so we never really hear, like... anything about Willie's backstory. We get some brief info about what it's like at the HGC, and we know how he died - he literally wears the evidence - but that's about it. What if, as a way to keep ghosts under his control for long periods of time, Caleb slowly makes them less able to remember their real lives?

Willie seems extremely casual about not wanting to figure out his unfinished business. We don't really know if all ghosts have ghost powers, but we know that Willie has some, and that Caleb literally owns his soul - but we don't know why he owns his soul. Except that Caleb seems to want to have power over ghosts with powers. We don't know if Willie had to trade something, knowingly or not - what if Willie doesn't either?

What if the way Caleb keeps powerful ghosts happy to remain in ghost limbo forever is to erase their memories of their past, so they can't get bored of just existing, or try to fulfill dreams they had in life? Even in the brief few hours the phantoms spend in the HGC, they forget about Julie for a while. What if that's part of Caleb's magic?

hey so I’ve had revelations about why I love both Julie and the Phantoms and Tuck Everlasting (specifically the musical):

girls grieving a recently deceased parent unable to live how they used to as a result who meet energetic, charming, just-want-to-have-fun magically immortal boys born long before them who show them what life is about again, and they’re also in a love triangle between him and a sweet (if a little awkward) boy who’s human and mortal that she already knew. energetic immortal boy has sad/angsty brother figure(s) who are more concerned with the death thing than he is. also the main villain is a flamboyant man who runs a grand spectacle show who wants to capture said immortals and capitalize on their unique abilities. and they’re both musicals. AND both immortal boys are played by actors notably older than the girl’s actress but in canon they pretend that isn’t the case.

Hey, I saw the post you reblogged with "Luke meets someone who can play music, immediately develops a crush on them, and his solution is always to invite them into his band" and immediately went aro!luke who just wants to jam with cool musicians, ofc he doesn't have crushes on any of them, it would just be rad to rock out with them, but the sunset curve guys think he's crushing on them all and don't believe luke until they see him freak out over a girl having an actual crush on him

luke who is genuinely just so obsessed with music that his first thought whenever he meets a great musician who he likes as a person is just... that they gotta join the band. he collects good musicians with great senses of humour like they’re pokemon cards: reggie, then bobby, then alex.

and reggie sees the STARRY EYES that luke gets the first time he sees bobby playing guitar in music class, and bobby sees the way luke’s jaw drops seeing alex play drums at a church event the next year, the way he stammers as he asks alex if maybe he’d wanna hang out with them sometime, or join their band. and alex literally just assumes reggie and luke must be dating, at first, because of how they’re all over each other.

BUT upon consulting with each other the sunset curve boys realise luke isn't, in fact, dating any of them, even though from his tactility and his excited flushed cheeks and his constant "love you"s it would... SEEM like that's what he wants??? but when they confront him about it he's amused, almost baffled, laughs his head off and tells them that he loves them, but not like that, ew.

(they don't realise exactly what he means by ew until luke literally has to go be sick in the bathroom after sarah from music, who he's been raving about for weeks because of how well she can sing and how beautifully she plays violin, tells him how much she wishes he'd take her on a date. he barely speaks to sarah again after that and the boys realise he was serious, that it's just... how luke is).

I really want Ray to find out things about the boys but it’s all by accidentally overhearing things that Julie and Flynn say about them completely out of context. Like they’re in Julie’s room talking about the fruke scene when Ray hears Julie say ‘he doesn’t even eat so I don’t know why he was doing that’ and suddenly Ray gets really worried that one of her bandmates isn’t eating enough. Then she mentions that the boys spent all day and night busking last Tuesday and he’s just like ?????? Were they safe?????? Did they sleep??????? Don’t they have school to go to???????? And now he’s just constantly concerned about his daughter’s weird Swedish hologram friends. Don’t get me started on when he finds out that Alex’s parents were homophobic and that they live in a garage. Dude is this close to booking the boys plane tickets so they can come to America and stay with them
