Everything in life is conditional. That is because life itself is conditional. Life arose from the conditions that were present however billions of years ago. The Earth is the way it is because it evolved according to the conditions that were present. Some even believe the conditions of the day or month you were born determines your personality. I am typing this because of the conditions that met me today. It is perhaps because it is not the nicest weather outside that I find myself at my keyboard. These conditions brought me here because I am quite easily influenced. I could choose to believe that external conditions run my world. Instead I like to look at it as I am in tune with nature. I respond to the circumstances around me. In my experience, a great photo is taken when all the conditions line up. I used to believe that it was just luck, or fate that I was there to snap the shutter button closed. Lately, I feel like the reason I am in these positions is because I am easily impacted by the natural world. My conditioned self starts to align with nature and the result is photographs that I am really proud of. This photo for instance was taken at the exact right moment, when the conditions all lined up. The setting sun, the receding tide, the congregating seabirds and the two humans immersed in them.

Hello, I am Corey. This is me. That tiny blue dot in the center of the frame, paddling the Great South Bay on Long Island, NY. Speaking of tiny blue dots, this will serve as my vehicle to share my documentation of my experiences on this "tiny pale blue dot" us humans call Earth. I enjoy moving through landscapes of all kinds, creating images that I can appreciate and relive through this medium. I type this as a reminder to myself that these images are for me, by me.To express myself creatively through photos that continue to inspire me to get outdoors and become closer to nature. The goal is to become in tune with her, creating images out of the emotions conjured up during any kind of adventure. Being open to the possibilities of nature, and how my mind and photographic eye interpret it along the way, eventually becoming engrained digitally. If this digitization of my emotions inspires more folks to enjoy nature, then these images are for them as well. This is me.
